Fuelled by Lambrini, fags, Chicken Tikka Massala and weed they all took to the mic and The GLC’s first album “Don’t Blame the Chain” was born. And so it began, the journey which has so far seen The GLC rise to the top of the charts, perform around the world and at every major festival in the Western Hemisphere and make millions of people laugh along the way. Now many years since that first rap about Eggsy’s tracksuit, the boys are still keeping it real in the rap game and hold the title of the most successful UK rap act ever. To date The GLC have released 18 albums… and amazingly none of them have died yet. You knows it! GLC (Live) plus special guests

If you think that punk music should be like a McDonalds burger, ie:- utterly predictable and the same every time then your view differs from Tenpole's! "The spirit of punk has always been there - it's something to do with rebellion, e.g. Jerry Lee Lewis or Keith Richards, just happens that in 1976 they named this spirit 'Punk'.! " say's Ed. Tenpole was glad to find out what he was at last, for he'd been playing guitar and trying to write great songs in that spirit since he was a boy, long before 1976 came along. "Punk is an attitude not a form of music, ask Steve Jones!! Say's Tenpole. " I date back to the birth of punk rock when it was all about being original, create your own look, and before the time when it became a competition to see which band could sound the most similar to another! I've always rebelled against uniformity. If it is just a simple formula then it is not subversive, and if there is no subversion, ladies & gentlemen, it ain't Punk!!" "At the moment Im trying to see how much excitement can be generated with a man, a guitar, & an audiences. If you have to label what I play, call it Rock'n'Roll. Ever onward my fellow being's! Avoid stagnation: whatever else it is, Punk is surely anti-stagnation!" "By the way, all your view's on what punk represents are as true & valid as mine, however different, we all think our opinion is the right one, but who can judge Come and see me play, listen to my stories ,ask me some questions. Im getting good now, but ultimately, it's down to YOU how good the gig is!!"

Jon Gomm

Jon Gomm

19 Oct 2025 - 19 Oct 2025

Jon Gomm, based in Leeds, West Yorkshire in the UK, is an acoustic singer-songwriter with a revolutionary virtuoso guitar style, where he uses one acoustic guitar to create drum sounds, basslines and twisting melodies all at the same time. The emphasis is still on the soulful vocals and songwriting, and his original material is influenced by everything from Robert Johnson to Radiohead. His live shows combine deeply personal performances and a natural wit, with a once seen, never forgotten two-handed guitar style, both physical and complex, producing sounds people can barely believe are coming from a humble acoustic guitar. Jon first laid his hands on a guitar at the age of two (actually it was a ukulele - his parents couldn't find a guitar small enough). He wrote his first song at the age of six, and was soon accompanying his father, a music critic, to gigs in his hometown of Blackpool. Touring musicians would often stay at the Gomm household on the understanding Jon would get a guitar lesson, meaning he had one-to-one instruction from such blues legends as BB King and Jack Bruce of Cream. Nowadays, Jon tours worldwide. In January 2012 his song Passionflower went viral online, with the video passing 6 million hits, resulting in national TV appearances in the UK, Portugal, Holland, Brazil and Turkey.

David Ford

David Ford

9 Oct 2025 - 6 Nov 2025

These days, David Ford feels much more at home operating on the fringes of the music business, not trying to be famous, not trying to get rich. It might be an unconventional way to conduct a musical career, but this is not a conventional guy, as evidenced by his most recent album, Animal Spirits, a surprisingly accessible, even soulful collection of songs about economics. As an artist Ford still defies classification or comparison. Singer-songwriter doesn’t begin to cover it. He writes and performs with fluency across multiple genres, plays every instrument on the stage and even invents new ones to create truly unique recordings and performances. Every live show is different. Ford’s trademark one-man loop machine circus grows more complex and audacious every year, but then he is just as likely to show up with a six-piece band, a string quartet, jazz drummer or a choir and his most recent UK tour proved he can be equally compelling sat in an armchair, playing acoustic guitar and telling stories. The result is a live spectacle described by The Guardian as “unmissable”. As well as playing sold-out headline shows on both sides of the Atlantic, he has toured with and supported artists such as Elvis Costello, Allen Toussaint, Ray LaMontagne, Aimee Mann, Sara Bareilles, Gomez, Aqualung, Richard Ashcroft, Suzanne Vega, Augustana, Ingrid Michaelson and Jakob Dylan.
Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band

Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band

24 Jun 2025 - 29 Jun 2025

The Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band bridges genres and eras with an intensity and effortlessness few contemporary artists possess. And their new album 'So Delicious' elevates the trio's work to a new level. Produced by Rev. Peyton, 'So Delicious' offers the band's most diverse collection of songs buoyed by the Rev.'s supercharged six-string virtuosity a unique style of fingerpicking inspired by his Delta blues heroes, but taken to new, original heights. The fifth full-length original album by the group which includes Breezy Peyton on washboard and supporting vocals and Ben Bussell on drums and supporting vocals is their debut on Yazoo Records, a label known for the historic reissues of blues and other old time American music that are the bedrock inspiration for the Rev.'s sound and approach. Yazoo was my favourite record label growing up, he explains. For fans of old country blues and all manner of early American music, they are the quintessential label. And for me, it's like being on the same label as Charley Patton and 'Mississippi' John Hurt. To think that Yazoo believes we are authentic enough to stand with the other people in their catalogue means a lot. The Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band has always been strong on authenticity, playing music that blends blues, ragtime, folk, country and other traditional styles with the sleek modern energy of do-it-yourself, homespun, punk fuelled rock. And performing tunes plucked from their lives, their community or from the canonical songbook that fed the Rev. Peyton's formative creative identity. It's a mix that's allowed the band to win fans from all corners of the Americana and rock worlds, and bring a new generation to blues and other forms of American roots music. Some listeners also have a hard time believing all of the Rev.'s extraordinary guitar performances are recorded live with no overdubs until they see the Big Damn Band in concert. Pot Roast & Kisses is a radiant example of his nimble style; weaving two melodies, thumb plucked bass lines and bright decorative filigrees into a graceful, upbeat blend. The rocking electric juggernaut Let's Jump a Train is another. The song's lyrics explore the notion of courageously pursuing adventure a frequent theme in the lives and the songs of the Rev. Peyton's Big Damn Band while the Rev. bangs out a machine-gun rhythm with his thumb, ladles in generously sinuous licks and tosses off seemingly effortless fills and accents, then solos and plays the beat simultaneously. When people hear 'So Delicious' and see us play live, I think they understand that what we're singing about is real to us, the Rev. says. We believe in the stories we're telling and in the way we play. And when we're on stage or off, there's nothing fake about us. We are what we do, and I'm proud of that.

Pit Pony

Pit Pony

18 Oct 2025 - 29 Oct 2025

Fiercely honest, Jackies lyricism portrays an intense duality and a vulnerability that is instantly relatable. Turning inwards to explore notions of motherhood, imposter syndrome and getting older, while simultaneously outwards through commentary on the cost of living, polluted water, the constant sell on social media and the off menu Starbucks coffee obsession. With the band citing the recent influences of Blue Weekend and Skinty Fia alongside the likes of Can and the soundtracks of Ennio Moriconne, mastering engineer Christian Wright (Wolf Alice, Fontaines D.C., Pigs x7) proves the perfect fit with Chris McManus (Blank Studios) heading up recording & production. Sonically, Pit Pony remain loyal to their roots, noting the influence of regional titans Nadine Shah and The Futureheads and with the ENGLISH ACCENT god damn it reminder on PJ Harveys Uh Huh Her in mind, Jackie Purver stays true to her accent. Dead Stars sees Pit Pony deliver an expanded but yet more balanced and personal conception of their craft. Garth Purver explains that the band were aiming for a more rounded and complete record that showcased multiple sides to us but hung together as one piece of work rather than a collection of separate tracks. While Andrew Jones mentions how the band encouraged each other to pull on those strands and incorporate more of our personal taste in the sound.
What Three Words: Otway & Barrett

