All Spells bring another night to the tavern. Opening the night will be new band Sometimes Always, sometimes evil, sometimes noisy. Kansas City Playboys are veracibly a post-punk Americana band active in 21st century London. The features of their lives, passions and motivations remain obscure Perfect Binding is the recording project of London-based songwriter and composer Sam Bedford. Based around nylon-string guitar, voice, cello and fragments of tape music, Bedford creates songs that feel gently detached and intimate and yet still rich in atmosphere. His debut EP presents a collection of slow-burning, subtly arranged recordings (Counterparts, Damning, Interlude, Virginia Creeper) interspersed with between-the-eyes alt-rock pop songs (Tincture, Still Boils Fast)that make for an arresting listening experience. Closing the night will be Lou Terry, described by Loud & Quiet Magazine as “Humorous, politically-tinged and at times raucous...with the help of a full band, he creates a richly textured backdrop to his earnest and expressive vocals”. An artist that once won the heart of John Cooper Clarke (who stumbled upon him performing in a pub and was so entranced he missed his train home) Terry has also played shows with Black Country New Road, Piglet as well as supporting Porridge Radio on a run of dates. Jackson Roy

29 Jul 2026 - 29 Jul 2026

But there’s consistency too, with the soaring falsetto of his voice exploring seesaw emotions and existential angst which both amplify his flair for the theatrical. Spike is the synth-pop project of Hannah McLoughlin. Spike’s self-titled debut album builds on a tradition of idiosyncratic British synth-pop, bringing to mind the cold-yet-intimate work of Rose McDowell, Chris & Cosey and Fad Gadget. Spike embraces McLoughlin’s talent for songcraft, merging undeniable hooks with a deep knowledge of leftfield synth music. Throughout these ten tracks, she moves between melancholic dream pop, wiry synth-punk, hauntological textures and hypnagogic city-pop (a re-working of Warren Zevon’s 'Werewolves of London’). John Mouse

John Mouse

3 Dec 2026 - 10 Dec 2026

John Mouse (real name John Davies) is a Welsh musician and songwriter celebrated for his inventive blend of indie-pop, alternative rock, and more recently, electronic music. Known for his witty, self-aware lyricism and emotive storytelling, he has become a distinctive voice in the Welsh and UK indie music scenes. Hailing from Cardiff, Wales, John MOuse first gained recognition with albums like The Death of John MOuse and Replica Figures, which showcased his knack for combining infectious melodies with a sharp, often humorous lyrical perspective. Over time, his music has evolved, embracing electronic elements while retaining the raw emotional depth and storytelling that define his work. Recent releases have seen John MOuse exploring darker, more experimental electronic sounds, expanding his sonic palette with synthesizers, drum machines, and atmospheric production. Albums like The Goat have marked this transition, blending introspective themes with danceable beats and layered textures. This shift has drawn comparisons to artists like LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip while maintaining his uniquely Welsh sensibility. Presented by JOY. This is an 18+ event
