The Bridge Theatre

The Bridge Theatre is to open on 18 October 2017. It has been brought to being by Nick Starr and Nicholas Hytner and is the home the London Theatre Company they have founded. The architects were Haworth Tompkins. The theatre seats 900, and will offer promenade and thrust staging arrangements as well as a traditional proscenium arch which will be used for the opening production - Young Marx. A foyer bar, run by St John, provides a light lunch and cafe produce and drinks at other times.

Adjoa Andoh and Lynette Linton co-direct the first ever company of women of colour in a Shakespeare play on a major UK stage, in a post-Empire reflection on what it means to be British in the light of the Windrush anniversary and as we leave the European Union. Richard II marks the beginning of the Globe’s year-long exploration of ‘our scepter’d isle’.

A Midsummer Night's Dream - Standing Immersive

The seating is wrapped around the action while the immersive tickets allow the story to be followed on foot.
