Makin' Moves Day Session Wth Kapela
Makin' Moves continue their summer day time parties as they return to the Book Club Shoreditch for another basement session on Saturday 5th July! This one kicks off at 4pm so you can come shake a leg and then be tucked up in bed by 11pm LOL Joining Matt and Jamesey for this special event will be Kapela all the way from Paris. This man tore up the dance floor last june when he graced us at Earth Kitchen so it was time to bring him back again to tear it up once again! Kapela has been one of the rising stars in the soulful / afro scene for sometime. Building up a reputation as one of the top djs in Paris at the infamous Djoon club where he has a monthly Sunday residency and we experienced for ourselves last month! Also make sure you join us early doors from 4.30pm for another house dance work shop this time hosted by one of the best in the business Frankie J! His To The Rhythm series continues this ethos, featuring extended DJ sets that traverse genres from acid rave to alternative pop. As a producer, he has worked with artists like Ride, The Killers, and Duran Duran, while his Phantasy label has become a hub for innovative music. Celebrated for his remixes and his role in Beyond The Wizards Sleeve, Alkans influence extends from underground clubs to festival stages and BBC 6 Music. Ever-evolving yet timeless, he remains one of the most respected figures in electronic and alternative culture.
