Control Voltage: Electronic Music Open Mic
The name says it all, Electronic Music Open Mic or EMOM for short is an open stage night for local electronic musicians. This free night will showcase up to 7 local electronic artists performing an array of different types of music ranging from house, techno, ambient, industrial, chiptune, looping, field recording, experimental electronica and more. EMOM has become a movement over the last 2 years with regular independent nights hosted in many cities and counties across the UK. This night is aimed at giving local electronic music artists a supportive space to play live and experiment. These nights are great fun for both artists and fans of electronic music, you never know what genre you might hear next! The format is simple; each artist will get a 20-minute window (including set up time) to do their thing before handing over to the next artist. The only rule is no guitars unless they are being used to generate soundscapes or some other style of music in keeping with these nights. If you’d like to play, please email [email protected] to register. If you’d just like to come along and watch, just click the ‘buy now’ link to secure your place. The night is completely free whether you are playing or watching. All ages welcome - under 16 to be accompanied by a responsible adult. This event is hosted by Control Voltage. Independance

Independance

1 Apr 2026 - 16 Dec 2026

Independence project & Clubs provide a multitude of activities so that people can participate in new experiences and in things that they enjoy. From our own research we learned that previous live music events in Chelmsford that supported the learning disability community had all ceased, certainly club nights are just not happening. We've sprung into action to make a change. IndepenDANCE was born! We've partnered with Eazee Learning & Hot Box. Both organisations share our ethos and always go the extra mile whilst making a difference in their communities, so it’s the perfect match! We are excited and hopeful that we will create a real buzz around these nights. Ultimately enabling people with additional needs the opportunity to let their hair down, meet friends & have a DANCE! This is carried out in a safe environment with staff on hand to support; those attending will enjoy their night with the confidence that there are people around them that are there to help. Our music acts will be showcasing the superb talent within the additional needs community and the DJs providing the entertainment also have additional needs, playing the best in House, UK garage, R&B, Decades, theme nights and Club Classics. We are hopeful to put on many live music events in the future and they will always be run like any other club night, promoting inclusion and diversity, and enabling people to enjoy real life experiences. Please spread the message and help us to make them a success. Let's Go! Presented by Hot Box Live Community Interest Company. This is an 18+ event

Radio City Sessions Samuel Ashton And Bearfootsoul
Showcasing the best in Country and Americana songwriting talent from across the UK and beyond, the Radio City Sessions are limited-audience events which take you behind the scenes of the songwriting process. Discover the stories behind the songs, get insights into the songwriting craft, and then hear the songs in the most ‘country’ way possible - a guitar and a vocal. The songwriters' round is a staple of the Nashville music scene, and the Radio City Sessions capture the intimacy of those events, enabling you, the listener, to discover the stories behind the songs. Each artist performs their own music (whether this has been released under their own name or written for another performer) as well as a cover song that has a particular meaning for them. Between each song, the artists will tell their stories, exploring their songwriting process and chatting with the other artists on the stage. There will be laughter, there will be fun and there may also be some tears! The night is hosted by The Jackson Line. Over the last few years, the band have been playing and releasing songs from their sophomore EP, California, recorded in Winnipeg, Canada with Juno Award-winning producer Murray Pulver (The Bros. Landreth, Katy Hurt). The first single, Shade of the Pines, featured on Apple Music’s 'Today's Country' editorial playlist, while the second, Gonna Get To You, was showcased on Baylen Leonard's Front Porch on Absolute Country as well as on Countryline Radio. Samuel Ashton Samuel Ashton's music has been described as "Deliciously Soulful" by the BBC's Leo Ulph and as "A celebration of pure, unfiltered soul and passion" by Black Deer Live. Currently back in the studio working with Grammy-winning engineer Ian Dowling on their debut album, Samuel's soul voice and classic RnB sound have seen him sell out shows across the UK and make waves with over 500k streams on Spotify and radio play on the BBC, throughout Europe, the United States and Australia. Cene Magazine’s Joe Bill writes "Blessed with soaring vocals that feel like a warm jumper keeping you safe from the cold"; 2026 promises to see him set stages alight with his captivating live performances. BearFootSoul BearFootSoul’s Matt White has been described as “...a homesick, old-world musical medicine-man, sharing sonic elixirs to soothe the human condition in turbid times...” US native singer / songwriter Matt White left Northern Appalachia filled with the love of home-grown roots, rock, blues and forged a soul-searching, home-sick, fun-loving songwriting style in the UK. Weaving an intimate, deeply engaging, magical tapestry, Matt's latest work, EP ‘Roadbumps & Revelations’ showcases four heel-weathered songs paying homage to a life of Grit, Graft, Grace and Gratitude. He's been spreading the message with a tireless series of “other-worldly” solo performances featuring feverishly gritty lyrics, soul-powered vocals and authentically earthy acoustic guitar-driven roots and sizzling country-soul. Audiences are captivated with Matt's hypnotic charm and humour as he gently invites all to join him on the inside of his songs. Presented by Hot Box Live Community Interest This is an 18+ event

