The Bros Landreth

The Bros Landreth

11 Apr 2026 - 25 Apr 2026

Before they were The Bros. Landreth, Joey and Dave were only looking for a good excuse to spend a little more time together. They had spent their respective early years backing up other artists and touring the world as hired musicians until one particularly long and challenging tour prompted Joey to call his older brother with a simple proposal. When I get home, let's sit down and make some noise together would be the call that would be the turning point seeing them focus on their own roots rock sound that went on to be celebrated on their acclaimed debut album, Let It Lie. Originally released in their hometown of Winnipeg in 2013, Let It Lie was re-released in 2015 after signing a record deal with Nashville-based Slate Creek Records. The album received widespread acclaim, won multiple awards including a JUNO, and propelled the band to play over 400 tour dates around the world. A Rolling Stone review praised the band's quiet storm of slide guitar solos, blue notes, three part harmonies. Lifelong musical hero, Bonnie Raitt, was equally impressed after catching the band's set, saying "I haven't liked a band as much as The Bros. Landreth in a long time. To hear this kind of funky, southern style rock played with such originality and soul will knock you out." Then, the band went on a hiatus. A break afforded Joey Landreth the opportunity release and extensively tour his debut solo album Whiskey in 2017, furthering his reputation for being a first-rate guitar slinger, songwriter, and performer in his own right. Joey's booming solo career might have delayed the timeline for the brothers, yet they never stopped writing songs that would eventually be recorded for their long awaited, follow-up release. The time off that we took between touring Let It Lie and coming back together to make this next album was really difficult. Dave says. It was tough, but we needed to do it. Being away from each other gave us some really valuable perspective. It let us realize just how important and deeply satisfying it is for us to make music together and that's something that we wont soon forget. Teaming up in studio with drummer Ryan Voth, guitarist Ariel Posen, and longtime producer Murray Pulver, the soon to be released album is an exciting evolution of the band's sound, honed by thousands of hours on stage and filtered through the lens of the last many years on the road. Weve got hundreds and hundreds of shows and thousands and thousands of miles under our belts. This next record has a confidence that we didnt have - couldnt have with the first. The Bros. Landreth's journey took some unexpected turns, but ultimately reaffirmed two brother's earnest desire to make honest music together. Slated for release fall of 2019, the follow up album is called 87, a nod to the real beginning of the band; the year they became brothers.

The band staked out their trademark sound on 2002's Introducing the Hillbilly Moon Explosion, they fully hit their creative stride on 2011's Buy Beg or Steal, and they collaborated with psychobilly veteran Mark "Sparky" Phillips for 2019's The Sparky Sessions. HighSchool

HighSchool

10 Apr 2026 - 17 Apr 2026

Melbourne’s HighSchool appeared last summer with the self-released single ‘Frosting’, an indie-pop gem that promised great things. Fast forward a year and with more stellar tracks to their name, they’re finally releasing their debut EP, Forever at Last, on November 1st. Shortly after forming, HighSchool - the trio of Lilli Trobbiani, Luke Scott and Rory Trobbiani - found themselves in near-eternal lockdown with the COVID restrictions being placed on their hometown proving the longest anywhere in the world. Deprived of the chance to go out and play shows, they carried on undeterred, recording tracks with close friend Archie Shannon (Floodlights), dropping them every few months along with a stunning, self-directed music video for each. Signing to UK tastemaker label Dalliance Recordings (Gia Margaret, Francis of Delirium, Wilsen) and already championed by the likes of NME, The FADER, Clash, DIY, PAPER and So Young, HighSchool have come far in their first year. Keeping momentum up, a move to London is planned in the new year with the band making their live debut shortly after. Debut EP, Forever at Last, collects their six tracks to date and is a testament to the band’s ingenuity and resilience. It also shows a band keen to evolve their sound, effortlessly mining a multitude of influences - where first singles ‘Frosting’ and ‘New York, Paris and London’ delighted with their potent mix of sun-dappled indie pop and industrial post-punk, their next two ‘De Facto’ and ‘Sirens’ were pointed at the dancefloor with the band now infusing DFA / New Order / Future Islands sounds. Recent single ‘Jerry’, is darker than its predecessors which played on the band’s gothic image, being more than complemented by an incredible one-take music video that explored religiosity. As well as the EP, November 1st also heralds the release of title track ‘Forever at Last’, another great single where this time Lilli’s synth rises to the fore and Rory’s cod-English “hello” lyrical motif signals the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next. A track that explores transformation in both place and identity, its documentary-like video follows Lilli and Luke being dressed and made up by two goth friends before the quartet head into the night.