What Three Words: Otway & Barrett

3 Jul 2025 - 16 Nov 2025

This magnetic bond still holds after more than 50 years of attempted escapes. Still loved for their total in-yer-face originality, the contrast between the deadpan humour of Barrett and mad onstage antics of Otway are hilarious to watch. John's lyrical genius and Willy's outstanding musicianship (he seems to play almost every stringed instrument known to man, plus a few hybrids of his own making!). Willy's interest in making instruments began when he commandeered two guitars made by his dad in 1965. One from an old guitar neck and a scaffold plank which became affectionately known as the Les Dawson, and the other branded the Mk1 Schitstik electric slide of similar pedigree. These instruments were used on many of the early tracks, including Really Free and Racing Cars. Willy's remark this will be the last time that many of you will see us together again was often hastily misinterpreted as the final throw of the dice, but the reason given: it's not us packing up, it's you lot dying off, you know who you are! is often overlooked by eager scribes. And so the rumours abound. Last year, John celebrated his 5,000th gig to a packed house at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire. And if that's not enough, we are now talking about DOCTOR JOHN an Honorary PhD in Music by Oxford Brookes University. Im really thrilled to be awarded this totally unexpected honour, especially as I failed all my A levels as I decided to concentrate on preparing for my burgeoning career as a rock star. To get this from Oxford Brookes 50 years later shows I did the right thing. For any Otway/Barrett virgins out there who dont know what to expect, be prepared for everything from bare-chested theremin playing to wah wah wheelie bin as the duo jump from one hit and 40 near misses to another: An amazing and irreverent performance by two master entertainers

Robin Mcauley

Robin Mcauley

7 Aug 2025 - 16 Aug 2025

Born in Co. Meath Ireland, Rock Vocalist Robin McAuley was always listening to music growing up. Hard to escape as his Mother Elizabeth (Betty) was a great accordian player. Living a stone’s throw from the local pub saw many a late night in the McAuley household as the revellers would come hang after hours to hear Betty bang out some old Irish fav’s on the “melodian” as we called it That said Robin quickly discovered that his go to listening fav’s at the time was not necessarily Irish jigs but the sound of Motown. The FOUR TOPS, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes and the list goes on. So many great Artists, so many great unforgettable songs. Those Lyrics and thos melodies got Robin hooked for life. Then along came Irish Rockers “Thin Lizzy” with Whiskey In The Jar and the rest as they say is History. Incredibly Robin would record and perform Live with both Lizzy Guitarist’s Brian Robinson and Scott Gorham some years later. Jarrod Dickenson

Jarrod Dickenson

15 Feb 2026 - 27 Feb 2026

Texas-born songwriter, Jarrod Dickenson's slightly spooky melodies and lyrics invoke a mid-Western post-war America, when cars ran on leaded gas, television hadn't yet kidnapped the country's imagination, and men wore hats every day. His reflective lyrics, almost like hand-written letters, remind us that human stories of lost love, sudden fortune, and abiding mystery transcend the decades.

