Will Wilde Band

Will Wilde Band

10 Jul 2025 - 10 Jul 2025

I have known Will for many years and he has grown to become one of the finest harmonica players he also has a great voice and an awesome band, see below. Will Wilde Teams Up with Blues Legend Walter Trout for a New Single "The Blues Is Still Alive," the title track from his upcoming album set for release on February 28, 2025, via VizzTone Records. Speaking about the album, Wilde says, "I think 'Blues Is Still Alive' is my finest work to date. When I set out to write these songs, I wanted to create an album of straight-up blues material but with the same intensity, you'd find on a Walter Trout or Gary Moore blues album. I think we've achieved that. To have Walter as a guest on the record was a dream come true. With everything that's going on in the world right now, the blues is just as relevant as it's ever been." This electrifying collaboration showcases the timeless spirit of the blues while highlighting the exceptional talent of both artists. The Blues Is Still Alive is a powerful blues anthem that honours the genre's rich heritage while infusing it with a fresh, contemporary sound. Wilde's virtuoso harmonica skills blend seamlessly with Trout's soulful guitar work, creating a track that resonates with seasoned blues enthusiasts and new listeners alike. Will Wilde, known for his dynamic stage presence and masterful technique, has garnered international acclaim as one of the world's top harmonica players. Trout says, "It was my great honor to be part of this music with the incredible Will Wilde. He's the best! I look forward to hopefully more musical collaboration with this amazing young musician!" Walter Trout, a stalwart of the blues scene, brings decades of experience and artistry to this project. With a career spanning over 50 years, Trout's distinctive style has made him a beloved figure in the blues community. This song is a celebration of the blues and its enduring legacy, says Wilde. Working with Walter has been an amazing experience. This is not the first time the pair have collaborated; Wilde previously played harmonica on Trout's album Broken, which led to an invitation to join him as a special guest on his UK tour. Join Will Wilde and Walter Trout as they remind us that the blues is not just a genre, but a living, breathing force that continues to inspire and connect us all.

Emotive, authentic progressive blues with a heartfelt stage presence to match. A Juke Box of easy listening they are not yet somehow, they make you feel right at home. Think Blade Runner meets Alice in Wonderland. The Mojos deal with dark matter, love, life, change and chance with a dash or daring and cheek, a band who as of yet, has not been pigeonholed into any genre. With two albums produced and one in the making, the Mojos have had a share of performing at the many Blues festivals and events that take place year-round across the U.K. and really are a band to be seen, heard and felt to fully appreciate. Out front is their singer-songwriter Sophie Lindsay, followed by Carleton Van-Selman on Keys, Andy Walker on guitar, Trev Turley on bass and Matt Furness on drums. The Mojos present an interesting sound to get your heart around, but once you do, youll be glad you did.

Having already performed at the London Blues Festival, Endorset and Ealing Blues Festival; as well as iconic venues such as Ronnie Scott's, Green Note, The 100 Club and Gaz's Rockin Blues Club, this new group is already off to a fabulous start. Hayseed Dixie

Hayseed Dixie

8 Oct 2025 - 8 Oct 2025

Hayseed Dixie began one innocent Summer day in 2000 when John Wheeler and Mike Daly drank roughly enough whiskey to float a battleship from the Florida Coast over to Portugal and back and decided to play around in John’s studio. Having spent the previous few years touring around with assorted country hat-acts, John had assembled a proper pile of recording equipment. Thus when he and Mike discovered in their drunken epiphany that the Lost Highway of Reverend Hank Williams and the Highway to Hell of Bishop Bon Scott were indeed the same identical stretch of tarmac, they were well and truly prepared to document this revelation in situ. Holding up their own idiosyncratic mirror to an unsettled and unsettling 2017, Hayseed Dixie offer up their 15th studio album, a collection of both original songs and reinterpretations of R&B and Soul classics. Dance with them as they probe the queries: “Why do we still believe there is such a thing as race’?” “Are concepts like nations’ and nationality’ really useful to people who lay bricks or perform kidney stone surgeries?” and “Why does every song always sound better with a banjo in the mix?” The boys are seeking after the root core categorical commonality that runs like an eternal golden braid throughout all of humanity. Then they will buy it a drink! Presented by Hot Box Live Community Interest This is an 18+ event

Both organisations share our ethos and always go the extra mile whilst making a difference in their communities, so it’s the perfect match! We are excited and hopeful that we will create a real buzz around these nights. Ultimately enabling people with additional needs the opportunity to let their hair down, meet friends & have a DANCE! This is carried out in a safe environment with staff on hand to support; those attending will enjoy their night with the confidence that there are people around them that are there to help. Our music acts will be showcasing the superb talent within the additional needs community and the DJs providing the entertainment also have additional needs, playing the best in House, UK garage, R&B, Decades, theme nights and Club Classics. We are hopeful to put on many live music events in the future and they will always be run like any other club night, promoting inclusion and diversity, and enabling people to enjoy real life experiences. Songs Of The Folk

