Hadestown

Hadestown

9 Apr 2026 - 9 Apr 2026

Supported by The Alburys Charitable Foundation" Hadestown is our second show of our Musical Theatre Season of 2026. We have just finished Come From Away and we will be doing Six (22nd-24th April). This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories - that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and lady Persephone - Hadestown invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. Presented by The BRIT School Limited. This is a PG event

This Home

This Home

23 May 2026 - 23 May 2026

This Home" is a poignant and uplifting play set in a children’s home on the verge of closure. The story explores the lives of its young residents-a mix of bookworms, gamers, silent musicians, and one phone-obsessed girl-whose world is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious new girl through "The Door." When the children learn the home is closing, they band together to stage a talent show in a desperate attempt to save it. Through music, dance, and storytelling, they find strength in one another, overcoming personal struggles and forging unbreakable bonds. Despite their efforts, they fall short of their financial goal, forcing them to confront the reality of their separation. As they prepare to leave. With humor, heartbreak, and resilience, "This Home" captures the universal themes of friendship, family, and the necessity of growing up, even in the face of disappointment. It’s a celebration of the strength found in community and the hope that can arise even in the darkest moments. Presented by BRIT Kids All ages