Lilly Hiatt

Lilly Hiatt

20 Oct 2025 - 26 Oct 2025

Lilly Hiatt's love of the '90s alt-rock she was raised on shines through on Trinity Lane in the distressed guitars and urgent backbeats. She cites the Pixies, Breeders, Dinosaur Jr., and her favourites, Pearl Jam as influences, but there is also something distinctly Americana lurking in the songs. After moving out of an ex's house, Hiatt settled into a new apartment off of Trinity Lane in her East Nashville neighbourhood and went on tour with friend John Moreland to the West Coast and back. The intensely personal, autobiographical album was written largely upon her return, in isolation, facing the issues she escaped while on the road. Every time she wanted a man, she picked up her guitar. Every time she wanted a drink, she picked up her guitar. Hiatt says, 'Love will take you to the darkest places but also the most honest places if you let it. Learning how to love myself is something I've always been lousy with, and I spent some time on that. I thought about my sobriety, what that means to me, the struggles I'd had throughout the years, since I was a 27-year-old and hung up my toxic drinking habit. I thought about my mother, who took her own life when I was a baby, not far from my age at 30 years old, and I related to her more than ever. As you can see, there was plenty of time spent on my own. I didn't talk to that many folks, albeit a few close friends, and leaned into my family. I stayed away from men, and danced alone in the evenings, looking out my window observing my humble and lively neighbourhood. I found power in being by myself. I found peace in the people I was surrounded with we didn't really know one another, but we smiled when passed on the street. One time I almost rear-ended an older woman in her car backing out of my driveway and I said, Oh man, I'm just not used to any cars coming around this bend. She replied, This is our little hideout, baby, And it really was.' She continues, 'After a while, I had all these songs to play, and wanted to share them. I wanted to get out of town to get some distance from everything, so after an ongoing conversation with Michael Trent, I took my band to Johns Island, SC and we holed up for a few weeks. I poured my heart out, and trusted them with it, and these guys gave it right back. I think we all understood what it's like to question home, intention, demons, love I think most people understand that.' Lilly Hiatt returned with Trinity Lane in August 2017. The 12-song set was produced by Michael Trent of Shovels & Rope and engineered by Andy Dixon at Trent's Studio Bees in Johns Island, SC. In addition to her backing band, Trent is featured as a musician throughout, and is joined by his wife and Shovels & Rope partner Cary Ann Hearst for backing vocals on Everything I Had. 'Lilly is as real and honest of a songwriter as they come,' says Trent. 'Fearless and thoughtful and a total joy to be around.' NPR Music is premiering the full album as a First Listen, stating, 'On Trinity Lane, the third album by this fixture of Nashville's indie scene and first for New West she's devoted to excruciatingly revealing expression, deftly manipulating the tone and perspective of her songwriting from track to track. Her treatment of pain can, remarkably, feel both considered and diaristic.' They continue, 'Her willingness to portray herself in moments of anger or neediness that others might deem unseemly, particularly coming from a woman, and to examine gender divisions in emotional labor at close range, is courageous and affecting.' Paste Magazine previously premiered the video for the album's single The Night David Bowie Died, exclaiming that Trinity Lane is 'going to be one for the books'. Of the song, Hiatt offered, 'The night David Bowie died, I was in disbelief. I wanted to talk to someone, but it was too late to make a phone call. I cried quietly and went to bed. The next day, I picked up my guitar and hit record on Garage Band. I started to sing and those were the first words that came out. I felt like Bowie was giving me a little gift.'

Already championed by Chris Evans – who declared himself “blown away” when he heard Sound of the Sirens for the first time – they’re certain to broaden a burgeoning fan base on the back of For All Our Sins. It’s a fan base built up not just over several sublime EP self-releases – but also through their live shows, which combine a natural facility for connecting with their audiences and unforgettable performances predicated on energy, warmth, humour and, above all, real conviction.

Nick Mulvey

Nick Mulvey

15 Jun 2025 - 6 Sept 2025

His standout debut album, First Mind, in 2015 was the introduction of an artist who shirked the conventional and side-stepped the expected. It was a record of opposing shades, all leftfield rhythms, and harnessing an exquisitely natural guitarist doing extraordinary things, painting unique colours across a very moreish collection of songs. It was quite peerless, and translated to the stage alongside fine collection of talented players that formed his band. Nick's return with the first fruits of his new album sessions has brought with it his own outlook on a world that can't decide which direction it's going, or quite what to do with itself. We're all hastily trying to find our spot within these times, and Nick is no exception, but if clarity is part-resolved by a call to arms, perhaps it's time to make that call. Unconditional, the first new music from Mulvey in over two years, is a multi-layered, groove-based tune that doesn't stray too far from First Mind, but far enough to sound fresh, unique and exciting.

Nick Shoulders

Nick Shoulders

1 Jul 2025 - 11 Jul 2025

Wielding an ethereal croon and masterful whistle crafted from a lifetime chasing lizards through the Ozark hills, Nick Shoulders is a living link to the vocal roots of country music... with an undeniable weird streak. Combining his family's deep ties to regional traditional singing with years of playing to crowded street corners (and empty bars), Nick has created a hybridized form of raucously clever country music; born of forgotten rocky hollers and bred to confront the tensions of the 21st century South. An avid illustrator and painter, Nick combines the manic rural wit of his songwriting with a visual world all of his own, one surreal album cover at a time. With a creative output steeped in the rugged landscape and complicated history of his beloved homeland of Arkansas, Nick crafts his work as a conscious (but loving) rebuke of country music, and its historic allegiances to power and regression.