Will Wilde

Will Wilde

25 Apr 2026 - 18 Sept 2026

Will Wildes intense harmonica style steals the spotlight from the traditional blues rock guitar, with a sound that owes as much to Gary Moore as it does to Sonny Boy Williamson. "Im always looking to make new sounds with the harmonica, pushing its boundaries, trying to change peoples perception of it. In fact Will has gone one step further and created his own signature "Wilde Tuned" harmonicas so he can play licks that werent possible before. They enable me to hold my own with any blues rock guitarist.
Nothing In Rambling

Nothing In Rambling

5 Apr 2026 - 5 Apr 2026

Sister Suzie and Andy Twyman take you on a musical journey through Mississippi and Louisiana performing music by artists such as Memphis Minnie, Blind Boy Fuller and Elmore James. Guided by a mutual passion for early blues, they evoke the playfulness, power and soul of the music and the people who created it. 2024 saw the release of their highly acclaimed debut album Live at Bush Hall, which received airplay on the Cerys Matthews BBC Radio 2 Blues Show. In 2024 they played as Nothing in Rambling at Red Rooster Festival, Upton Blues Festival as well and Glastonbury.
Heathen Apostles Ft Chopper From The Cramps
Born of the voices of past lives and baptized in the dust bowl dirt, the Gothic Americana music of the Heathen Apostles harkens back to a bygone chapter of American history. Using contrasting influences such as Bauhaus, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and The Pogues along with Howlin’ Wolf, Loretta Lynn (the band covers her classic Fist City) and Bessie Smith, the Heathen Apostles have created a style of music that will conjure both angels and demons, and will enlighten a darkened soul. Forming the band together in 2013, Mather Louth (Radio Noir) and rock n roll veteran Chopper Franklin (The Cramps, Mau Maus, Nick Curran & the Lowlifes) quickly uncovered a mutual appreciation for murder balladry, Americana, and memento mori. The landscape was further tilled with the addition of Luis Mascaro on violin. Their 6 critically acclaimed albums, along with their many EPs and singles (their release The Fall was named Best EP of 2018 by Folk n Rock magazine), capture the essence of the Heathen Apostles modus operandi: Southern Gothic Americana imagery surrounded by haunting, minor-chord melodies, musical influences including Gothic Roots music, Bluegrass, Blues, and Gypsy Jazz, all deftly bound together by the band’s dark and sometimes brooding sense of a bygone age. Most recently, the band completed tours of both mainland Europe as well as the UK in support of their latest release, The In Between, with plans to return for two tours in 2026 in support of their forthcoming EP. Lorelle Meets the Obsolete

Lorelle Meets the Obsolete

3 May 2026 - 15 May 2026

Mexican duo Lorelle Meets The Obsolete make a very welcome return with their sixth album, Datura. Recorded at their home studio in Ensenada, Baja California, it was mixed in Canada by Jace Lasek of The Besnard Lakes and mastered in Australia by Mikey Young of Eddy. Current Suppression Ring and Total Control. It’s a short, sharp shock of a record with no unnecessary adornments and no fat on any of its eight songs. Gone are the psychedelic wig-outs found on previous releases, replaced with bass-heavy post-punk grooves inspired by the roots of The Congos, the no wave of Ike Yard, the industrial hip-hop of Dälek and the dark modular moves of Hiro Kone, all while harnessing the elemental power of Jon Hassell’s Vernal Equinox.

