Calendar Girls The Musical

Calendar Girls The Musical

25 Nov 2025 - 29 Nov 2025

Calendar Girls: The Musical is based on the true story of a group of women from a Yorkshire village who decided to do something different — and ended up doing something extraordinary. When Annie loses her husband to leukaemia, her best friend Chris wants to honour his memory and raise money for a new settee on the ward where he was treated. In yet another dull Women's Institute (WI) meeting, she's struck by a brilliant and slightly outrageous idea that leads to them convincing the women of the WI to pose for a tasteful, creative and 'nude, not naked' calendar. What starts as a humble act quickly becomes a national sensation and a journey of laughter, tears and self-discovery that none of them expected. With stunning music by Gary Barlow and heartfelt script by Tim Firth, this moving story doesn't pretend these women are fearless. Instead, Calendar Girls: The Musical celebrates what happens when you show up for the people you love in the toughest of times with strength, friendship, and a bit of Yorkshire girt. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the real-life calendar hitting the headlines and when this group of amazing women rallied together and began raising vital funds for charity. BMOS are pleased to invite you to come and be part of their continuing story. 'He said you'll never do it, you're just all talk. But, you see, you don't say that...do you, to a bunch of feisty Yorkshire ladies!' (Angela Knowles, real-life Calendar Girl)