Songs Of The Folk

15 Jun 2025 - 15 Jun 2025

Join us for a Sunday afternoon of quality Folk & Americana. A.T. and Lauren Cason are lifetime musicians who perform original American folk and blues songs that harken back to the roots music of the American South as well as the 1960s Folk Revival artists of NYC’s Greenwich Village. It’s Simon & Garfunkel mixed with early Dylan, with a touch of Leonard Cohen and a helping of true Piedmont blues fingerstyle guitar from North Carolina. Coming from a family of storytellers, A.T. writes stories and themes of the human condition into relatable songs of the most poetic, yet down-to-earth lyrics. His unique fingerstyle guitar-playing displays both sophisticated and ragtime techniques, and played on his 1935 Gibson L-00, is a most authentic accompaniment to the songs. A Suzuki-trained pianist since the age of three, Lauren enriches the tunes with beautiful countermelodies and pleasing harmonies while sometimes contributing elegant piano parts to certain songs. A concert of Songs of the Folk is a concert of well-crafted music and lyrics, flawless harmonies, intricate instrumentation, and original storytelling. Audience members will leave impressed by the songwriting and fingerstyle guitar-playing, entranced by the refined vocal harmonies, and enamored with the exceptional lyricism, but most importantly, each person in the audience will leave full of enjoyment, feeling like an old friend of the Casons and a part of their Songs of the Folk. The Deep Throats | Viral Breakdowns
Formed in Chelmsford in late 1977, The Deep Throats made a big impression on the Essex punk scene, and built up a sizeable following in the local area. In 1978 the classic single "Rock 'n' Roll Discharge" was released on the short lived Limp label. It was the Number One seller in Chelmsford record shops, keeping ABBA at Number Two. It was also favouable reviewed in Melody Maker and NME, and was regularly played by the likes of Mike Read and John Peel. Now it sits near the top of many collector's wants lists and changes hands for a tidy sum. High profile support slots with the likes of The Adverts and The Radio Stars cemented the band's reputation, but unfortunately the band drifted apart in 1980. Brief reformations happened in 1986 and 1989, but fast forward all the way to 2021 and Detour Records decided to release a compilation CD called "We're the Force", containing both sides of the band's single along with a whole host of unreleased material. This renewed interest in the band prompted them to get back together for a sell out gig at London's legendary Hope and Anchor in late 2023. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/radiatorbanduk/ Solitude Sometimes Is Solitude Sometimes Is melts poetic pretensions with punk-folk vibes to tackle that nagging question: is modern life rubbish? The Ska Legends The Kubricks are back in Chelmsford after their sold out show in January! After completing two autumn UK tours and securing a publishing deal with Wipe Out Music, The Kubricks unveiled their latest album, ‘Between Antipodes’, in December 2022. Radio City Sessions W/ The Jackson Line
Showcasing the best in Country and Americana songwriting talent from across the UK and beyond, the Radio City Sessions are limited-audience events which take you behind the scenes of the songwriting process. Discover the stories behind the songs, get insights into the songwriting craft, and then hear the songs in the most ‘country’ way possible - a guitar and a vocal. The songwriters' round is a staple of the Nashville music scene, and the Radio City Sessions capture the intimacy of those events, enabling you, the listener, to discover the stories behind the songs. Each artist performs their own music (whether this has been released under their own name or written for another performer) as well as a cover song that has a particular meaning for them. Between each song, the artists will tell their stories, exploring their songwriting process and chatting with the other artists on the stage. There will be laughter, there will be fun and there may also be some tears! The night is hosted by The Jackson Line. Over the last few years, the band have been playing and releasing songs from their sophomore EP, California, recorded in Winnipeg, Canada with Juno Award-winning producer Murray Pulver (The Bros. Landreth, Katy Hurt). I'd worked with Ted before, Steve says "I knew he would fit the gig perfectly. He certainly does. Bass player Horace Panter is unavailable for this weekend so in his place steps Norman Watt-Roy, one of Britain's best-loved bass players. He is best known today for his work with The Blockheads and Wilko Johnson. Over his long career, however, he has worked with the Clash, Madness, Nick Lowe, The Selecter, Rodger Daltrey, and provided the original bass line for Frankie Goes to Hollywood's smash hit 'Relax'. This then is Steve's dream team rhythm section that swings as hard as it rocks. We have started to develop that musical telepathy that makes a band more than just the sum of its parts. It is a really thrilling time and keeps music alive.'

A sucker for folk, blues, rock and country music, Jack divides his time between the recording studio, the art studio, and touring the UK and Europe. Heathen Apostles Ft Chopper From The Cramps
Born of the voices of past lives and baptized in the dust bowl dirt, the Gothic Americana music of the Heathen Apostles (Mather Louth \[Radio Noir\], Chopper Franklin \[The Cramps, Nick Curran & the Lowlifes\], Thomas Lorioux \[Kings of Nuthin’\] and Luis Mascaro) harkens back to a bygone chapter of American history. Using contrasting influences such as Bauhaus, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and The Pogues along with Howlin’ Wolf, Loretta Lynn (the band covers her classic Fist City) and Bessie Smith, the Heathen Apostles have created a style of music that at once conjures both angels and demons, and will enlighten a darkened soul.
