The three sisters can't recall when or why they started playing, the music’s always just been there. In their late teens, the sisters joined forces with their dad, who for decades was a one man band playing old blues and country tunes for a living. This foundation of classic "roots music and Americana" settled in their hearts, but also awoke the urge of breaking the rules of traditional music. Baskery is a band built on what three people can do together and it's all about turning the music on its head, blending the straightforwardness of punk with the subtlety of singer/ songwriting. The first album, "Fall Among Thieves" (2008) was recorded in Stockholm, co-produced by Lasse Mårtén (Pink, 'Peter, Bjorn and John', Kelly Clarkson, Lykke Li, Primal Scream ). "New Friends" (2011) the follow up, the band referred to it as the "gypsy album" since it was mainly tracked on the road in various hotel rooms and band apartments, then mixed in Berlin by Blackpete (Depeche Mode, Joe Jackson, Peter Fox). As a contrast to the first two albums which took several months to make, the third one "Little Wild Life" (2013) was recorded during ten days in an old dance studio converted to a studio in former east Berlin, co-produced by Matt Wignall (Cold War Kids, J. Roddy Walston, Wargirl). All three albums received great acclaim by the press and are released in numerous countries. The releases in combination with relentless touring have given the band a reputation as one of the music scene's most noticeable live acts.

Eleanor McEvoy has been exposed to music from a very early age with a musical upbringing playing the piano, violin and performing on stage with her older siblings. Eleanor graduated in music from Trinity in Dublin and set out to pay her way through life as a musician writing her own songs while waiting for the opportunity to branch out on her own. Eleanor spent four years in Ireland’s National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), she recorded studio sessions as a singer, fiddle and keyboard player and joined Irish diva Mary Black’s touring band. Embarking on full time song-writing she’s co-written with Rodney Crowell, Lloyd Cole, Henry (The Christians) Priestman, Johnny Rivers and Dave Rotheray of the Beautiful South.

Hed seen her many times on TV, but once she started singing, he was just blown away by the amazing tone of her unmistakeable voice. Little did he suspect that, from that day on, his musical career was to change for ever. The late Steve Brown (the man who discovered Elton John) told him, There's something special happening when you play acoustically with Kiki.. you should team up. Possessed of a great eye for talent, Steve became their mentor. Carmelo admits: That was the day he got us to turn left. And now, 25 years on from that epiphany, the synergy between the two has blossomed, firmly establishing them as one of the UKs great musical pairings. 2018 saw a year of musical consolidation for the popular duo Bob Harris wanted them as opening act for the re-booted Whistle Test, and indeed this turned out to be a seminal moment, leading to long overdue recognition and critical acclaim. Nashville-based Southern Rock Revivalists Parker Barrow roar back to the UK with their Hold The Mash Tour Parker Barrow is a high energy, blues-infused southern rock n roll band led by husband-and-wife duo Megan Kane (lead vocals) and Dylan Turner (drums). A chance encounter brought Kane and Turner together in 2019, when Turner was searching for a new singer for his band. Jon Gomm, based in Leeds, West Yorkshire in the UK, is an acoustic singer-songwriter with a revolutionary virtuoso guitar style, where he uses one acoustic guitar to create drum sounds, basslines and twisting melodies all at the same time. The emphasis is still on the soulful vocals and songwriting, and his original material is influenced by everything from Robert Johnson to Radiohead. British singer-songwriter Tom Mcrae, along with his regular touring musicians ‘The Standing Band’, has been quietly moving up the ranks of the most respected songwriters in the world today after releasing 7 critically acclaimed studio albums over the last 15 years and writing for a variety of artists and singers. Mcrae’s eponymous debut album in 2000 was nominated for a The Mercury Prize, a Q Magazine Award, and a Brit, and the subsequent two years of touring cemented his reputation as one the most entertaining and powerful artists touring today. John Hackett has been a much-loved and admired figure in the progressive rock scene since the mid-70’s; best-known for his flute work with his brother, former Genesis guitarist, Steve Hackett on albums such as Voyage of The Acolyte, Sketches of Satie and Please Don’t Touch alongside his own solo albums Checking Out Of London, Another Life and The Piper Plays His Tune.

Christopher March joined the group as full-time guitarist in 2017, bringing with him a wealth of talent and touring experience from years spent plying the Northwest country, rockabilly and honky-tonk circuits and drummer Buddy Weeks joined in 2023 touring across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, EU. Originally from New York, Richard Shindell now divides his time between Buenos Aires, Argentina and New York’s Hudson Valley. He is a writer whose songs paint pictures, tell stories, juxtapose ideas and images, inhabit characters, vividly evoking entire worlds along the way and expanding our sense of just what it is a song may be. Starting his career in New York City, he has now released a number of much lauded albums including Reunion Hill and Somewhere Near Paterson. In 1998, Shindell joined forces with his friends Dar Williams and Lucy Kaplansky to record an album of covers under the guise of Cry Cry Cry which further enhanced his reputation. His songs have attracted many fans including Joan Baez who has covered his song, Reunion Hill, as well as touring with Show of Hands who are great admirers of his talents. He’s been a rare visitor to the UK of late – catch him while you can.

