Nick Elleray: Toxnick Masculinity

Nick Elleray: Toxnick Masculinity

1 Aug 2025 - 21 Aug 2025

'Life-affirming', 'wildly physical' and 'apt to induce wonder in the viewer': these are all phrases Nick Elleray has used to describe Cirque de Soleil. Since exploding onto the London comedy scene in the first part of the second decade of the first century of the current millennium, Nick has been seen as a comedian's comedian, a niece's uncle and a landlord's tenant. Many attempt to follow the path he has trod. Most of them succeed (it's actually quite a well-trodden path with clear signs and good facilities). But all agree that the real Nick Elleray experience leaves you feeling what can only be described as 'feelings'. In this show Nick will probably talk about biscuits, laziness and testosterone, amongst other things. "An underappreciated purveyor of quality downbeat comedy. Nick Elleray is a classy act" \- Steve Bennett, Chortle "Time and money spent on Nick Elleray is time and money well spent. He's great." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine Presented by Camden Comedy Club. Fishwives

Fishwives

10 Aug 2025 - 11 Aug 2025

Step right up for FISHWIVES-a riotous comedy cabaret that’s smutty, feminist, historical, and dare we say, hysterical. If Chaucer had a potty-mouthed sister with a vendetta against the patriarchy, this is the show she’d have made. Written in verse with the gleeful irreverence of Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes, Fishwives catapults the forgotten heroines of history onto centre stage-louder, looser, and far less ladylike than you remember. Penned and performed by seasoned comedy poet Abi Unwin-Smith (RCSSD), with a decade of live mischief under her belt, this anarchic hour fuses poetry, storytelling and movement with the high-energy chaos of vaudeville. Expect stripping suffragettes, scandalous monarchs and the odd persecuted pudenda-no petticoat will be left unruffled. After a decade on the UK and Australian comedy and poetry circuits, Fishwives now bursts forth as a full-throttle show: a bawdy mash-up of brains, bosoms, and belly laughs. In an age when women’s rights still hang precariously in the balance, this show wields laughter as both weapon and salve. So gird your loins, ladies and gents. These lusty bawds have stories to tell-and it’s about bloody time we listened. Presented by Camden Comedy Club. This is an 18+ event

A Work-in-Progress Stand-Up Show After time away from the mic, comedian Lew Fitz returns with Ennui Me - a brand new hour that’s equal parts heartfelt and hilarious. In this intimate, work-in-progress show, Lew unpacks the strange stillness of isolation, the quiet chaos of chronic illness, and the reality of being stuck with nothing but your thoughts (and one indifferent cat). With wit, warmth, and a sharp eye for the absurd, Ennui Me is a story about slowing down, falling apart, and the awkward, often funny process of piecing life back together. Expect dark laughs, gentle truths, and a perspective only found when everything else stops. One man. One cat. One hilariously existential crisis. Presented by Camden Comedy Club. This is an 18+ event

Multi-award winning Cassidy with an eviscertaing new standup show about the whole world and one man.