Willi Carlisle + Melissa Carper

Willi Carlisle + Melissa Carper

24 Apr 2026 - 30 Apr 2026

For folksinger Willi Carlisle, singing is healing. And by singing together, he believes we can begin to reckon with the inevitability of human suffering and grow in love. On his latest album, Critterland, Carlisle invites audiences to join him: “If we allow ourselves to sing together, there's a release of sadness, maybe even a communal one. And so for me personally, singing, like the literal act of thinking through suffering, is really freeing,” he says. Rooted in the eclectic and collective world of his live shows, Carlisle’s third album, Critterland takes up where his sophomore album, Peculiar, Missouri left off, transforming Peculiar’s big tent into a Critterland menagerie and letting loose the weirdos he gathered together. The album is a wild romp through the backwaters of his mind and America, lingering in the odd corners of human nature to visit obscure oddballs, dark secrets and complicated truths about the beauty and pain of life and love. Produced by the GRAMMY Award-nominated Darrell Scott and released Jan. 26, 2024 by Signature Sounds, Critterland considers where we come from and where we are going. On the album, he takes on human suffering through stories about forbidden love, loss, generational trauma, addiction, and suicide, believing that by processing the traits and trauma we inherit, he can reach a deeper understanding of what it means to succeed and to exist. Presented by Love Thy Neighbour. This is an 18+ event

Smote

Smote

9 May 2026 - 13 May 2026

Baba Yaga's Hut Presents: Smote SMOTE, once a solo endeavor by Daniel Foggin, now expanded to a fuller ensemble blends traditional instrumentation - creaking strings, funeral drums, somber winds - with thunderous synth work and desolate guitar to craft drone and dirge. The new album “A Grand Stream” (Rocket Recordings 2024) is a full-scale psychic voyage into the ether and a drone-and-repetition-fuelled series of incantations that takes simple, primal ingredients and utilises them for the purposes of aural sorcery, summoning spectres and revelations aplenty in its wake. Smote’s austerity is one that refreshingly escapes the usual trappings of avant-garde music, simply by the force of its elemental vitality and its grounding of negative aural space. Its overpowering wall of sound still holds enough natural grace that it escapes the oppressive abusiveness of, say, Swans, and yet it is relentless in its forward thrust. “A Grand Stream” takes the band - one who’ve always eschewed the cliches and stumbling blocks of all contemporary psych rock in favour of their own unique and wyrd vision - into a realm in which they transcend through willpower and skill alike into something preternaturally thrilling and intimidating, mapping out their own crepuscular new territory in the paranormal. Belle Chen’s album Ravel In The Forest, released on the Platoon label, leads the listener through ancient woodland, quiet clearings and tropical canopies. We’re accompanied by birds, a chameleon, a dragonfly – the wonder of the natural world is imbued into this imaginary space. Receiving a standing ovation at her EFG London Jazz Festival debut in 2024, Belle is praised as an artist that is ‘Original and provocative… feels like the sense of discovery’ (Brian Eno). The Australian Music Prize-nominated artist’s latest album charted at #7 on UK Official Chart (Specialist Classical) and #15 on Australia’s ARIA Chart (Classical). In her live shows, Belle takes a quirky, yet tender approach to musical storytelling. With the unmistakable influences of Maurice Ravel, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Joe Hisaishi’s melodic sweetness shining through, Belle blends sonic synth explorations, classical virtuosity, and free flowing improvisations that feel equally at home on jazz or experimental stages. The Billy Walton Band

