An idiosyncratic, challenging and richly lyrical singer/ songwriter, Junior Brother is the pseudonym of Co. Kerry, Ireland singer Ronan Kealy. Chosen as The Irish Times’ Best Irish Act of 2019 and nominated for the 2019 Choice Music Prize for Album of the Year, Junior Brother has built a rabid following thanks to unmissable live shows, and music both excitingly forward-looking and anciently evocative. His strange stories unfold with reckless abandon upon a distinctive guitar and foot tambourine accompaniment, influenced as much by the avant-garde as music from the Middle Ages and his home place in rural Ireland.

Like a textile artist, Flora Hibberd weaves layers of meaning into her music. Born in London, she has called Paris home since the age of eighteen. As likely to veer into guitar or synth-driven pop as to take up a 17th century traditional, the songs pulse with surreal allusions and mundane emotions, a tapestry of everyday life shot through with cosmic signs. Hibberd sees her songwriting as a walk in a strangely familiar neighbourhood, revealing and reveling in the oblique and the mystic.

Essy Sparrow is a multi-disciplinary artist and songwriter creating gossip-filled, nostalgic indie folk from her coastal studio in Cornwall. Her 2024 debut EP “Still Upset About It Actually” produced by Jemima Coulter (Hailaker) sparked TikTok virality, with her track “Artists Dreamers” reaching over 2m views. In 2025 she played Boardmasters with BBC Introducing, supported Tors and Semler, joined Lily Lyons in opening for The Staves and sold out her 200-cap London headline at St Mary with All Souls. This year sees a near sold-out UK tour, a slot at Great Escape, and the rollout of her sophomore EP “Gossip from a Coastal Town” rooted in her whimsical, coastal life in Cornwall. Produced by CJ Pandit, the new project is a gossip-filled indie folk time capsule, weaving in sounds from a live local sea shanty band, a pirate ghost tour guide playing the accordion and live ocean sounds from Cornwall into her whimsical, fun and slightly bittersweet storytelling. Formed in 2019 as a 'jam band', Welsh six-piece Church Village Collective (or CVC for short) took their title from their hometown of the same name, a large village 10 miles out of Cardiff. At the time of writing they have just two singles released, but have already wooed early gig goers with their cheeky furore and big band energy, their set at 2022's The Great Escape was by all accounts, a packed affair. ​CVC 'specialise in fat riffs, lush three part harmonies, and tight beats, all tied together with outfits you could expect to see at the launch party for Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.' On debut EP Real to Reel, unity bleeds through songs that are awash with authenticity, fronted by a slick 'band of brothers' on a devout mission to have a good time and take us all along for the ride.