Pete Bruntnell Band

Pete Bruntnell Band

24 Sept 2026 - 24 Sept 2026

In an uncertain number of years time, it will be acceptably cool to say that you first got into non-Grammy-winning artist Peter Bruntnell through his classic 2024 album Houdini And The Sucker Punch, before then going back and discovering his back catalogue of yet more “classics”. And you were there! You saw him live. You were one of those “10” people who saw him play in that modestly-sized room, almost 30 years into his career. Three years on, another album into Peter’s 13 or 14 album catalogue and shouldering the burden of even more sublime reviews. Every possible positive adjective has been called into play, although it must be noted that the word “sublime” can never be used enough. Not even 2021’s primarily solo, slightly synthy lockdown album succeeded in putting an end to his non-success, despite Mojo echoing the plea that, “Somehow, some way, this cult and infinitely class songwriter must get his due wider recognition”. The Scottish Daily Express with its 5 star review, slightly frustrated, said, or perhaps yelled, “I’m getting tired of saying this: He’s brilliant”. The Irish Times thoughtfully combined two quotes into one, saving us the trouble of going back and getting crushed under the sheer weight of Peter’s archive of press quotes: “With Journey To The Sun, the man whose songs NME once noted should be placed on school curriculums has done it again.” And he continues to do so. Gerry Jablonski

Gerry Jablonski

27 Jun 2026 - 27 Jun 2026

Aberdeen’s internationally acclaimed blues-rock outfit, The Gerry Jablonski Band, is charging into 2025 with a new weapon in their arsenal-frontman and powerhouse vocalist, Nicky Aiken. A familiar face on the Aberdeen music scene and a former Royal Marine Commando, Aiken trades in military tours for international music tours as he joins the band full-time. The announcement follows a standout guest performance with the band at their Aberdeen show last September, where sparks flew and the chemistry was undeniable. Frontman Gerry Jablonski recalls, “We knew it would take a special kind of lunatic to come aboard this ship of fools. But after that gig, it was clear-we had to take the collaboration further. The music just clicked.” Aiken, who has shared stages with the likes of Marti Pellow and fronted his own band Nicky Aiken and the Temple Sons, was, in his own words, “in between things” when he got the call. A chance supermarket encounter with Jablonski Band harmonica player Pete led to the now-fateful invite. “I think he felt sorry for me,” laughs Aiken. “Next thing I knew, I was mid-set at their show with about 10 minutes’ rehearsal.” Their signature blend of heavy riffs, searing harp, and blues-infused rock continues to evolve-with the addition of rich vocal harmonies and a rejuvenated sound thanks to Aiken’s dynamic voice. Preacher Blues from the Mississippi Delta and Hill Country Blues tradition. L.R. Phoenix is an English blues guitarist/singer/songwriter who happens to live in Finland. He plays in the style of Mississippi bluesmen like Fred McDowell, Junior Kimbrough and R.L. Burnside. He is a very fine guitar player, but it’s the voice, the voice is everything. It’s like Howlin’ Wolf crossed with Captain Beefheart with hints of Son House and Bukka White, then all liberally doused in malt whisky and honey. Phil Wight - Blues & Rhythm Magazine The CD’s ‘The Hollow Log of Capt. Richard Wolfe’ and ‘Live at Blues Rules’ were voted best European Blues cd of 2011 and 2012 respectively by Blues Underground, also ‘The Hollow Log....’ was voted one of the top albums for 2012 by the Collection of French Radio DJ’s. We defy you NOT to dance to this band! Odette Michell And Craig Joiner

