Andy Fowler: Chicken Man

Andy Fowler: Chicken Man

6 Nov 2026 - 6 Nov 2026

Following last year’s completely unhinged, critically tolerated hour of existential dread, Andy Fowler returns with another brand-new sermon on identity, resentment, jazz and panic. This year, he’s targeting the "creeping madness" of the affluent middle class-specifically the organic, soil-health-obsessed, sourdough-baking psychopaths of West Bridgford. He’s spent the last 12 months closely watching his neighbours (including an emasculated former bassoonist and a regional manager whose children are named after artisanal cheeses). From chemical warfare against garden weeds to the tactical advantages of a sit-down wee, this is a show about surrendering to the chaos. Pull up a stool, lower your expectations, and embrace the rhythm. It’s not a tight-five, it’s comedy jazz.
Andy Bucks: Acid Nerd/Alan Sugar Can Do One
An hour of stand-up silliness from award-winning goofball. Andy brings his ‘acid nerd’ style of comedy to Nottingham, telling the story of how he applied to the hit entrepreneur factory farm The Apprentice. Courtesy of low-quality footage captured on his phone, you can now bear witness to Andy’s dreams getting mercilessly crushed by some wackass Sugar Minions with no joie de vivre. Along the way, Andy will cover a variety of other stupid topics including laughing cow cheese, forceful removal of pubic hair, and hymns. Strictly no BBC lawyers allowed. “Reminiscent of James Acaster, he nevertheless quickly escapes comparison through a voice that is entirely his own.” - Varsity “Too evocative of James Acaster.” - Chortle Best Clean Joke at Leicester Comedy Festival 2026. BCG Pro Performance Award Winner 2025. As heard on BBC Radio 4.

Low Effort Sketches: We Have a Problem (Wip)
Multi award-winning sketch duo Low Effort Sketches presents a new show which, confusingly, is not entirely a sketch show and might even feature some effort! In this show, Alice Wickersham and Andy Bucks play the role of two astronauts preparing for a highly dangerous space mission. With the launch imminent, Andy starts feeling the pressure and goes AWOL. Alice is left to go through the final checks while dealing with a variety of unhelpful buffoons who risk scuppering the mission, including a traffic warden intent on clamping the rocket, the (very forgetful) official space chaplain, and Andy’s Mum. Will the crew ever make it to space ‘Hilarious’ (Chortle), fourth-wall breaking sketch comedy with ‘a fantastic sense of surreal mischief’ (Spectator). ‘A masterclass in sketch comedy’ ★★★★.5 (The Tab). ‘Beautifully crafted.’ ★★★★.5 (The Reviews Hub).

Now, when companies, billionaires and tech bros command followings that would make cult leaders weep with envy, what isn't a cult these days In 'The Church of Saulentology', Saul reaches his enlightened conclusion: true happiness means inventing your own ridiculous doctrine. And he's here to show you how- featuring a deeply unsettling Childcatcher-Colonel Sanders-Noseybonk-like figure who serenades unsuspecting chickens into the fold. Stevie Parker: Big Bloke With Big Jokes
My Birthday Production, in conjunction with Darth Vader Felt My, Presents Stevie Parker - Big Bloke with Big Jokes Expect something old, something new, something borrowed, nothing (ish) blue. AND NOT ONLY THAT a WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT of 1001 Jokes (in Order) in 55 minutes will be Attempted at Each Show. This is a Work in Progress and not a Contractual Binding Legal Commitment that it will be achieved on the night. This event has never been reviewed by anyone (except for the Mrs who said it was Rubbish!!!), so you could be the first and who knows also witness the premiere of the successful World Record Attempt. I’ve been telling stories and ‘Dad’ Jokes ever since I can remember. In fact, ever since Dad jokes were just Toddler jokes. Now, however, my jokes are 'Full Groan' and my stories are too. I will reference my childhood and memory constantly throughout the Show. Coincidentally, my first ever memory was being dragged to the optician by my dad, everything before that was a blur!! I started out for real after going down proper with the ‘Comedy bug’ a couple of years ago. I did open Mics wherever I could and often did slots at Music sessions just to gain experience and time on stage. These can be the most difficult ones of all when a blank face looks up at you from the front row thinking... ’this isn’t music”!! I often refer this experience to like running with weights on but helped immensely in my development. Since then, I have 2 Open Mic (Comedy Only) Nights in Leeds that have been going for well over a year. I thought it was time to thrust myself without fear into other parts of the Country. And what a Place to be at.