The Billy Walton Band

30 Mar 2026 - 17 Oct 2026

For decades musicians have come and gone, always hoping to make a living and pursue a dream. Billy Walton is no different. Billy’s proving ground was Long Beach Island. There he was chaperoned from gig to gig by his Mom, too young to drive around and enter the clubs on his own. He always was up for a jam and looking to learn some tricks. For years Billy spent his time sharpening his skills, developing his stage act until he decided to step up to centre stage with the Billy Walton Band! The band has focused its efforts in Europe. 13 tours since 2007 have established the group in the fertile British Blues Rock scene. In 2010 Billy got the call to join in with one of the masters of the Asbury Park sound, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes. For years Billy toured with the Jukes. Most people don’t know that the creative force behind Southside was none other than Little Steven. A highpoint in Billy’s tenure with the Jukes was when they recorded a live version of Southside’s most acclaimed release, Hearts of Stone, with Little Steven! Good things have been happening to the Billy Walton Band. The band recently signed to Vizztone Records for the release of Wish For What You Want. Produced by Tony Braunagel, the award-winning BMA producer and current Eric Burdon drummer, this batch of songs will certainly take the band to the next level! You can say Bruce Springsteen is a singer songwriter fronting an old-school rock n soul band. Southside Johnny is a soul singer fronting an old-school rock n soul band. Billy Walton is the guitar hero fronting the old-school rock n soul band. The horns are the common thread. Find out why so many people are getting excited about the Billy Walton Band!

Weatherday

Weatherday

20 May 2026 - 30 May 2026

Hornet Disaster, Weatherday’s follow-up to their 2019 debut Come in, and spiritual successor to 2022’s collab release Weatherglow, is their most expansive work to date. In Weatherday’s initial bout of inspired writing and recording, they produced over 70 songs for the record, but not before they had a complete, overarching narrative that was coherently tied back to Sputnik’s previous work. Like its predecessor Come in, Weatherday’s Hornet Disaster lurches instantly into a caustic title track. The overture is signature Weatherday - urgent, noisy, erratic, and playful - but also hints at shifts in songwriting and production. Lead single “Angel,” backed with “Heartbeats,” demonstrates this evolution in a snappy, springy emo anthem, while its counterpart calls on longtime influence The Knife in a slinky, downtempo curio that pushes the Weatherday sonic universe in an unexpected direction. The movement, color, and form of hornets are meticulously threaded throughout the album’s nineteen song tracklist, with hectic melody and unpredictable turns giving way to various forays: a tribute to Swedish winter in Weatherday’s first official song in Swedish (“Pulka”); the use of renaissance flute (“Green Tea Seaweed Sea”); and the folktronica experimentalism of third single “Ripped Apart By Hands.”

Patrick Sweany (born April 26, 1974) is an American musician and singer-songwriter known for his blues-rock style, blending influences from acoustic blues, soul, R&B, and rock. Born and raised in Massillon, Ohioa small town about 20 miles south of Akronhe began playing guitar at age 12, inspired by his father's collection of bluesy folk rock records, and turned professional in the late 1990s. Over more than 25 years, Sweany has built a reputation for raw, groove-driven performances, starting as an acoustic bluesman before expanding into electric, funky blues-rock with spacy and organic elements. Sweany's early career featured residencies at regional blues festivals and clubs near Kent State University, where he honed his finger-style guitar technique influenced by artists like Blind Lemon Jefferson and Muddy Waters. He released his debut album, I Wanna Tell You, in 1999 on Ayao Records and signed with Nine Mile Records in 2006, marking a shift toward fuller band arrangements.[2] In 2009, he relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, which broadened his collaborations and sound; notable among these is his work with Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys, who produced Sweany's 2006 album C'mon C'mere and 2008's Every Hour Is a Dollar Gone. Sweany has maintained a steady output of recordings and tours, emphasizing live, old-school production methods without headphones or overdubs to capture authentic energy. Key albums include That Old Southern Drag (2011), Ancient Noise (2018), and his ninth full-length release, Baby, It's Late (2025), a raw blues-rock collection recorded over two days that reflects themes of aging, pain, and catharsis after a seven-year gap. He continues to tour extensively, including headlining events like the 2025 Rock for Relief festival in Western North Carolina, and performs with backing groups such as the Tiger Beats.