Odette Michell And Craig Joiner

19 Sept 2026 - 19 Sept 2026

There isn't enough room to write about all the achievements that Odette & Craig have sccomplished over their music career here. I urge you to read more about them on their websites, https://craigjoinermusic.com/ & https://www.odettemichell.com/ which will hopefully make you understand what outstanding folk talents they are. Odette Michelle :- "One of the brightest new names to have emerged full-grown on the country’s folk scene in recent years" FOLK RADIO. Odette Michell is an award-winning British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a rich foothold in the folk tradition. In April 2019, Odette released her debut album ‘The Wildest Rose’. The album gained widespread positive acclaim followed by a string of live interviews, and featured notable musical contributions from Phil Beer, and Toby Shaer. Craig Joiner :- Whether lamenting a love lost, celebrating the calming beauty of nature or relating the epic tale of a struggle at sea, Craig’s songs are informed by experience, observation, vivid imagination and a desire to take his music “deeper into folk”. Although Craig has forged a career and won repute in the rock arena, folk music has always been his true muse and calling. “As a 15-year-old, I played my first gig, guitar in hands, at the Cellar Folk Club in Hemel Hempstead,” he recalls. “Life and opportunities then led me elsewhere, but here I am again, having travelled full circle. It feels like home and it’s so wonderful to be here.” Sponsored by Last Piastre Records. Presented by Black Frog This is an 18+ event
John Otway And The Big Band

John Otway And The Big Band

26 Sept 2026 - 26 Sept 2026

John Otway is an English singer-songwriter who has built a sizeable cult audience through extensive touring, a surreal sense of humour and a self-deprecating underdog persona. From the age of 9, Otway knew he wanted to be a pop star. But even at that young age, having listened to his sister's Beatles and Stones records, he knew he would never be able to do what they do. However, when his sister got the latest Bob Dylan album, he knew there was a place for him and he set about learning how to play guitar. Otway had to wait until 1977 and the rise of punk before his dream of fame and fortune would finally become a reality. Having caught the eye of the producers of the BBC's Old Grey Whistle Test, Otway's performance on that show would grab the attention of the watching audience. Otway, ever the showman, decided to jump on to the amplifier of his colleague during a performance of Bob Lind's Cheryl's Going Home. (Un)fortunately for Otway, he misjudged his leap and sent Wild Willy Barrett’s amplifier tumbling as he crashed down straddling the box under the amp. The full force of the impact was absorbed by the most tender body parts, but in doing this one simple act of recklessness and his wanton disregard for his own safety, Otway was the talk of everyone who watched that evening's programme. Their comeback single 'Red' marked a bold statement of intent, showcasing massive hooks, melodic firepower, and their signature fusion of hard rock grit and modern metal urgency. With global radio play and a growing army of fans, Soulweaver has shared the stage with top international acts like Black Star Riders, Wishbone Ash, and The Quireboys. Katie Spencer

Katie Spencer

22 Nov 2026 - 22 Nov 2026

Katie will released her third album What Love Is in October 2025; an intimate collection of ten brand-new songs produced by Matt Ingram (Laura Marling, The Staves). Recorded in London’s Urchin Studios and featuring prominent players Giacomo Smith (clarinet), Max Clilverd (pedal steel), Tom Mason (double bass) and Matt Ingram (drums, synth). What Love Is evokes the spirit of Joni Mitchell’s finest later works, always honouring without emulating. Lyrically mature and at times pastoral; the album is melodically sophisticated and unflinchingly honest. She moves effortlessly from wide-open jazz-tinged soundscapes, influenced by Pharoah Sanders and John Abercrombie, through to the folk-baroque fingerpicking style that her fans admire her for. Her singing is powerful yet warm, true and pristine in delivery. The musicianship throughout the record feels liberated by Katie’s innovation and confidence, and the result is a master-class of inspired and beautiful-sounding craftmanship. ‘... a world-class folk guitarist’ - fRoots 'Katie’s guitar playing has echoes of my dear friend the late great Bert Jansch. Like a musical weaver she threads her poetic lyrics through the guitar’s strings and produces tapestries of song.' - Ralph McTell Presented by Black Frog This is an 18+ event