The Guilty Men: - Paul Burgess (10cc, Jethro Tull, The Icicle Works, Camel etc) - Neil Cossar (The Cheaters) - Craig Fletcher (John Lees Barclay James Harvest, Ten Years After) - Clive Gregson (Any Trouble, Gregson & Collister, Richard Thompson, Nanci Griffith) - Jez Smith(John Lees Barclay James Harvest) In 2021, Clive Gregson (Any Trouble) and Neil Cossar (The Cheaters) sat down to write some songs together. Several weeks and quite a few songs later, they decided to expand the enterprise from a songwriting workshop to a full blown band. Clive recruited keyboardist Jez Smith and bassist Craig Fletcher from John Lees Barclay James Harvest and the line-up was completed with the addition of legendary drummer, Paul Burgess, who has played with 10cc since 1973. They named the band The Guilty Men and headed into the recording studio.

By the time we arrived home some time later, most of our work for the next couple of months was gone. Since then most of our work for the rest of 2020 has gone.

Huddled round a single microphone, singing intimate duets with just mountain dulcimer, dobro and guitar Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage are a folk duo that look & sound classically timeless, yet feel refreshingly unique. A chance meeting at their local Black Fen Folk Club in Cambridge uncovered Hannah and Ben’s shared musical passions and sympathies, that over time has developed into a unique and intimate show of American roots and English folk music. Fleetingly, they may evoke a memory of Gram & Emmylou, Shirley & Davey, or Gillian & David but their warm distilling of influences from both sides of the Atlantic produces a refined sound that is decidedly their own. As a singer and lead guitarist in rock band Gomez, Ben Ottewell is well known for his unmistakable voice and talent for blistering and inspired guitar solos. Ottewell released his first solo album Shapes & Shadows (ATO) in 2011, featuring such beautiful acoustic tunes as 'Blackbird', 'Shapes and Shadows' and 'Take This Beach', which appeared on FX’s Sons of Anarchy. Since then, Ottewell has been pleasing audiences with a series of successful solo tours across the UK, US and Australia.

Hannah James (Lady Maisery, Maddy Prior, Sam Sweeney, Seasick Steve and Songs of Separation) is a singer, accordionist and dancer who has made her unique path across the varied landscape of English and European folk music. She been singing, dancing and playing traditional English music for years, she has always embraced the wider cultural influences that inform many of those old songs. Toby Kuhn (Wild Strings Trio, Bipolar Bows and Old Salt) comes from an altogether different background: a French cellist with classical training who has developed a completely unique style indebted to guitar, violin and double bass.

An Dannsa Dub (The Dub Dance in Gaelic) is the brainchild of dub vocalist & producer Tom Spirals and Scottish traditional musician Euan McLaughlin formed in 2020. The project fuses the mystical energy and instruments of traditional Scottish music and Gaelic song with the heavy, meditative, driving basslines digital dub music. Music is one big conversation. And few projects live at the heart of it like An Dannsa Dub. Born from a love of traditional Scottish folk, dub reggae and dance music, together they summon the joyous, communal energy of a cèilidh and a sound system session. Their name comes from the Gaelic for "The Dub Dance". Their sound celebrates the ancient Gaelic and West African rhythms that influenced reggae, which in turn, via sound system culture and dub's pioneering remixes, produced modern dance music. Their live shows and recordings are a seamless, pulsating fusion of all this and more.

The Poozies first burst onto the folk scene in 1991, when folk music wore elaborately patterned woolly jumpers and was only seen in dingy back rooms and very late at night on BBC2 - yet from the word go they were breaking out and happily exploring the musical universe.The folk scene was then, as now, very male-dominated and so it was a conscious decision back then to be an all-female band. The name came from a den of iniquity frequented by Robert Burns, called Poozie Nancys, and there is some debate amongst the four founder members as to whether the now-obvious meaning of Poozie was realised back then but the feeling now is that its pretty rock and roll!!As with all bands that have been on the road for so long there have been various line-up changes, and although its probably fair to say a male may feel its slightly strange to be in a band with this name, there has also always been a natural choice of who will join the band and these people have also just so happened to be female. Throughout the years The Poozies have toured worldwide and attracted recognition and appreciation for their eclectic choice of material, unusual and exciting arrangements, and heart-tugging vocal harmonies.

The blues cub has become a man with a plan, turning heads and making jaws drop with his take-no-prisoners, incendiary live set and stunning records. Laurence and his crack band -- Jones on vocals and guitars, Roger Inniss on bass and Phil Wilson on drums -- put the power into power trio, with their modern day blues rock with an edge.