With summers spent soaking up the atmosphere in Nashville with her dad and a string of leading roles in musical theatre back in the UK, the teenage Adamson’s course was set. She sang backing vocals on Big Country’s last album Driving to Damascus at age 13. By 2010, she was forging her own career as a vocalist and keyboard player for indie-folkers Aberfeldy. She fronted country rockers The Gillyflowers and more recently shone as half of alt-country duo The Marriage, and then on a self-titled solo debut. Origami Angel

Origami Angel

16 Aug 2025 - 22 Aug 2025

Feeling Not Found, the third full-length record from Washington, D.C. duo Origami Angel, is the one—the rare, undeniable piece of work that defines a sound, a moment, a subculture, a band’s position in the continuum of music. Vocalist/guitarist Ryland Heagy and drummer Pat Doherty have been building to this record since they started the band in 2016, growing it quickly into one of the most exciting and volcanic bands in the American punk and emo communities. A 14-track epic recorded with producer Will Yip at his Studio 4 Recording, Feeling Not Found revolves around the deeply modern experience teased in the title: an emotional and spiritual 404 error, a sensation of cellular-level malfunction and data corruption, of being lost in an oblivion of digital information, and the desperate struggle to reconnect to how it feels to be human and whole Presented by CHALK. Holland born, London based Sarah-Jayne Riedel, “SJ”, fronts the just-out-of-the-gate alternative rock project, Dutch Mustard. Last year she released her debut EP An Interpretation of Depersonalisation, which was quickly featured by the BBC, getting airplay on Radio 1’s Future Artists and being selected by none other than rock's enduring sage Iggy Pop on 6 Music. Riedel writes all the songs and demos most the instruments herself in her bedroom before bringing in other musicians. It becomes a collaborative project, driven always by SJ’s vision and creativity at the helm. SJ has spent the year since her debut release writing and experimenting creatively, while also juggling bar work at one of London’s infamous music haunts and engineer work at a prestigious North London studio. Heathen Apostles

Heathen Apostles

15 Jul 2025 - 29 Oct 2025

Born of the voices of past lives and baptized in the dust bowl dirt, the Gothic Americana music of the Heathen Apostles (Mather Louth \[Radio Noir\], Chopper Franklin \[The Cramps, Nick Curran & the Lowlifes\], Thomas Lorioux \[Kings of Nuthin’\] and Luis Mascaro) harkens back to a bygone chapter of American history. Using contrasting influences such as Bauhaus, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and The Pogues along with Howlin’ Wolf, Loretta Lynn (the band covers her classic Fist City) and Bessie Smith, the Heathen Apostles have created a style of music that at once conjures both angels and demons, and will enlighten a darkened soul. Gothic Americana is a genre that is fast taking hold around the world, in that it combines the sub-genres of gothic country & bluegrass, dark blues, murderfolk and depression-era jazz. The Heathen Apostles are amongst the first to inject all four into their incendiary music. This is an 18+ event

Willi Carlisle + Melissa Carper

Willi Carlisle + Melissa Carper

2 Sept 2025 - 6 Sept 2025

For folksinger Willi Carlisle, singing is healing. And by singing together, he believes we can begin to reckon with the inevitability of human suffering and grow in love. On his latest album, Critterland, Carlisle invites audiences to join him: “If we allow ourselves to sing together, there's a release of sadness, maybe even a communal one. And so for me personally, singing, like the literal act of thinking through suffering, is really freeing,” he says. Rooted in the eclectic and collective world of his live shows, Carlisle’s third album, Critterland takes up where his sophomore album, Peculiar, Missouri left off, transforming Peculiar’s big tent into a Critterland menagerie and letting loose the weirdos he gathered together. The album is a wild romp through the backwaters of his mind and America, lingering in the odd corners of human nature to visit obscure oddballs, dark secrets and complicated truths about the beauty and pain of life and love. Produced by the GRAMMY Award-nominated Darrell Scott and released Jan. 26, 2024 by Signature Sounds, Critterland considers where we come from and where we are going. On the album, he takes on human suffering through stories about forbidden love, loss, generational trauma, addiction, and suicide, believing that by processing the traits and trauma we inherit, he can reach a deeper understanding of what it means to succeed and to exist. Jolie Holland

