Cally Beaton: Namaste Motherf*ckers

Cally Beaton: Namaste Motherf*ckers

7 Apr 2026 - 19 Nov 2026

A quick-witted, unexpected and unapologetic insight into life in midlife. Combining Cally’s comedic and storytelling prowess with extracts from her provocative, stereotype-busting book of the same name, the show has at its heart her own story of radical reinvention - taking her from meetings in boardrooms to treading the boards, thanks to a chance conversation with the late, great Joan Rivers. A funny show about a deadly serious subject, Namaste Motherf★ckers is a celebration of and for the female of the species. Invisible no more. The show has just celebrated an Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2025 sell-out, and it will include a Q&A and meet-and-greet with Cally (who knows, Jeff the wonder dog may even be there too).
James Grant

James Grant

6 May 2026 - 16 May 2026

James Grant is simply one of the most renowned and respected musicians Scotland has ever produced. His career began in the early eighties with Friends Again. Although short-lived, their influence was huge, helping to define the emerging sound of the Scottish bands that followed them. It was in Love and Money that James found more widespread recognition; four albums, working with an array of legendary producers such as Gary Katz (Steely Dan) and Tom Dowd (Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin) several hit singles, a world-wide following and silver discs in the UK helped seal his reputation as one of the best songwriters in the country. He has shared the stage and worked with such luminaries as Donald Fagen (Steely Dan), BBKing, Pete Seeger, Nanci Griffiths, U2, Jeff Pocaro (Toto), Tim Schmidt (The Eagles), Tom Verlaine. He has released 6 solo albums and continues to record and perform.

Tender, funny and defiantly hopeful, The Light House is a real-life story of falling in love and staying in love, even when the lights go out and you’re lost in the dark. It’s a love letter to life. Shotgunned

Shotgunned

10 Apr 2026 - 10 Apr 2026

Equal parts hilarious and heart-breaking, Matt Anderson’s Shotgunned is a relatable and intimate piece of theatre about how the people we lose can shape who we become. Telling the story of Dylan and Roz – a couple who unexpectedly fall out of love – Shotgunned takes the audience on a non-linear journey through their relationship in a collection of fragmented scenes, like photographs in a shoebox or memories of a bygone age. Shotgunned is a poignant and humorous reflection on the messy and the beautiful in relationships, and how we can come up against a dead end, no matter how much we care for each other. Following a smash hit, sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe, this ★★★★★ ‘astonishingly accomplished’ (The Stage) new play comes to the Lemon Tree. Written and directed by Matt Anderson Performed by Lorna Panton & Fraser Allan Hogg (WINNERS: The Bright Spark Award for Emerging Scottish Talent, 2024) Produced by Julia Salkin for Serpentine Productions Matt Anderson Bio: Matt is a writer, director and producer based in Glasgow. John Kearns: Tilting at Windmills

2 Apr 2026 - 6 Nov 2026

Tilting at Windmills is the brand-new stand-up show from Taskmaster alumni and double Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner, John Kearns. A fragmented, digressing portrayal of a 38-year-old man’s life, alluding to books he hasn't read, touching on the modern condition. Plus VAT! More allusive and bleak as ever, it is unreal the comedian you become. And for who? Decent craic with the right crowd. A show for those who have read about but not committed to the Guinness Nitrosurge.

Morgan Rees: What A Bummer

24 Sept 2026 - 22 Nov 2026

After Morgan and his partner went on separate holidays - one to a Mathematics Forum in Coventry and the other to a Bear Party in Barcelona - a massive revelation forced Morgan to re-evaluate everything. Being banned from Great Western trains, being fired as a Naked Butler, and ghosting Paul McCartney were they really his fault? Has that got you hooked? Good, because thats the only stuff appropriate enough to include in the blurb. A stand-up show about the trials and errors of falling in love and keeping the spark alive, the spiral-inducing limbo of awaiting a diagnosis, and the experience of being a white Welsh valley boy integrating into a proud Guattari family. Oh, hes got plenty to talk about. As well as garnering millions of views online and rave-reviews for his live shows, Morgan has supported Joanne McNally, Rhys James and Jayde Adams on tour, appeared as a finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards, and hosts hit podcasts My Bad and Chatting With Cherubs alongside Josh Jones and Gearid Farrelly.
The Bacchae