Flying Moon In Space

Flying Moon In Space

7 May 2026 - 7 May 2026

Tonight a very special Fuzz Club band Flying Moon In Space are a seven-piece band from Leipzig, Germany borne out of live improvisations. Having clocked-up nearly fifty shows in their home-city alone and headline tours around Europe, the group have now signed to London-based label Fuzz Club for their self-titled debut LP. A shape-shifting blend of driving Krautrock aesthetics, vivid psychedelic pop and techno-indebted electronics. Although they cite influences that span the likes of Can, Neu! and Brian Eno, ‘Flying Moon In Space’ is an album indebted to the band’s own experimental live approach more than anything else. Their improvised live shows typically see them perform with four guitars, bass, drums and vocals, resulting in huge walls of sound that are awash with hypnotic motorik beats and orchestral walls of reverb. Talking about the album, they say: “We gain our main influences during experimenting live with different rhythms, layers of sounds and other textures. The energy that comes up playing live with that amount of people takes our perception of music to another dimension. ‘The Observer’ is described as an anthem for the “post-industrial burnouts” of the world, a call to break from the humdrum drudgery of modern life in the form of an upbeat psych-pop earworm. “All work and no play is a recipe for disaster,” they say: “We grow old eight hours a day at a desk and then death comes with a bitter kiss. When all is said and done, time will tell that fun has no age.” Presented by HotBox Live. 18+

Although Laurence doesn’t need too much of an introduction in the music business, for those that haven’t had the chance to see him yet, it’s well worth sharing a thing or two about this artist! He sings, he plays and he writes -- a triple craft -- and he does so like a veteran twice his age, but absolutely no ego and with both feet firmly on the ground! Hailed as 'one to watch' as a teenager by the blues media, concert/festival bookers, blues fans and various guitar stars alike, young Laurence really has come of age. The blues cub has become a man with a plan, turning heads and making jaws drop with his take-no-prisoners, incendiary live set and stunning records. Laurence and his crack band -- Jones on vocals and guitars, Roger Inniss on bass and Phil Wilson on drums -- put the power into power trio, with their modern day blues rock with an edge.

Stray Ft Del Bromham

Stray Ft Del Bromham

17 Oct 2026 - 17 Oct 2026

If you was here for last years sold out gig, then you'll know Stray still rocks! Formed in West London, in 1966, Stray released their self-titled debut album in 1970. The band mix scintillating guitar playing in a twin guitar format with original member Del Bromham and Pete Dyer firmly back in the fold. Powerhouse drummer Karl Randall has occupied the position longer than any other. The addition of Pearl Handled Revolver's Simon Rinaldo on keys and Colin Kempster on bass drives the melodic anthemic songs such as All in Your Mind, covered by the multi-million selling Iron Maiden with whom Stray have toured Europe. Indeed, their tours with Rush and Kiss earned them a truly international reputation. Their career retrospective on six CDs with Esoteric Records, was voted into the top 25 of the Best Album re-releases of 2021. Another compilation of their singles released worldwide was re-issued later in the year. Del Bromham also has his autobiography published titled Rock and Roll Survivor (Wymer Publishing) which has received great critical acclaim. Presented by Hot Box Live Community Interest Company. Spike (the Quireboys) And Chris Heilmann
Join us for an intimate evening with possibly the greatest storyteller of all time - Spike from The Quireboys - with his 'Off the Record - A Life in Rock & Roll' tour, accompanied by Chris Heilman. Spike is the founder and unmistakable frontman of The Quireboys, one of the UK’s most enduring rock ’n’ roll bands. Through every chapter and line-up change, he’s been the band’s constant heartbeat - songwriter, singer, and the voice behind classics like Hey You, I Don’t Love You Anymore, and 7 O’Clock, penned with long-time collaborator Guy Bailey. Alongside his work with The Quireboys, Spike has also had a succession of critically acclaimed solo records and treasured collaborations. Music is Spike’s lifeblood. Always has been and always will be. When the pandemic brought touring to a halt, Spike stripped things back with a series of intimate acoustic shows to support his Late Night Song Book album - one of the first live music offerings as lockdown eased in 2021. These storytelling-led performances quickly became a fan favourite and remain one of Spike’s favourite performance showpieces. Even though the newly re-formed Quireboys continue to sell out larger venues, he is very much at home with his acoustic guitar, accompanied by Chris Heilmann. 2026 promises to be a packed year, with shows across Europe and the USA - but as always, Spike will return home to the UK to deliver his unique and much-loved solo performances to fans old and new. Following in the footsteps of riot grrrl punks before them, their music is loud, heavy and catchy - you’ll be singing along by the second chorus or your money back (...they probably won’t give you your money back). Their debut EP dropped in April 2025 to acclaim from Louder Than War, LOUD WOMEN and The Guardian - who featured them again this year for their debut Glastonbury performance. Kmo (band Of Friends)