Jolie Holland

9 Sept 2025 - 19 Sept 2025

Jolie Holland is an American singer and performer who combines elements of folk, traditional country, jazz, and blues Over the span of her career, Jolie Holland has knotted together a century of American song-jazz, blues, soul, rock and roll-into some stew that is impossible to categorize with any conventional critical terminology. This is her burden and her gift, to know all of these American songs of the last ten decades in her head and her heart, and to have to wrestle with their legacy. She dives straight to the pathos of a song the way the very greatest singers, singers like Mavis Staples, or Al Green, or Skip James, or Tom Waits do. Upon first encounter her songs seem challenging, perhaps unsettling at times, but as so many poets and rockers have shown us (from Dante Alighieri to William Blake to Sylvia Plath to Patti Smith to Nick Cave to Mark E. Smith) that’s where the beauty lies. As evident on her first recordings, Holland apparently has no fear of the truth, and there is no emotional core that she cannot reach in song. In fact she thrives on the red hot centre of a musical composition, in all its strange and brutal detail.

The Bonnevilles

The Bonnevilles

8 Aug 2025 - 3 Sept 2025

The Bonnevilles are shaking Northern Ireland in a way it hasn't felt since Van Morrison & Them obliterated Club Rado in 1964 and Stiff Little Fingers blew apart The Trident in 1977! The Bonnevilles don't so much play punk blues as use it as a springboard to create a completely new genre. And now they release their fourth studio album Dirty Photographs with LA-based Alive Natural Sound Records. The Lurgan duo take Mississippi Hill Blues and Punk Rock and mix their own unique dark Northern Irish Punk Blues stew, which drew the attention of the aforementioned Alive Natural Sound leading to the release of the award-nominated Arrow Pierce My Heart on the label in 2016. The Bonnevilles formed in 2009 and quickly released their debut and now legendary album Good Suits & Fightin' Boots on Motor Sounds Records. McGibbon, being a blues fan, was moved to create The Bonnevilles after being heavily inspired by RL Burnside's A Ass Pocket Of Whiskey and bands like The Soledad Brothers, The Immortal Lee County Killers and blues heavyweights like Howlin' Wolf and Robert Johnson. McGibbon combines with McMullan's heavy metal drumming style in a band has become Europe's top alternative blues act. Playing the Deep Blues festival in Clarksdale, Mississippi and the legendary Junior's Juke Joint in Holly Springs in 2015 cemented the band's reputation as the real deal. Now the band's new album Dirty Photographs sees them reach fresh creative fields the same dark blues punk stew but with added sugar.

Tackling subjects as wide-ranging as fatherhood, practising golf swings as a metaphor for life, the way the Japanese sunlight bounces off buildings like God's graffiti, and the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, Max ZT and Dan Whitehouse's songs shimmer with restless inventiveness and draw you in with their irresistible intimacy. The duo will perform music from their album 'Ten Steps (recorded between New York City and Tokyo) as well as intriguing improvisations to create an interwoven set of spoken word, song and virtuoso instrumentation. Max ZT is a lauded innovator, described by NPR as the Jimi Hendrix of hammered dulcimer. Although he takes his roots from Irish folk music, he has created complex and beautiful compositions and expanded that influence through studying in Senegal with the Cissoko griot family and to India where he studied under the santoor master Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. Dan Whitehouse has, across seven solo albums, gained a golden reputation as a fine songwriter, a unique vocal talent and a talented multi-instrumentalist/ performer - Maverick, and wonderful BBC 6 Music. Shayfer James

