John Bramwell

John Bramwell

8 Aug 2025 - 6 Dec 2025

John Harold Arnold Bramwell, to give him his full name, is perhaps best-known for his time as the songwriter and frontman of Manchester three-piece, I Am Kloot. However, he also possesses an enviable back catalogue as a solo artist and continues to work on new material under the guise of his latest band, John Bramwell & The Full Harmonic Convergence. Bramwell’s first studio output appeared in 1989, when he was performing and recording as Johnny Dangerously and entitled You Me & The Alarm Clock, an album The Guardian referred to as one of the ‘greatest albums you’ve never heard.’ Following a stint as a television presenter and as a member of the band, The Mouth, Bramwell formed I Am Kloot, with two members of The Mouth. They went on to record six studio albums, including the Mercury-Prize nominated album, Sky At Night. Since 2016, Bramwell has reverted to being a solo artist and tours continuously, around the UK and Europe. A home-recorded solo album, Leave Alone the Empty Spaces appeared in 2018 and the follow-up, a more expansive affair, with a working title of The Light Fantastic, is now scheduled for release in 2022.
Andrew O'Neill

Andrew O'Neill

28 Sept 2025 - 28 Sept 2025

After the apocalypse, hope. Also, jokes. Award-winning cult comedian Andrew O’Neill brings sunshine to the party with a show full of anger, optimism and very, very silly mucking about.
Welly

Welly

2 Oct 2025 - 15 Oct 2025

Welly is an extraordinary character with a remarkable literary way of describing himself, his band and society. A square peg in the round hole of suburban life, Welly embraced his difference from an early age and went onto channel his observations on suburbia into songs. Whip-smart, playful, funny and terrifyingly smart pop songs to be precise. He then set about finding the perfect vehicle to pedal his wares and so formed a band and delivered a debut album bursting with democratised pop music for people that feel fun in the charts stopped at Love Machine by Girls Aloud.
Naima Bock

Naima Bock

12 Oct 2025 - 26 Oct 2025

Naima Bock co-founded Goat Girl with friends at age 15, and after releasing their debut album on Rough Trade Records she left the band to explore other musical avenues. Her music now combines folk influenced songwriting with jazzy instrumentation, partially inspired by Naima's childhood growing up in Brazil.
Amelia Coburn

Amelia Coburn

9 Sept 2025 - 14 Feb 2026

BBC Radio Young Folk Awards Nominee, UKE Magazine Best Newcomer winner and now English Folk Expo Mentor Scheme participant, Amelia Coburn is a truly stunning solo performer who bears comparisons to Kate Bush and Nick Drake with beguiling original folk and jazz influenced songs (many of which have received national airplay on 6music, BBC Radio 2 and RTE1 in Ireland - she can count Mark Radcliffe and Tom Robinson as big fans) who has performed at Cambridge Folk Festival, Costa Del Folk in Ibiza and numerous other national and international events including sell out solo shows in her native North East and elsewhere as well as supporting a diverse range of artists including The Wedding Present, Steve Harley and the late folk legend Vin Garbutt.

Tashi Dorji

Tashi Dorji

5 Oct 2025 - 5 Oct 2025

Tashi Dorji grew up in Bhutan, on the eastern side of the Himalayas, listening to classical and flamenco music via shortwave radio and collecting bootleg cassettes from India. After moving to Asheville, North Carolina in 2000, he encountered the music of Albert Ayler, Derek Bailey and John Zorn. As a result of these formative and later influences, Dorji developed an improvised playing style unbound by tradition, yet with a direct line to intuitive artistry. Using harmonics, prepared guitar and open tunings, his recordings feature improvisations that spasmodically grow along tangential, surprising paths. All references break loose during a composition, as Dorji keys into his own inner world through a labyrinth of warbling tones. The experience for listeners is equally disorienting and reflective, in which Dorji’s musicianship evokes both haunting beauty and mindfulness. Presented by Crushing Death & Grief. This is an 18+ event
Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band

Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band

24 Aug 2025 - 24 Aug 2025

At the frayed bottom-edge of Indiana just a moderate bike ride north of Louisville, Kentucky multi-instrumentalist, artist and songwriter Ryan Davis Americana-noir soundwaves have been emanating for years in a myriad of forms. But not until late-2023's rich and glowing double-disc Dancing On The Edge, the debut breakout release as Ryan Davis & the Roadhouse Band, was his creative presence so widely acknowledged by press, fellow contemporaries and fans alike, commonly deeming the record an instant classic of idiosyncratic American songwriting greatness. Spring 2025's UK/Ireland tour gave Ryan and band the platform to affirm speculation with a series of intensely passionate shows founder/author of UNCUT Allan Jones citing the band's Kilkenny Roots Festival show as 'intense, amazing, an emotional exorcism with lyrics unfolding like a fever dream'. May 7 this year saw the announcement of their second album New Threats From The Soul and with it the release of a titular single that was immediately pinned as 'Best New Track' by Pitchfork, Jeremy Larson stating '[the song] feels like a dam break, a flood of sublime, witty, and dryly devastating lyrics that count among some of the best I've heard this decade'. As Ryan's fellow Louisville contemporary Nathan Salsburg muses the new album reckons mightily with the perplexities of human efficacy and agency in an absurd and debased world. This probably sounds hopelessly plodding and severe. It is notnot remotely. It's a shit-ton of fun. The songs are all earwigs; the arrangements genuinely thrilling, enlivening efforts by the crackerjacks that comprise the sprawling Roadhouse Band. Each trip through the record reveals more of the depth and breadth and tangle of its tapestry. New Threats From The Soul is a masterclass in reducing the sublime to the prosaic, immensity to infinitesimally, and vice versa [the trick can only work both ways]. With the new full-length slotted for July 25th via Tough Love [UK/EU] and Sophomore Lounge [USA] backed by main stage appearances at UK's End of the Road and Moseley Folk & Arts Festival, more support shows with MJ Lenderman and a staggering 30-something date UK/EU tour this August and September, this dense sharing of Davis' canon is set to further connect a worldwide audience at rapid pace, his lyrical craftsmanship arresting listeners with its playful sincerity and surrealistic view of a broken planet backed by a group of skilled players that are as musically woven into the cloth of the songs as the writer himself is their words. Ryan Davis & the Roadhouse Band: You will not soon forget this name.
Lilo

Lilo

30 Oct 2025 - 5 Nov 2025

With two stunning alt-country / indie rock EPs (2022s Sleep Country and 2023s I Dont Like My Chances On The Outside), childhood friends Christie Gardner and Helen Dixon proved themselves a new duo with something special going on. As lilo, their songs reflected the life of twenty-somethings in and out of love and luck, with this human element perfectly weighted alongside their arresting harmonies and rich instrumentation. While informed by a deep understanding and love of folk music, with references to Karen Dalton and Julie Collins a regular occurrence, their music is also modern, in line with the likes of Julia Jacklin, Laura Marling and Mitski. They say they like to give their songs a poppier lean because We want to have fun and try not to think too much about genre. We just write what we feel makes sense for the sentiment of each song. Signed to Dalliance Recordings (Francis of Delirium, HighSchool, Gia Margaret, Rowena Wise), 2025 will finally see the release of their brilliant debut album, Blood Ties. A title that reflects the pairs enduring bond after years spent together, the inspiration for its making came after a turbulent summer they both endured; At the time, it felt like we just couldnt catch a break, it was just one disaster after another, Helen says. Age restriction: 14+ / 14 - 16s accompanied by an adult