Kmo (band Of Friends)

5 Dec 2026 - 5 Dec 2026

Any guitarist looking for a quality blues rocker to emulate couldn’t do better than latch onto Rory Gallagher. But Davy Knowles went one better; he hired Gallagher’s band to support him. They share equal billing on MKO, released on Oct. 17. Bassist Gerry McAvoy (M) and drummer Brendan O’Neill (O) have toured extensively with Knowles (K) as Band of Friends (they once played all Gallagher material) but this is the first time they have collaborated on a studio album of original songs. The eight tunes are penned and sung by Knowles and while they share some of Gallagher’s driving approach and the power trio lineup he favored both in his own work and that of his previous band Taste, this is no copycat outfit. Knowles, like his biggest influence, knows that successful blues rockers need firm melodies with memorable lyrics, as well as succinct, gripping guitar solos. He displays the sum of those talents on material such as “High Horse,” a kiss-off to an old flame with “It’s the same ol’ record playin’,...You ain’t got nothin’ good to say”. He unleashes his slide on a flaming solo as bass and drums deliver swampy backing. It’s such a cool vibe, you’ll wish it would extend past its three-and-a-half minute length. It’s an impressive start for what seems like a project that has legs. In MKO with McAvoy and O’Neill, Knowles has found a rhythm section that meets his high standards; a duo road-tested, approved and certified by one of the blues-rock greats. "Eye catching vocals meet sumptuous guitar”- Guitarist Magazine "Terrific musicians. Very nice indeed” - Paul Jones Rhythm & Blues, BBC radio 2 "Recommended” - Jamie Cullum, BBC radio 2 "A perfect mix of head and heart’ - Ronnie Scott’s Magazine The first Blue Commotion gig in February 2012 was a culmination of a ten-year musical partnership between Zoë Schwarz and guitarist Rob Koral. Through their intense musical journey and compatible desire, they developed a perfect collaboration and empathy, which, when analysed, comes from two completely different starting points. Because of this melting pot of musical diversity, there is a depth and uniqueness to the band's music, which is hard to pigeonhole and categorise. Into the mix comes the sheer virtuosity of each of the band members who are allowed the freedom to express their musical authority, and stamp their own personal magic to the song writing of Zoë and Rob. A testament to this chemistry is the sheer volume of music coming out of the band, and CHAMELEON was the band’s seventh album in eight years as at April 2020. Zoe and Rob are a “nationally regarded couple, it tells in the power and professionalism of their performance...”. 2 Jul 2026 - 2 Jul 2026

