The Duke of York's Theatre
Opened in 1892 as the Trafalgar Square Theatre, architect Walter Emden's creation took on its present day moniker three years later, in a burst of patriotic loyalty to the future King George V. In 1904 it hosted the premiere of JM Barrie's Peter Pan.
The theatre is the London headquarters of its owner, the Ambassador Theatre Group. Its Grade II listed design accommodates 640 seats. The nearest Tube stations are Piccadilly Circus (Piccadilly/Bakerloo), Leicester Square (Piccadilly/Northern) and Charing Cross (Bakerloo/Northern), which also transfers to surface rail.
