Devoted to recreating the atmosphere of a live Joy Division gig, Transmission emulate the sound of one of the most inventive, evocative and influential groups of their era. Joy Division were formed in the late 1970s and dissolved in 1980 after the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis. The remaining members went on to form New Order and have achieved much critical and commercial success. The influence of Joy Division, however, was far reaching. They were considered the pioneering band of the post-punk movement of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Forty three years on you can relive the dark, cavernous sound of Joy Division through Transmission - the UK's number one Joy Division tribute act.

Fronted by Buster Bloodvessel (born Douglas Trendle), the band was formed in 1976 while the members were at school together, and among their early incarnations were known as Stoop Solo and the Sheet Starchers. None of the members had any formal musical training, not even the ability to play any instruments. They were popular during the late 1970s and early 1980s, a period when lots of similar ska bands filled the charts. Some of their hits include 'My Girl Lollipop', 'Lip Up Fatty', 'Special Brew' and 'Ne-Ne-Na-Na-Na-Na-Nu-Nu'. One of the main reasons for their notoriety was because of their outlandish, larger-than-life, huge-tongued & shaven-headed front man. Buster´s exploits got them banned from the British TV chart show Top of the Pops (which included dressing as Henry VIII and singing to a blow-up doll for the song 'Lorraine', pouring a large can of baked beans over his head, and dressing in a can-can dancer´s dress to promote their single 'Can-Can').

Martin Turner and his band return to the concert stages during 2023 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Wishbone Ash’s seminal double live album “Live Dates” (1973). Wishbone Ash was formed by West Country musicians Martin Turner and Steve Upton, who arrived in London in 1969 to embark on their musical journey. Intent on creating a musical sound that was rich in texture and melody, Martin Turner envisaged the band’s innovative harmony-guitar hallmark and guitarists Ted Turner and Andy Powell were recruited via a now legendary Melody Maker advert. Mik Artistik’s Ego Trip is an edgy, funny, poetic unit who play rock and roll stand-up. For more than 50 years Martin Carthy has been one of folk music’s greatest innovators, one of its best loved, most enthusiastic and, at times, most quietly controversial of figures. His skill, stage presence and natural charm have won him many admirers, not only from within the folk scene, but also far beyond it. Trailblazing musical partnerships with, amongst others, Steeleye Span, Dave Swarbrick and his award-winning wife (Norma Waterson) and daughter Eliza Carthy have resulted in more than 40 albums, but Martin has only recorded 10 solo albums, of which the much anticipated Waiting for Angels (Topic TSCD527) was the latest. Whether in the folk clubs (which he continues to champion), on the concert stage or making TV appearances (he was the subject of the acclaimed `Originals’ music documentary strand on BBC 2) – there are few roles that Martin Carthy hasn’t played. He’s a ballad singer, a ground-breaking acoustic and electric-guitarist and an authoritative interpreter of newly composed material. He always prefers to follow an insatiable musical curiosity rather than cash in on his unrivalled position. Perhaps, most significant of all, are his settings of traditional songs with guitar, which have influenced a generation of artists, including Bob Dylan and Paul Simon, on both sides of the Atlantic.

Over the past three decades or so, Jah Wobble has ploughed his own furrow as a prolific solo artist, as well as becoming a well-respected session musician, with genuine passion for Eastern and Global music. He has worked with a diverse range of musicians, including Baaba Maal, Bjork, Primal Scream, Brian Eno, Sinead O'Connor, Julianne Regan, Delores O'Riordan, Holgat Czukay, The Edge and Chaka Demus & Pliers. The man born John Wardle began his musical journey when he met John Lydon and Sid Vicious at Kingsway College, London in 1973. It was Vicious who not only nicknamed John 'Jah Wobble' after a drunken binge but also loaned him his first bass guitar. Lydon asked JW to join Public Image Limited (aka PiL) in spring 1978. Wardle's distinctive 'low end' bass became the backbone of PiL's pioneering sound. After its follow-up, the exploratory yet sinister soundscapes of Metal Box, Wardle became disillusioned by politics within the band and their reluctance to play live. He eventually split from PiL in mid-1980 and embarked on a prolific solo career. Wobble is joined on stage by drummer Marc Layton-Bennett and Martin Chung.

