The List

The Bungalow

The Bungalow is an independent and ethical live music venue nestled within the heart of Paisley Town Centre (Central Scotland). We are well known for our relaxed atmosphere and laid-back attitudes, not to mention having the friendliest team of staff (we feel) on the planet! The Bungalow legacy began in the late seventies on Renfrew Road (the original premises) with artists such as; The Fall, The Skids, The Tourists, Orange juice, Roddy Frame, Alan McGee, The Buzzcocks, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Alarm, The Jam, The Teardrop Explodes, The Clash and many many more rolled through the doors to perform to a packed Paisley crowd every night! To the disappointment of many, The Bungalow closed its doors in the early eighties. In 2008, The Bungalow revival was born opening up in its current residency of Shuttle Street with a mission to bring the upcoming and the legends into Paisley as the music home of Danny Kyle, Jerry Rafferty, Paolo Nutini, Jukebox and many more with the likes of The Rezillos, The Quireboys, Kyle Falconer, Frightened Rabbit, and The Blockheads already making their way back through our doors and inspiring up and coming bands to fulfill their music talents and dreams (We have a big dream here and everyone is part of that). We do not support any form of Pay to Play or unethical practices within our venue, we aim for; artists, customers and staff alike to be treated with an equal degree of respect and such a practice is unwelcome here. We always aim for gig tickets to be as cheap as possible however, you will probably find most of our events are free! Please come down and support live music within our independent and ethical venue. Please note that we are an 18+ venue. The appropriate ID must be presented when asked for. 16-17-year-olds may attend shows, however, this requires a responsible adult over the age of 21 years old to attend with them.

The Southmartins

The Southmartins

11 Oct 2025 - 4 Jul 2026

The Southmartins are a unique tribute to the songs and sound of The Beautiful South & Housemartins. Constantly gigging since early 2010 in the UK they have built up an unbeatable reputation as a live experience. With a set of classic hits and other bits to draw upon such as Song For Whoever, Don't Marry Her, Perfect 10, Happy Hour and many more they are guaranteed to make you smile, dance and sing. Rather than merely trying to recreate or reproduce the original recordings, or even live performances of the original bands, The Southmartins have always put their own stamp on the material and have led the way in how they approach paying tribute to these classic songs. This is not simple mimicry. Having said that, lead singer Andy's voice is about as close to Paul Heaton as you could hope for without it being the man himself (who has said the band are "very good") and with a highly skilled, and lively band they inject a huge amount of energy and soul into their shows.

STIPE - The Best of REM Live At The Bungalow
Stipe are recognised as the definitive tribute to R.E.M., the band from Athens, Georgia who are widely credited as pioneers of alternative rock, influencing countless bands who would follow, including Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Radiohead. R.E.M remain a model for young musicians everywhere: a band who always did things on their own terms, a band committed to doing the right thing for each other (such as splitting royalties equally), and never compromising on their artistic independence. They called it a day, on their own terms, in 2011, and have repeatedly ruled out ever reuniting. Having played to tens of thousands of people all over the UK and Europe, and not least to Michael Stipe himself on the 'One Show' (Michael described them as 'awesome'), Stipe are a professional six-piece, who, as huge fans of the band, take the music (if not themselves) seriously. Iconic songs such as 'Losing My Religion' and 'Everybody Hurts' are recreated note-for-note, while Richard Southern's studied vocal pays homage to Michael Stipe's unique voice and enigmatic performance style. While all shows feature the familiar hits, every setlist is different. Deeper cuts from R.E.M.'s peerless back-catalogue, such as 'Talk About The Passion' or 'Don't' Go Back To Rockville' will delight fans of the band, and is an opportunity for any fan of great music to hear this timeless material played live with love and care. Whether you're a long-time or more casual fan, or just someone who loves great music, Stipe are a must-see tribute band who capture the essence of R.E.M., one of the defining bands of our times.