The Bacchae

21 Apr 2026 - 21 Apr 2026

An outcast god. A powerless king. A mother who kills her only son. Glasgow’s acclaimed Company of Wolves present an earth-shattering solo retelling of the myth of Dionysos: an epic of rejection, vengeance and rebirth told through story, dance and ancient song. Written and performed by Ewan Downie, The Bacchae blurs the lines between binaries: human and animal, male and female, victim and perpetrator, and takes us on a transformative journey from repression and denial to renewal and release. A hymn of rebirth for our shattered selves.

Walter Trout and Dan Patlansky

Walter Trout and Dan Patlansky

2 Oct 2026 - 18 Oct 2026

Walter Trout's backstory is a page-turner you won't want to put down. Five decades in the making; it is equal parts thriller, romance, suspense and horror. There are musical fireworks, critical acclaim and fists-aloft triumph, offset by wilderness years and brushes with the jaws of narcotic oblivion. There are feted early stints as gunslinger in bands from John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers to Canned Heat, and the solo career that’s still blazing a quarter-century later. The veteran bluesman has seen and done it all - plays earth shattering blues rock music. In only a little over a decade, Dan Patlansky has become one of the busiest and most respected blues artists to ever come out of South Africa. After his debut album which garnered Dan a reputation as a Blues-phenomenon, and his subsequent “Readers Choice” vote as “Best Blues Guitarist in Southern Africa”, Dan’s second album was released by EMI on the famed Blue Note label. Dan is one of the only South Africans to ever achieve “Blue Note” status and one of only six Fender endorsed guitarists in South Africa. Dan Patlansky, #1 Blues Rock Album 2016 by Blues Rock Review.

Kris Drever

Kris Drever

1 Apr 2026 - 25 Apr 2026

Kris Drever originally comes from Hrossey in the Orkney Islands. Over the years, he has taught himself to be a songwriter, guitarist and singer of note (and sometimes many notes). As well as creating award-winning original songs and instrumental pieces with the trio Lau, he has had a fruitful solo career exploring the cracks between classic and modern songwriting and the traditional music that he comes from. Drever’s sound is rooted in the earthy and hypnotic rhythms of much older music, but there’s a sophistication to both the lyricism and the instrumentalism which places him skilfully in the present. He has an extensive collection of BBC R2 Folk awards, plus a fistful of Scottish NaTrads awards for everything from best album, best singer and best live act to best original song. He has worked with many excellent musicians, including Jack Bruce, Eddi Reader, Mark Knopfler, Jerry Douglas and Roddy Woomble, and is a member of the beautiful multi-media project Spell Songs: The Lost Words. Currently, Kris is preparing for a series of Lau events around the UK, writing music for a new solo album and learning some old tunes for reasons he can’t quite explain.
Seb Lowe

Seb Lowe

13 Apr 2026 - 25 Apr 2026

Seb Lowe has burst out of nowhere. (Okay Saddleworth…) with an upcoming 7 monitor mini-album that’s excellent for the second. Good in that this can be a younger child with a head stuffed with phrases which are his weapons and telling his fact and a guitar that could be a machine gun of riffing. That is the teenage frontline with poetry and scrubbed acoustic guitar uneven chords and a poetic indignant voice stuffed with ardour and melody.