Shayfer James

9 Sept 2025 - 14 Sept 2025

When Shayfer James approaches the piano, there is a certain power and mischievous charm that surrounds him. A bewitching sense of foreboding builds as his fingers touch the piano, and as he begins to sing, we are immersed in his darkly lyrical and evocative stories. His wry poetry is stitched seamlessly to peculiar arrangements that are simultaneously unsettling and familiar. Mr. James lures us into a devious world where the gods tear wings from angels and every man has a siren waiting to devour him. Mr. James'’gift for songwriting is singular. The songs on his first full-length album, The Owl & The Elephant range from beautifully sad to frightening and furious, and his performances are tailored to match. His style is theatrical, but never contrived.

Jah Wobble

Jah Wobble

2 Oct 2025 - 12 Nov 2025

Over the past three decades or so, Jah Wobble has ploughed his own furrow as a prolific solo artist, as well as becoming a well-respected session musician, with genuine passion for Eastern and Global music. He has worked with a diverse range of musicians, including Baaba Maal, Bjork, Primal Scream, Brian Eno, Sinead O'Connor, Julianne Regan, Delores O'Riordan, Holgat Czukay, The Edge and Chaka Demus & Pliers. The man born John Wardle began his musical journey when he met John Lydon and Sid Vicious at Kingsway College, London in 1973. It was Vicious who not only nicknamed John 'Jah Wobble' after a drunken binge but also loaned him his first bass guitar. Lydon asked JW to join Public Image Limited (aka PiL) in spring 1978. Wardle's distinctive 'low end' bass became the backbone of PiL's pioneering sound. After its follow-up, the exploratory yet sinister soundscapes of Metal Box, Wardle became disillusioned by politics within the band and their reluctance to play live. He eventually split from PiL in mid-1980 and embarked on a prolific solo career. Wobble is joined on stage by drummer Marc Layton-Bennett and Martin Chung.
Discharge

Discharge

12 Sept 2025 - 20 Dec 2025

“Can you hear the sound of an enormous door slamming in the depths of hell…?”Not only is this the chilling description given of a nuclear detonation during one of the sound-bite samples on the first Discharge album, but it’s also a perfect description of the Stoke, UK-based punk band that turned the world of underground music on its head with their primal bursts of uncompromising speed and aggression. Formed in the late Seventies Discharge changed the face of punk – and indeed extreme music itself – with their stunning ‘Realities Of War’ EP, a four-song outpouring of pure intensity that boiled punk down to its basic components of rage, frustration and violent rebellion. Discharge stumbled upon a sound that was so ugly, it was beautiful; so horrifying, it was irresistible – and it ushered in a whole new wave of gnarlier, nastier UK punk, and ultimately paved the way for hardcore and thrash.
Mclusky

Mclusky

17 Oct 2025 - 28 Nov 2025

Mclusky (often stylized as mclusky), originally known as Best, were a three-piece post-hardcore group formed in Cardiff, Wales. The group consisted of Englishman Andrew "Falco" Falkous (vocals, guitar) from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Jonathan Chapple (bass, vocals) and Jack Egglestone (drums), who replaced previous drummer Matthew Harding in late 2003. According to the band, they originally formed in 1996 when Falkous and Harding met at the Blackwood Miners Institute, a venue in their home town. The pair met Chapple a short time afterwards at the Reading Festival when they caught him urinating on their tent late in the night. More realistically it has been suggested that Falkous and Harding met when working together at Anglian Windows, a small double-glazing call centre in Cardiff. They discussed their musical ambitions after a conversation about Reading Festival, Falkous gave Harding a tape of songs he had written on his own, and shortly after they formed a band called Best after early Beatles drummer Pete Best. The original bass player for Best was Geraint Bevan, Harding's old musical comrade from The Derelicts. Best existed in this form for almost a year before Bevan left to concentrate on his acting career, but not before Best had played a show with a band called 'Myrtle', which featured the bass guitarist Jon Chapple. Shortly after the departure of Bevan, the remaining two members managed to convince Chapple to join the band; this was based on the strength of the three track demo Best had recently finished at 'Ocean Studios' in Cardiff (this cassette which was sold by the band themselves was the unofficial debut, entitled the Benedict EP). Best signed to London label Seriously Groovy and released their official debut record, the 3-track single "Huwuno". The band changed its name to Mclusky in 1999, releasing their first full-length album My Pain and Sadness is More Sad and Painful Than Yours in 2000 on the Fuzzbox imprint before drawing international attention with their critically praised second album Mclusky Do Dallas in 2002. In 2004 they released their third album The Difference Between Me and You Is That I'm Not on Fire to positive reviews. They worked frequently with recording engineer Steve Albini.
Agriculture
Music

