The Vaselines were formed in Edinburgh in 1987 by singers/guitarists Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee, soon signing to Pastels frontman Stephen Pastel's newly formed 53rd 3rd label. Nirvana's Kurt Cobain regularly cited the Vaselines influence in interviews with the music press and Nirvana would go on to cover the Vaselines' Molly's Lips and Son of a Gun (both later compiled on their Incesticide collection) as well as perform Jesus Doesn't Want Me for a Sunbeam on their legendary MTV Unplugged appearance. Cobain's gospel-spreading no doubt accelerated their rise to cult sainthood, but the Vaselines would have gotten there sooner or later on their own accord. Lewd but nave and abrasive yet tender, the band's shambling, primitivist squall remains a perfect distillation of pop at its most guileless and euphoric.Eugene Kelly later went on to front Captain America / Eugenius, while McKee spent the better part of the decade out of sight, resurfaced in Suckle, and released a solo album in 2006. The Vaselines reunited proper in 2010 to record their second full album Sex With An X which was released on the Seattle label Sub Pop.This was followed by V for Vaselines in 2014. The Ramones inspired album featured many of the same players who helped make 'Sex.....', including Belle and Sebastian's Stevie Jackson, the 1990's Michael McGaughrin and Teenage Fanclub's Francis Macdonald.

The band, formed in 1993, had an impressive run of hit singles throughout the late 90's/early 00's, including ’Bluetonic’, ‘Slight Return’, ‘Marblehead Johnson’, ‘Solomon Bites The Worm’, ‘If’ and ‘Keep the Fires Burning’. They scored thirteen Top 40 singles and three Top 10 albums in the UK charts before splitting up in 2011. Described in John Robb's definitive book on 'post punk' (Death To Trad Rock) as 'The misfits' misfits' and comprising an ever fluctuating line-up, based around lyricist/singer Robert Lloyd, the Nightingales enjoyed cult status in the early 80s as darlings of the credible music scene and were championed by John Peel, who said of them: 'Their performances will serve to confirm their excellence when we are far enough distanced from the 1980s to look at the period rationally and other, infinitely better known, bands stand revealed as charlatans.' The group recorded a bunch of critically acclaimed singles (almost always 'Single Of The Week' in the music press) and three albums, plus many radio sessions for their great supporter Peel. They also regularly toured the UK and Northern Europe, as headliners and supporting acts as diverse as Bo Diddley and Nico. Since re-grouping in 2000 they have played Glasto, SXSW etc and headlined Stewart Lee’s Austerity Binge on London’s Southbank.

Finding inspiration through the allurements and atrocities of the world, these garish juxtapositions are what drive Freak Slug to creation. Strangers’ conversations are retranslated into a new fashion: art that others can feel. The intuitive artist, producer & writer Xenya Genovese expresses her queer loving ventures through a satirical, heavy-hearted, yet buoyant style.

Crystal Tides are an Indie Rock band based on the South-Coast of England, who take influence from classic noughties guitar riffs and modern feel-good pop melodies. EVER is a dynamic three-piece indie rock band from Cleethorpes, UK, influenced by grunge and pop-punk, and known for their live performances.

Metalcore/screamo outfit Stick to Your Guns formed in 2003 under the leadership of vocalist Jesse Barnett in Orange County, California. Drawing comparisons to such names as Comeback Kid and Protest the Hero, the band was soon noticed by Sumerian Records honcho Ash Avildsen, who put the already buzzworthy band on a live showcase. The band signed a deal with the label soon after. The band's first album, For What It's Worth, was released in 2007, a year that Stick to Your Guns would spend on the road, consolidating their skills and building on their early successes. The band eventually moved over to indie metal label Century Media, which released the follow-up full-length Comes from the Heart in the spring of 2008. Lineup changes and a move to Sumerian Records preceded the band's third studio long-player, 2010's acclaimed Hope Division, and in 2012 they released the fiery Diamond, which featured the Occupy Wall Street movement-supporting single "Bringing You Down (A New World Overthrow)." Arriving in 2015, the John Feldmann-produced Disobedient would be their last outing for Sumerian, as 2016 saw the group join up with Pure Noise for the EP Better Ash Than Dust. The next year they released their sixth LP, True View.

After being the lead singer for Transvision Vamp, Wendy James decided to pursue a solo career. She wrote a letter to Elvis Costello about her situation and was surprised when Costello wrote an entire album for her. When the band formed in the early 1970s, little did they know they would set the standard for hard rock bands that trailed. Ray Bull is an indie pop duo composed of Aaron Graham and Tucker Elkins, based out of Brooklyn, New York. They initially met as art students at The Cooper Union in Lower Manhattan. Their musical journey began after their time in art school, where they found themselves more drawn to music. They have been releasing music since 2021, blending elements of indie, folk, rock, and pop.

The Irish-Italian outfit partly met at school and others later joined after meeting through the city's live music scene. With indie-pop qualities that blend alternative rock and soul sounds, Big Sleep cite artists like Big Thief, JJ Cale, Jamiroquai and The Cure as influences. It's been a busy year for the quartet. In the last 12 months since their Debut EP release, they've toured with Somebody's Child, received international radio play (BBC R1, Radio X, RTÉ 2FM) with features on major Spotify editorials (Hot New Bands, All New Rock) and toured internationally across Europe.

Born and raised in North London, Hohnen Ford grew up immersed in London's vibrant Jazz scene, becoming fixated on instrumental jazz music of the 20th Century and later studying Jazz at the Royal Academy of Music.

Lynn gained respect early in her career with her 2011 LP release, 'Have You Met Lera Lynn?' The collection included her song Bobby, Baby, which won Merlefest's 2011 Chris Austin Songwriting Competition (an honor she shared with Gillian Welch and Tift Merritt) and best alternative country song at the Independent Music Awards. Following the album's release, she walked away with best country artist honors at Athens 'Flagpole Music Awards. Lera Lynn followed up the debut album with a hair-raising cover of June Carter Cash's classic Ring of Fire, recently heard on the hit TV show Pretty Little Liars, backed with the original Don't Make Me Wait.
