Steve Harley - Come Up And See Me... And Other Stories
A prodigious kid who grew up on the poetry of Eliot and Lawrence, the prose of Steinbeck, Woolf, and Hemingway, and the music of Bob Dylan, Steve Harley soon realised his life would be preoccupied with words and music. He met The Rolling Stones as a kid, and the die was cast. After working as a newspaper reporter, he switched to rock ’n’ roll, enjoying huge success with Cockney Rebel and such hits as Sebastian and the iconic Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me). Acting off-Broadway and in London, he recorded the title track of The Phantom Of The Opera with Sarah Brightman, while also finding time to write for Rod Stewart, among others, before playing Glastonbury Festival three times, the Isle of Wight festival and receiving numerous awards. And now, it’s time to reflect. Come Up And See Me… And Other Stories, will feature music and stories, as Steve tells stories about his career, while playing acoustic versions of the biggest hits. Steve will be accompanied by long-standing band member Barry Wickens. Steve Harley – Come Up And See Me…And Other Stories Steve has a new book due in 2024, to reflect on a remarkable career that dates back to 1972. From the highs of Cockney Rebel and the enduring hit, Come Up And See Me (Make Me Smile), Steve has seldom left the road. Touring regularly, and successfully, his appeal is undimmed, whether playing the Royal Albert Hall, or provincial theatres clubs. For his new tour, he'll be playing hits, and telling stories about his career, while being joined by his violinist. Meet and Greet available and seats will be the best available.

Fred Zeppelin - An Evening of Classic Led Zeppelin
Fred Zeppelin have now been playing 31 years, an achievement that we're all proud of. During their time together the band are honoured that Led Zeppelins front-man, Robert Plant, has attended three of their gigs and John Bonhams son, Jason, even jammed with them on stage. It must surely also be the best recommendation any band could receive and assure Led Zeppelin fans apprehensive about seeing The Fredz. It's worth taking a camera with you, as you dont know who could be standing next to you. In the audience have been MAGNUMs front-man Bob Catley, WHITESNAKEs guitarist Mel Galley, Roy Wood, legendary main man of THE MOVE & WIZZARD, and SLADES Jimmy Lea. The band were also invited by Led Zeppelins Jimmy Page to attend a charity event of which Jimmy is a patron. They were thrilled to meet and chat with the legendary guitarist. Also at the party were Roger Daltrey, Julian Lloyd Webber, Leo Sayer and Formula Ones David Coultard. What a night !! According to one of Kerrangs reader's polls, FRED ZEPPELIN were among the top ten best live bands to see. Quite an achievement, as at the time they were the only tribute band listed in any category. Fred Zeppelin are real fans and formed The Fredz out of their admiration and love of Led Zeppelins music. As their name suggests the band don't take themselves too seriously, they know the praise belongs to Robert, Jimmy, John Paul Jones, and Bonzo. And, the Fredz will still continue with their tradition of honouring the music of Led Zeppelin and not dressing up to imitate them. Please keep in mind they are not a cabaret style look-a-like act.

Salt House

Salt House

4 Oct 2025 - 4 Oct 2025

Salt House have been a mainstay on the folk scene for over a decade. The bands reputation as thoughtful and innovative interpreters of both old ballads and contemporary songs has been solidified with acclaimed album releases and extensive touring. Described as a "gentle, lulling delight" by The Guardian, Salt House blend heartfelt vocal and instrumental interplay, offering listeners a moment of reflection and connection. New songs that sound like theyve always been here, ancient ballads woken up. Poems given melodies theyve long deserved. Salt House's sound is influenced by the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, Northumberland and Shetland, the respective homes of band members Ewan MacPherson (vocals, electric and acoustic guitars), Anna Hughes (vocals, fiddle, viola, tenor guitar) and Jenny Sturgeon (vocals, keys, guitar). They incorporate their natural surroundings into the fabric of the music that speaks of a shared love of place, people, and evolving tradition. More about the band members: Jenny Sturgeon, who has a PhD in seabird ecology, is known for her introspective solo work and collaborations with Birdvox and Outliers. Through her creative output as a sound artist and songwriter she explores themes of landscape and human connections. Her solo project The Living Mountain based on the writing of Nan Shepherd was released to wide critical acclaim. Anna Hughes, a versatile multi-instrumentalist and composer, draws on her transitory life experiences to create music that reflects forgotten landscapes and the wonders of the natural world. Working across multi-disciplinary projects Anna is a sought after collaborator as well as working with duo project Watersmeet. Ewan MacPherson, is a multi-instrumentalist and singer with over two decades of experience working at the forefront of the folk / trad music scene. He toured extensively with Shooglenifty for thirteen years, was a member of Malinky and Nu-Nordic Quartet Fribo. His session work includes working with a variety of artists from the British Isles and beyond. His most recent solo project album Hushman was described by KLOF Magazine as a little masterpiece of confidence and understatement. Wonderful. 20 Oct 2025 - 20 Oct 2025

From a bolshy child with a Welsh-speaking budgie to National Treasure, Janet Street-Porter's life (and language) has always been colourful.
