As that tale progressed, so did Crescenzo’s art, his experimental compositions blurring the line between different genres to create a sound that was – and still is – unique to the band.

Much-loved Altered Images, fronted by singer Clare Grogan, had four UK Top 20 hits between 1981 and 1983, including the singles “Happy Birthday” and “I Could Be Happy”, as well as three Top 30 albums. At the same time as finding fame with Altered Images, Clare Grogan also appeared in the 1981 film Gregory's Girl. She has also acted in Red Dwarf, EastEnders, Father Ted, and Skins. In recent years she has also become a presenter on UK television as well as a children's novelist.

Melanie Baker is a singer, songwriter and musician hailing from the Lake District and now based in Newcastle-upon-tyne. Her direct and honest lyricism captures themes such as queer identity, self-reflection and the anxieties of modern life. Her self-released music has so far received radio support from BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing and Radio X, as well as supporting the likes of dodie, Tessa Violet, Maisie Peters, Will Varley, Jen Cloher, Jesca Hoop and runnner. Baker's latest EP Burnout Baby is set to be released in April 2024 on Du Blonde's indie record label Daemon TV, followed by her second headline UK tour in April with her newly formed band. She wrote the songs on this EP about the process of struggling with intense burnout: the texts from friends waiting endlessly for a reply, the days lost to endless scrolling, the dying plants that just remind you that you're not succeeding at taking care of anything. Amid real, raw pathos, there's also a sense of lightness to Baker's newly rocky full-band arrangements. These are songs that may never have existed had Baker not found a way to make music that excited her again, and that gives them tangible spark.

AGMP presents Penetration Penetration are a punk rock band from County Durham, England formed in 1976. Their debut single, "Don't Dictate", is now acknowledged as a classic punk rock single and their debut album, "Moving Targets" (1978), is still widely admired. The band took their name from an Iggy & the Stooges song and played their first gig in October 1976. Their second gig was supporting The Stranglers at Newcastle City Hall. Significantly, the band also played at the now-legendary punk club The Roxy during its first 100 days. On the 9th of April 1977, the band appeared on the same bill as Generation X. Early in their career, the band also supported The Vibrators and toured with the Buzzcocks and they boast the original Buzzcocks drummer, John Maher in the current line-up. Their long awaited 3rd album "Resolution" was released in 2015 and has received a great response from critics and fans. Penetration are Pauline Murray, Robert Blamire, Steve Wallace, Paul Harvey & John Maher.