Roots music shapeshifters Hackensaw Boys have been making audiences holler and dance since way back in 1999. Formed in Charlottesville and now based in Lynchburg, Virginia, this hard traveling group has built an international following for their high-energy performances and down-to-earth presentation. Despite their roots in traditional music, their homegrown aesthetic (bolstered by the “charismo,” their calling card percussion instrument handmade from cans and other metal objects) belies their contemporary approach to songcraft and showmanship. Hackensaw Boys’ music today has just as much in common with the straight-ahead sound of the Del McCoury Band as it does with the indie rock of Pavement and the modern folk of the Avett Brothers and Mountain Goats. Their most recent LPs merge an old timey sonic palette with a folk-punk sensibility, with poignant lyricism, focused arrangements, and a deep groove all held together by bluegrass chops. Coming out swinging after the pandemic release of A Fireproof House Of Sunshine and 2022’s Hackensaw Boys, they’ve brought this sound on tour dates all across the US, Canada, and Europe, including appearances at ROMP Music Festival, Paaspop (Netherlands), and Tønder Festival (Denmark). The Jaywalkers

The Jaywalkers

9 May 2026 - 7 Nov 2026

As those who have been fortunate enough to catch them in full flight will testify, a Jaywalkers show is an exhilarating experience. UK-based they may be but many from the other side of the Atlantic have complimented them on their particularly stylish delivery of this virtuosic and rich brand of Americana, Bluegrass & Country. These three outstanding musicians have developed a tight bond, demonstrated through their well-crafted, tasteful arrangements and ability to bounce ideas around the stage. The combination of powerhouse bass, flame-fingered mandolin, blistering fiddle and three-part harmony pack a punch as fiery as Jay's lead vocals and delivers a rich sound that far exceeds what youd expect from an acoustic trio. Mandolin maestro Mike Giverin is also the chief songwriter, and the band's originals cover themes including the travails of the travelling musician, saving the planet and even tales of being stranded halfway up a mountain. All of which stand proudly alongside their clever covers, foot-stomping bluegrass tunes and superb interpretations of old country classics. In Jay Bradberry, the band has a truly sensational lead singer and fiddle player, and double bassist Lucille Williams is one of the best around, breaking out impressive slap bass alongside rock solid timing, taste and tone. Jaywalkers are a real melting pot of their collective inspirations and the influences of their musical upbringings. This is evident in their live sets which come to life in their use of Country heartbreak and Bluegrass dynamism applied to issues of the modern day and life as a touring bandmostly stuck on the M6.

His music lives in the space between stillness and change, reflecting on memory, time, and the quiet strength of the natural world. Since the release of his second album, Gravity in Grief, the project has grown steadily through word of mouth, passing one million streams while remaining fully independent. A weird but fun performer that is always best experienced live... From ranting about Gaelic choirs to grim versions of worldwide hits, RuMac’s debut album 'The Bloody Box' is a punishing cacophony for yer ears that’ll keep you on yer toes and reaching for the skip button. With the debut album clocking over 1,500,000 plays online, just two videos on YouTube with over 2,000,000 plays, and an already bulging diary for 2026, it would seem that RuMac is the kind of freak that is going to get freakier and freakier. 25 Jul 2026 - 25 Jul 2026

Finally got L.R.Phoenix's If the Devil Sang the Blues. I put it on to do art to, had to stop because it's blowing my mind, it's conjured up an image in my mind; I'm sitting on a porch swing on the Mississippi delta, there's an alligator crossing my lawn as I sit in the sweet warm summer evening, sipping on a jack, whilst smelling the honeysuckle vine. In the church down the road I can hear Preacher L.R. Phoenix giving a sermon. He's bellowing out stories that have got the congregation on the edge of their seats. He's preaching The Blues about the devil, Po'black Mattie and the Red Cross store, I'm about to head on over to the church and catch the rest of his sermon, twenty one prayers of song in a tradition as old as America itself and I gotta ask him, man are you Chester's brother because damn, when you sing, he's born again.

