Hadestown: Teen Edition

Hadestown: Teen Edition

25 Jun 2026 - 27 Jun 2026

Hadestown: Teen Edition is a vibrant, modern retelling of the ancient Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone, a story of love, hope, and the power of song in the face of despair. In a post-industrial world ruled by Hades, the workers toil underground in Hadestown, while life above grows colder and hungrier. When young dreamer Orpheus meets Eurydice, their love sparks with promise, but poverty and fear drive Eurydice to make a fateful deal with Hades. Determined to save her, Orpheus journeys to the underworld, armed only with his music and unshakable faith. Guided by the ever-watchful Hermes, the Fates, and the chorus of workers, Hadestown explores the cycles of love, sacrifice, and resilience, asking whether art and hope can change the world, even when the odds seem impossible. Featuring Anas Mitchells award-winning folk-jazz score, Hadestown: Teen Edition sends a powerful message for todays generation about love, courage, and the world we live in.