The anthemic sing along tracks, laced with social commentary seem to capture the imagination of the crowd. With every track being different, it keeps the audience on their toes. Adding to this with clever loop pedal harmonies and pounding kick drums, Gary makes a habit of whipping the audience into a frenzy which sees them leaving on a high and wanting more.
Kyle Falconer (The View)

Kyle Falconer (The View)

8 Feb 2026 - 8 Feb 2026

Kyle Falconer has always been a songwriter who has been inspired by a female muse. From his chart-topping success with The View through to his acclaimed solo career, his storytelling songs have explored the good times of love and lust; the bad times of regret and heartache; and stories of some of the larger-than-life characters who have stepped into his life, alongside some playful fictional narratives. Recently crowned with the King Tuts Songwriting Award at the Scottish Music Awards, Kyle brings the best of those songs together with The One I Love The Most which will be released on February 7th ahead of Valentines Day. The album is a collection of songs from his vast back catalogue, all of which are named after women and have been newly reworked in acoustic form. Named after a lyric taken from The View fan favourite 5 Rebeccas, The One I Love The Most features songs spanning almost two decades: from the unrequited love of Claudia (from the bands #1 debut album Hats Off To The Buskers) through to the lovelorn Dixie (the original of which featured on last years Top 10 return Exorcism of Youth). Along the way, the album also reinvents highlights from his two solo albums No Thank You and No Love Songs For Laura, which often tackled more complicated themes: Laura shares regrets for his past behaviour and the impact it had on his then-partner and now-wife Laura Wilde, to the issues of gender identity addressed in Kelly. A far lighter moment comes with Madonna, a playful, celeb-heavy imagining of what the ideal afterlife might be like, while Manchester rapper PROSE adds his razor-sharp rhymes to an otherwise stripped-back Lucy. The albums lead single and brand new track Angelina is an instant highlight and will be unveiled on December 20th. Dramatic percussion and sweeping string arrangements creates an intense cinematic atmosphere to match a story of a relationship which has been ruined by conflicting perceptions on what the truth really is.

George The Concert a Tribute to George Harrison Full Band Show
For Nick Bold, portraying George Harrison is only natural By Carolyn Lamberson - The Spokesman - Review For Nick Bold, who plays George Harrison, in "George! The Concert," the decision to portray Harrison was an easy one to make. Luckily, it feels very natural, and Im not just saying this, he said by phone last month from his home in England. Ive always felt an affinity with George. He was the first person I looked too when I took up the guitar. My older sister was a huge Beatles fan so we had all the albums, so I just learned all his parts early on. He was my first guitar hero. Bold would parlay that love of guitar into a career in music. He played lead guitar in a 1970s and 80s band called Virginia Woolf, which featured Jason Bonham on drums for a time and recorded with Roger Taylor of Queen and toured with Jimmy Page and The Firm. He now has a blues-rock band, Nick Bold and the Raging Sea, that tours England. It helps, too, that he bears more than a passing resemblance to the quiet Beatle. And people always said, Do you know who you look like? You look like George Harrison. In interviews, Bold is fond of referring to Harrison as a guardian angel. It sounds corny, Bold admitted. He gets me lots of work, I know that much. And I love George, I love his music, I love the Beatles, and it really is a natural fit. In an odd way, Bold is paying tribute to two guitar heroes on this current tour. One of his favorite moments of the night is performing Harrisons classic track, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, from 1968s The White Album. And while Harrison wrote the song, hes not the one who recorded the famous guitar solo. Eric Clapton actually played that fantastic guitar solo, so I try to reproduce it note for note the best I can, and that is big shoes to fill, Bold said. Its an incredible guitar solo. Masterful. Still stepping into Harrisons shoes might give some musicians pause. For Bold, the challenge is to live up to the Harrison name. I hope I do his music and his singing and his guitar playing justice, he said. I do believe he is watching over me. Hes been such a huge part of my life