Man Of Moon + The Dsm Iv

11 May 2026 - 11 May 2026

A good old fashioned double A side. Two headliners on the same billing! Since their beginning Man of Moon have been a standout live act. The Glasgow-based duo possess an extraordinary talent for cross-pollinating genres and styles but their sound is not hybridised, rather they are a synthesis of their influences; a pure sonic distillation of what has come before. You hear the mesmeric drones of Mogwai, the dynamic shifts of Radiohead, the harmonic angularity of Tool, the industrial amalgam of Nine Inch Nails, even hints of Pink Floyd’s austere and abstract lyricism. Man of Moon are so much music in one band. And yet they’ve always sounded uniquely themselves; there is deep intentionality in every song’s construction. THE DSM IV candidly gives voice, beats, & glorious guitars to reflections on the onslaught of imagery & info as it’s endlessly fired into the human consciousness via the phone plague that has entwined itself into every aspect of our lives. With intensity, some grace, style, filth, bad taste & honesty, they unleash the rebel spirit into songs that dark alt-pop fans the world over will appreciate. Characters emerge from the same night time landscapes that Jarvis, Mark E Smith, Brett Anderson, ODB, CASISDEAD, Patti Smith, Shaun Ryder & Saul Adamczewski would seem to frequent. The debut album NEW AGE PARANOIA is a classic. They’ve toured with Sleaford Mods, The Libertines, Humanist, Benefits and in 2026 supporting Ladytron and Insecure Men. Kossoff... The Band Plays On

Kossoff... The Band Plays On

4 Jul 2026 - 4 Jul 2026

50th ANNIVERSARY GIG - REMEMBERING KOSS On the 19th March 2026.... it will be fifty years since the tragic death of Paul Kossoff. Kossoff...The Band Plays On intend to commemorate Paul’s life and music in a series of very special shows. The show we have is on the actual date we lost Paul. Paul Kossoff, the guitar prodigy, aged just 25, tragically died in March 1976 - but his music lives on. Kossoff was (and still is) revered by music fans and fellow musicians worldwide. Joe Bonamassa, Brian May (Queen), Gary Rossington (Lynyrd Skynyrd), and Warren Haynes (Allman Brothers / Government Mule) are just a few of the guitarists influenced by Kossoff. The band is fronted by Terry Slesser, the former lead vocalist of Back Street Crawler, with Paul, and the line-up includes some well-known musicians, making this show way beyond a mere ‘tribute’ act. Guitarist John Buckton embodies the sound, soul and rawness of Koss' playing, and it’s no surprise that Free drummer Simon Kirke has said: "If Free were to reform, John would be my first choice as guitarist." Also included in the line-up is powerhouse drummer Clive Edwards, formerly of UFO, Wild Horses and Lionheart. The lineup is completed with the revered and inimitable John ‘Rhino’ Edwards (Status Quo) on bass guitar. Highlights will include Free’s “All Right Now”, “Fire and Water”, “Wishing Well”, crowd-pleaser “The Hunter” and “Molten Gold”; one of the first tracks Slesser and Kossoff played together with Back Street Crawler. The Ugly Guys

The Ugly Guys

5 Jul 2026 - 5 Jul 2026

The Ugly Guys are a UK band that specialises in a brand of music now referred to as Americana. They have had worldwide success with their version of Toby Keith’s “Don’t Let The Old Man In”. Their latest album on Conquest Music is a collection of their favourite songs called “ Cover Your Tracks”. Back in the heady days of Pub Rock, a band arrived on the scene that was a little different to most. They had a pedal steel player, and their lead singer seemed to base his look on George Cole’s ‘Flash Harry’ in the St. Trinians movies. The band were, of course, The Kursaal Flyers, and they would go on to become one of the more commercially successful bands on the pub rock circuit, though that success would, ultimately, be their undoing. Fast forward to 2003 and, out of the ashes of The Kursaal Flyers, we get The Ugly Guys (named from a Kursaal’s song). What few people knew at the time was that the Kursaal Flyers started out as a country rock covers band, hence the pedal steel guitar of Vic Collins, and that love of country rock never deserted Collins and lead singer Paul Shuttleworth. In 2003 they formed the band that currently consists of the two ex-Kursaals plus guitarist Steve Oliver (ex-Jerry The Ferret), former Pinkee, Nevil Kiddier, on bass and ex-Mickey Jupp sticksman, Bob Clouter, on drums.