Introducing Sparko's Going Back Home Yes, the Legend who is John B Sparkes, bass player and founding member of Dr Feelgood, is coming out to play! Sparko is taking a trip down memory lane and his new band Going Back Home will be playing Rhythm&Blues straight out of Canvey Island. Bass guitar - SparkoLegend - A founding member of Dr Feelgood, played bass on all of the classic recordings. What more is there to say other than theres nowhere else on the planet to see an original member of Dr Feelgood doing it right. Drums and backing vocals Mat Hector. Mat has become widely known for his hard-hitting groove and stylistic adaptability. Mat has worked with : Iggy Pop, Razorlight, Thomas Dolby, Thom Yorke, Marc Almond, KT Tunstall, Glen Matlock, Sharon Corr, Mike Garson, Henry Rollins, Gutterdammerung, and Grace Jones. For 5 years Mat was part of Iggy Pop's touring band and prior to that toured and recorded with Thomas Dolby for a number of years. His stylistic adaptability was showcased in his work with the immersive and visceral live rock/film show. Following his work with Gutterdamerung Mat took on drumming duties with English indie rock superstars Razorlight, completing a number of UK tours. Guitar and vocals John Simpson John has been a gigging musician since 1975. In 2013 he formed The Feelgood Band an adventure which for him came to an end in 2022. During that period he appeared on stage with Wilko Johnson, Sparko, Big Figure, Lew Lewis and Dennis Greaves (Nine Below Zero).

Overlooking the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip, Laurel Canyon hosted a community of musicians through the 1960’s and 70’s forming a hive of creativity in the age of hippies and flower-power. AmongLaurel Canyon’s residents were the likes of Neil Young, James Taylor, The Byrds, The Mamas & The Papas, Frank Zappa, Eagles, Carole King and Joni Mitchell. Performed live by a six-piece band with vocals, in the first half, you will hear music from the artists listed above as well as many other Laurel Canyon residents during this time. In the second half, the musicians of the Lewes Music Group will perform the greatest hits by The Doors. Featuring the band's wide musical influences of Pop, Jazz, R&B, Rock, Blues and Classical, The Doors are viewed as an essential must-hear psychedelic band that have influenced so many artists since their inception - well worth seeing performed live!

The Croupiers are a 10-piece Northern Soul Revue band from Brighton, England. They specialize in classic and rare soul, funk, and disco from the 1960s and 70s. The band is known for their energetic live performances and tight musicianship, featuring a full horn section and multiple vocalists.

Joan Shelley has long factored place into her recordings. For her self-titled album (2017) she landed in Chicago, at The Loft with Jeff Tweedy producing. In 2019 she went to Iceland, bringing along collaborators Nathan Salsburg and James Elkington to make Like The River Loves The Sea. The pandemic kept her close to home in Kentucky for The Spur (2022), but as a new batch of songs began to take shape in late 2024-and as Shelley and her family began settling into their new home in Michigan-she began searching for a place where she could record in the company of talented friends. Joan, with husband Nathan Salsburg and their 4-year-old, traveled to snowy Toronto, ON in the winter of 2025 to make a record with Ben Whiteley, friend and bassist for The Weather Station. Ben tapped his rich community musicians for the session, including drummer Philippe Melanson, saxophonist Karen Ng, singer/songwriters Doug Paisley and Tamara Lindeman, Matt Kelley, and Ken Whiteley. Joan’s partner, guitarist Nathan Salsburg, also appears. Toronto artist Heather Goodchild designed and painted the cover and inner sleeve. Real Warmth is the follow-up to Shelley’s acclaimed 2022 album The Spur, a record praised by The New York Times, Pitchfork and The Guardian. It was deemed the #2 album of that year by Uncut Magazine and prompted MOJO to ask:" “Is Joan Shelley America’s most consistently exceptional songwriter? Right now, that does not seem like too much praise".” Shelley has toured and performed with the likes of Richard Thompson, Wilco, Patty Griffin, Michael Hurley and Bonnie “Prince” Billy. She has been featured on the covers of Fretboard Journal and Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and has appeared as a guest on WTF with Marc Maron, Fresh Air with Terry Gross, and Later... with Jools Holland. John Harold Arnold Bramwell, to give him his full name, is perhaps best-known for his time as the songwriter and frontman of Manchester three-piece, I Am Kloot. However, he also possesses an enviable back catalogue as a solo artist and continues to work on new material under the guise of his latest band, John Bramwell & The Full Harmonic Convergence. Bramwell’s first studio output appeared in 1989, when he was performing and recording as Johnny Dangerously and entitled You Me & The Alarm Clock, an album The Guardian referred to as one of the ‘greatest albums you’ve never heard.’ Following a stint as a television presenter and as a member of the band, The Mouth, Bramwell formed I Am Kloot, with two members of The Mouth. They went on to record six studio albums, including the Mercury-Prize nominated album, Sky At Night. Since 2016, Bramwell has reverted to being a solo artist and tours continuously, around the UK and Europe. A home-recorded solo album, Leave Alone the Empty Spaces appeared in 2018 and the follow-up, a more expansive affair, with a working title of The Light Fantastic, is now scheduled for release in 2022.