Aberdeen Comedy Festival 2026: Fred MacAulay - Good Evening !
For reasons outwith his control, Fred had to cancel his 2025 Edinburgh Fringe shows and his Autumn Tour – “Fred MacAulay: No podcast – LIVE”. Now, thankfully, due to reasons completely within his control, he is now preparing to hit the road in 2026 with the 2025 show repackaged and updated and simply called “GOOD EVENING!”. So what happened? Simply put: Fred suffered a freak accident andthen an unrelated prostate cancer diagnosis. Is there humour in either of these? In the words of a famous Scotland footballer “Maybes Aye, Maybes Naw”. Now in the fourth decade of his comedy career, Fred MacAulay still loves being on stage doing what he does best… quite simply it’s STAND-UP and his appetite for performing is as strong as it was all those years ago when he took a massive side-ways step from a career as an accountant and Company Secretary into the world of entertainment. A career which has taken him all over the world (apart from South America) (and some other continents) where he has worked in television and radio. But it’s always been and always will be as a stand-up that Fred wants to be remembered. It’s because of stand-up that he’s been asked to do all the ‘celebrity’ things that he’s done. He might talk about some of them, but he’s more likely to talk about what is current – having been a guest on the famous Radio 4 News Quiz show for almost 18 years he has some previous in this respect. And as a family man he’ll no doubt be talking about the latest stage of that aspect of life ….. grandchildren. “I can remember the joy of having our kids just after I’d embarked on my career in comedy ….. what a great source of material they were! I mean, that wasn’t the main reason for having kids… but I hope the same applies to the grandkids!” Fred hates the word ‘celebrity’ yet he’s done Celebrity Mastermind (twice) and Celebrity Masterchef (once) and who can forget his Celebrity Fame Academy for Comic Relief (Answer: hopefully everyone). Asked twice to do ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here’ Fred said No! “I’m waiting for the Scottish version ….. “So You Think You’re A Celebrity, Get The ★★★★ Out Of Here!” Asked for a snappy quote for publicity, Fred sent this: “I really hope that a lot of people come out to see this tour. I think it’s the best show I’ve done since the last one.” Here’s what others have said: ‘ONE OF THE BEST STAND-UP COMEDIANS BRITAIN HAS EVER PRODUCED’ – Richard Osman, Pointless “FRED MACAULAY IS AN ELITE COMEDIAN” – Kevin Bridges ‘RIB-ACHINGLY FUNNY, ONE OF THE FUNNIEST MEN ALIVE’ – Sunday Times ‘A MASTERCLASS’ – The Evening Express 16+ Starts 7.30pm

Ivo Graham: Orange Crush

Ivo Graham: Orange Crush

29 May 2026 - 29 May 2026

What is the best orange thing in the world? Aperol spritz? Sunsets? Claudia Winkleman? You probably never stopped to think about what your favourite orange thing was, but you’re damn sure thinking about it now. Maybe it’s marmalade, or maybe it’s Garfield, or maybe it’s the album ‘Channel Orange’ by Frank Ocean. There’s just so many to consider. And no one on earth has considered more of them than Ivo Graham. Ivo Graham has always been a fan of orange things. Baked beans. Sriracha mayo. The Tiger Who Came To Tea. But in 2025, a series of emotional days in his favourite colour prompted Ivo to commit harder than ever to the bit: colour-coordinating his life for his daughter, for his mother, for his football team, and, he desperately hopes, for your entertainment. Come and help this orange lunatic make his orange list, in a show about hats, haters, hometown heroes, and whether Hare Krishnas are better than Hobnobs. ‘Few stand-ups can waffle so winningly’ The Telegraph ‘Graham in glorious technicolour’ The Guardian Age Recommendation: 14+ Start Time: 7:30pm

3 Apr 2026 - 28 Dec 2026

PorkPie stand proudly at the heart of the UK's modern ska revival, blending the fire of classic 2-Tone with their own unmistakable energy. Over the last three years the band have stepped firmly into their stride, releasing two full-length albums and an EP that have cemented their reputation as one of the most dynamic ska outfits on the circuit. Their self-titled EP 'Skandemic' marked a turning point for Porkpie, showcasing sharp songwriting, powerful brass arrangements, and the band's signature ability to fuse social bite with irresistible rhythm. Building on that momentum, 2025 saw the release of their acclaimed second album '9 On the Tiles', a record that broadened their sound while staying true to the ska roots that first inspired them. The album's standout single 'Bones' became a breakout success and was picked up as a favourite by Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6 Music, earning the band new listeners across the UK and beyond. Known for their electric stage presence, polished musicianship, and a commitment to making every gig feel like a celebration, PorkPie continue to rise through the ska scene with confidence and flair. In April 2026, they'll bring their unmistakable stomp to the London International Ska Festival, appearing alongside reggae and roots luminaries Misty in Roots and The Cimarons a milestone that marks just how far the band have come. With momentum on their side and a loyal, ever-growing fanbase, PorkPie are skanking forward with purpose-ready to bring their brass, bounce, and big-hearted spirit to audiences everywhere.