Agriculture

3 Sept 2025 - 13 Sept 2025

For something to be “ecstatic,” the feelings and emotions it evokes must transcend what we tend to experience most regularly in our lives. Ecstatic joy isn’t just happiness; it’s a feeling of jubilation which impacts us emotionally and in a metaphysical, arguably spiritual sense too. Although it has long been associated with connotations of the dark and macabre, extreme music has the ability to be a powerful mode of expression for these feelings of absolute bliss, overwhelming love, and awe-inspiring sublimity. Extreme emotions no less and those which black metal quartet Agriculture evokes with its ecstatic subversion of the subgenre’s tropes. On Agriculture’s self-titled record and first full-length LP, it’s abundantly clear that the band’s use of heavy music to showcase the most resplendent emotions and moments of the human experience has a far deeper meaning. Woven between the flurries of soaring tremolo picking, crescendoing guitar harmonies, celebratory screamed vocals, thoughtful improvisation, and meditative atmospheric passages is the record’s mission statement to experience the wonders and joys of both the esoteric and physical world. These facets are showcased within Agriculture's first single and album opener, "Look Pt. 1," which premieres today as a lyric video. What was initially a meeting and subsequent series of jam sessions between Kern Haug and Daniel Meyer, two musicians in the Los Angeles underground noise scene, would eventually manifest as a shared vision to portray the sublimity of the human experience through the vehicle of heavy music. Following the additions of veteran guitarist Richard Chowenhill and bassist/vocalist Leah Levinson to the band’s lineup, this idea would crystalize into the “ecstatic black metal” backbone of Agriculture’s music, first heard on the band’s 2022 debut EP, The Circle Chant. The concepts and thematic questions previously planted by the band have blossomed into powerful, fully-realized artistic and philosophical statements on Agriculture. To put it in the band’s words, “...where 'The Circle Chant' is like a finger pointing at the moon, the self-titled LP is like a whole body screaming at it with reverence.” Through the extreme splendor of ecstatic black metal and the improvisational, experimental, and cathartic elements it embodies, Agriculture illustrates these otherwise incomprehensible questions with a poignant beauty that makes its music as much of an artistic statement as it is a transcendental experience. Bob Log III

31 Aug 2025 - 13 Sept 2025

When Bob Log III was a child, he lost his left hand in a boating accident. It was soon replaced with a monkey paw, and a new guitar style was born. 'It's my own personal style, see,' Log says, 'the paw moves much quicker than a normal hand, so my real hand has to flop around a lot to compensate.'" Bob Log III, one man band crown prince of punk blues from Tuscon, Arizona. Witnessing Bob Log live is an unmissable and unforgettable experience. By rights he should be a punk blues stadium super star. He takes to the stage with his face masked in a crash helmet with a black visor and a telephone wired in it for a mic and wearing a blue jump suit. Bob then unleashes a torrent of hardcore Mississippi Delta blues, hip hop beats and punk rock. The crash helmet telephone distorts the vocals and his hands, arms, legs and feet become a blur of jump suit clad limbs as he plays slide, triggers drum machines and drums with his feet simultaneously. Bob then adds extra ingredients to this punk blues bouillabaisse with his unique version of audience participation. More often them not he’ll bounce a couple of audience members on his knees while playing, and then bring on the infamous Boob Scotch. The audience are invited to literally stick their boob in his scotch which he then drinks. If Bob feels satisfied, he will then launch into his anthem Boob Scotch! Everyone has to look out when the rubber dinghy makes an appearance.