Formed in 1978 with a core line-up of Jez Kerr, Martin Moscrop and Donald Johnson, A Certain Ratio emerged from the hallowed grounds of the late 70s punk scene, and from that day on they’ve moved forwards with gleeful disregard for the boundaries of style and genre, their eye fixed firmly on constant progression. It’s an ethos that’s open-minded over all else, and that’s seen the band take everything from experimental electronica to vintage funk, and filter it through their own Mancunian lens.

An Evening with Alexander Hacke (Einstürzende Neubaten)
An evening with musician Alexander Hacke, best known as the bassist in Einstürzende Neubauten, the most influential German underground/industrial band since the early Eighties. Celebrating the launch of his autobiography Blast - Distorted Memories, expect stories and anecdotes about his many adventures, mishaps and creative outings with international colleagues such as Mike Patten and Billy Gould of Faith No More, Nick Cave, Unsane, Al Jourgensen of Ministry, Lydia Lunch, Foetus and more. Alexander Hacke became obsessed with classical music at an early age, but ended up dropping out of school and hanging out with punks, squatters, and bohemians in the West Berlin underground scene. After his first music projects under the pseudonym Alexander von Borsig, he joined the newly formed Einstürzende Neubauten in 1980. While the Neubauten became a groundbreaking and hugely successful band, Hacke not only experimented with all kinds of stimulants, but also continued to develop musically: whether as an internationally successful solo artist, collaborating with Crime & the City Solution, as a film composer, or together with his wife, the artist Danielle de Picciotto, with whom he has been roaming the world since 2010. Blast is a dazzling testimony to the wild West Berlin before the fall of the Wall, the rise of Einstürzende Neubauten, and the thrilling life story of a jack-of-all-trades. Hacke recounts international tours and surprising collaborations, as well as his cinematic soundscapes, and offers personal reflections on art and society. He looks back on an artistic career that uniquely combines avant-garde art, pop success, and creative freedom. Alexander Hacke was born in Berlin-Neukölln in 1965. He played in several influential underground bands, including Mekanik Destrüktiw Kommando, Sprung aus den Wolken, and Sentimentale Jugend with his ex-girlfriend Christiane F. He joined Einstürzende Neubauten in 1980, at the age of 14. As a producer and composer, he has created music for theatre productions, documentaries and feature films. Since 2001, he has collaborated with his wife, Danielle de Picciotto, on musical compositions. Copies of Blast will be available to buy on the evening.

Laurence Jones

Laurence Jones

23 Apr 2026 - 22 Apr 2027

Although Laurence doesn’t need too much of an introduction in the music business, for those that haven’t had the chance to see him yet, it’s well worth sharing a thing or two about this artist! He sings, he plays and he writes -- a triple craft -- and he does so like a veteran twice his age, but absolutely no ego and with both feet firmly on the ground! Hailed as 'one to watch' as a teenager by the blues media, concert/festival bookers, blues fans and various guitar stars alike, young Laurence really has come of age. The blues cub has become a man with a plan, turning heads and making jaws drop with his take-no-prisoners, incendiary live set and stunning records. Laurence and his crack band -- Jones on vocals and guitars, Roger Inniss on bass and Phil Wilson on drums -- put the power into power trio, with their modern day blues rock with an edge.
Jesus Jones

Jesus Jones

24 Jul 2026 - 10 Dec 2026

A British alternative rock outfit from Bradford-on-Avon in Wiltshire, Jesus Jones' kinetic mix of samples, pop, dance, and techno resulted in one huge international hit single, "Right Here, Right Now." Known for their strong melodies and hooks, and for meshing club overtones with traditional rock guitar, the group, alongside contemporaries like EMF, the Shamen, and Pop Will Eat Itself, helped shape the '90s alternative rock scene by showing that sample-driven dance music could comfortably fit into pop music. While their popularity faded in the early 2000s, they continued to perform and record, albeit sporadically, with their sixth studio long-player, Passages, arriving in 2018 after a lengthy hiatus.

