Tyla's Dogs D'amour

Tyla's Dogs D'amour

18 Sept 2025 - 16 Nov 2025

Tyla J. Pallas is an English musician, artist and poet. He first made a name for himself in the late 80’s with rock n’ roll band The Dogs D’Amour. He has since released a prolific succession of albums and toured the world over as a solo artist. As well as being an accomplished songwriter, Tyla is equally well known for his distinct painting style that has adorned his album covers from the beginning As out of control as rock n’ roll was in the late 80’s, few artists could top the levels of debauchery and excess achieved by England’s own Dogs D’Amour. Led by singer, guitarist, songwriter and poet Tyla J. Pallas, the group’s albums became cult favourites in their homeland and beyond. Originally formed by Tyla in London in 1983, he has been joined by various line-ups over the years. The Dogs are regarded as one of the best underground rock bands of their time with their bluesy, heartfelt, sing-along anthems and ramshackle style. Since then, frontman Tyla J. Pallas has continued to record many albums and tour, keeping the Dogs legacy alive. As well as being an accomplished songwriter, he is a published author and equally well known for his distinct artwork. Still alive and kicking. Still incendiary. Still stirring up conflict with his art, music, live performances and writing. A 21st century poet. A modern day troubadour. A travelling man whose home is where his he(art) is.

Big | Brave

Big | Brave

3 Nov 2025 - 3 Nov 2025

As they started, so Big Brave continue to evolve - with experimentation at their core. Their recorded material traverses ambient, folk, doom and many other avenues in between. They embrace the space provided by a minimalist approach as much as they welcome the macerating power of all-enveloping distortion and volume. Their live shows are often a raw experience; the weight of the emotions channeled into their work sit just below the surface. Within the space of a year Big Brave released both the weighty and emotive A Chaos of Flowers, and OST - an experimental soundtrack to a film that didn’t exist - and within just these two releases showcased the scope of their range. And yet - more than ten years into their work together - they still feel like a band that is only just beginning to explore the parameters of their creativity. With each passing year, with each new release, with every live show, Big Brave continues to evolve, to grow and to deliver their distinctive sound. Big Brave will make their Glossop debut on Monday, 3 November at The Globe. No strangers to the Dark Peak, Big Brave are more commonly found hiking in the hills than playing shows when they’re in the vicinity. However, this November, they’ll make a stop to bring their crushing sonic explorations to Glossop for the first time. Presented by Grey Lantern and Slowpoke, the show will be part of a three week UK and European tour. Presented by Grey Lantern + Slowpoke. This is an 18+ event.