Davy Knowles

Davy Knowles

7 Jun 2026 - 17 Jun 2026

The journey began for Davy Knowles growing up in the Isle of Man, learning to play guitar from listening to the likes of Gallagher, Clapton, Knopfler, Green and Mayall in his father's record collection, and honing his skills playing the local music circuit. Knowles's professional career started with a bang arriving in America age 19 with his band Back Door Slam, an acclaimed debut album, and rave reviews at SXSW 2007. (I heard the spirit of Jimi Hendrix -- Patrick MacDonald, Seattle Times). From that dynamic introduction, Knowles proceeded to make a significant impact across US media from memorable TV performances on Jimmy Kimmel and Good Morning America, to a three year run at radio with the singles 'Come Home' from the debut album Roll Away and 'Tear Down the Walls' and 'Coming Up For Air' from the Peter Frampton produced sophomore album both albums Top 3 Billboard Blues Chart. Davy already has a recognizable style. He's definitely the gunslinger guitarist of the 21st century,'' Peter Frampton A relentless 4 year tour regime followed for Knowles in support of his albums, taking in legendary festivals Lollapalooza, Memphis In May, Bonnaroo, and Austin City Limits and headlining shows at The Troubadour, Red Rocks, World Cafe and The Iridium. He also toured with Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, The Who, Warren Haynes, George Thorogood, Peter Frampton, Joe Bonamassa, Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Rhythm Devils, and the Satriani/Hagar inspired supergroup Chickenfoot. It's an incredible, inspiring education to play with musicians and artists of that caliber DK. Other highlights from this period include playing live to Astronauts on the ISS from mission control in Houston one of only a handful of artists to be invited to do so three tours of the UK and Europe and numerous international festivals including Jakarta, Tokyo, and Perth, Australia. In 2011 Knowles's song Reach Higher was the official anthem for the Youth Commonwealth Games, and in 2012 his 'birthday' tribute to Woody Guthrie a stunning electric version of Pastures of Plenty was released in aid of WhyHunger? In 2014 as Ambassador for the Isle of Man's Year of Culture he played the International Celtic Festival in Lorient, France, and that same year began filming the documentary Island Bound tracking the migration of Celtic and European folk music with the early settlers to the British Colonies. With input from a host oflocal Manx and international artists, including Richard Thompson and Martin Simpson, Davy demonstrates how this music was preserved and passed down through generations, evolving into Bluegrass, Folk, Country and Americana and ultimately influencing the blues and rock music of today. From the very start Knowles earned the respect of fans, media and musicians alike, including some of his own musical heroes such as the aforementioned Peter Frampton, Joe Satrianni, and Warren Haynes. British Blues Legend, Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake, Moody Marsden Band) is another fan - Davy Knowles continues to amaze me he's still so young and yet he plays, writes and sings with such maturity. He's immersed himself in the styles of many great players and has emerged with his own brand, playing with a smile on his face. He's a rare bird, one I will continue to watch and study. Throughout this musical journey, Knowles has kept 'the blues' close to his heart; I love the guitar as an instrument, it's so versatile and endlessly challenging, but whilst I will try play any style to meet that challenge, blues is the music I first fell in love with, and I have always connected deeply with it. I enjoy playing the historian, and am fascinated by all facets of the genre, from the earliest field recordings, to the more recent guitar gods that electrified and supercharged this music. It's from all along this timeline that I like to draw influence from.

“Can you hear the sound of an enormous door slamming in the depths of hell…?”Not only is this the chilling description given of a nuclear detonation during one of the sound-bite samples on the first Discharge album, but it’s also a perfect description of the Stoke, UK-based punk band that turned the world of underground music on its head with their primal bursts of uncompromising speed and aggression. Formed in the late Seventies Discharge changed the face of punk – and indeed extreme music itself – with their stunning ‘Realities Of War’ EP, a four-song outpouring of pure intensity that boiled punk down to its basic components of rage, frustration and violent rebellion. Discharge stumbled upon a sound that was so ugly, it was beautiful; so horrifying, it was irresistible – and it ushered in a whole new wave of gnarlier, nastier UK punk, and ultimately paved the way for hardcore and thrash.