The Singer

Dundee Rep Theatre and Solar Bear, in collaboration with Aberdeen Performing Arts, present: Music & Lyrics by KT Tunstall. Book by Cora Bissett. Directed by Cora Bissett Based on the short film The Singer by Cora Bissett and Jamie Rea The Singer is a bold, new, thrilling piece of gig-theatre about Joe, a deaf artist who “sings” with his hands, and Andy, a washed-up musician hungry for a comeback. Joe experiences music viscerally and physically, feeling rhythm through his body and crafting lyrics that pulse with life and exhilarating originality. When their unlikely creative partnership sparks something extraordinary, ambition and belonging collide. But as prejudice and the music industry’s ableist blind spots close in, their bond is pushed to breaking point. Featuring music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winning KT Tunstall, The Singer is a powerful story of music, identity and connection, and the fight for a deaf artist to be truly seen and heard. Age Recommendation: 10+ (Some Mild Swearing) Performed in both Spoken English and British Sign Language

The Complete Stone Roses

4 Apr 2026 - 29 Dec 2026

The Complete Stone Roses are now one of the UK’s most well-known, most seen and most successful tribute bands. Selling out venues across the UK and Ireland regularly, they have helped to carry on the music of one of the UK’s most influential bands - The Stone Roses. The Stone Roses played a pivotal role in the history of the UK’s indie music scene. Famous hits like Fools Gold, I Am The Resurrection and I Wanna Be Adored are as recognisable now as were the heyday of Madchester and the Hacienda, the cultural icons from which the original band were born. The Completes, as they are affectionately referenced to by their fans, play to acclaim both from fans themselves, the press, and even original Stone Roses band members. Former Stone Roses bass player Mani, has not only just appeared as a warm up DJ for the band on the odd occasion but has also played onstage with them as their guest bassist playing She Bangs The Drums on more than a few times when he was touring about with the band. Mani says “they do our songs real justice. At times, they play even better than we did.”

Hothouse Flowers

Hothouse Flowers

3 Nov 2026 - 27 Dec 2026

Since the release of their last CD, 'Into Your Heart' Hothouse Flowers have been playing steadily around Ireland, America, Great Britain, Japan and Europe. Their shows last between two and three hours depending on the level of fever in the room. Most recently their sound has been enhanced and reinvigorated by the return of Peter O’Toole on bass, bouzouki and vocals. Drumming with the band these last ten years is Dave Clarke. Dave has been a drummer in Dublin since the beginning. His commitment to the beat is mesmerizing. His style has been a force in the direction of Hothouse Flowers today. Also playing with the band these days is Dorset man Martin Brunsden on double bass and backing vocals. His musicality adds yet another dimension to the ever evolving sound of the band. There is an unpredictable energy in the band that harkens back to the 'Risk' days. They call upon their grand repertoire to create a show that is unique to the time and place. No two shows are the same. Improvisation can come at any point and allow the men express their brightest and their darkest influences. 'Rock and Roll is not about safety or politeness, it is not about perfection either. It is expression and it is spirit.' Humour is also never far from a Hothouse Flowers night. They do not take themselves seriously however, there is no mistaking the musical integrity among them as they open up to each other in musical dialogue. Fiachna, Liam and Peter are traditional musicians. This allows for moments of ancestral connection. What was a second before a Doors-like workout, becomes an earnest and a timeless offering to the memory of Currachaí na Tra Báine. A song inherited by Fiachna describing the blow inflicted upon a community and a family due to drowning. This moment and moments like these set the Flowers apart from almost any other band of their time and trade. They are carriers of Culture and all of what that entails. Hothouse Flowers came out of tough times. They played the streets and brought the streets to the stages of the world. Individually Fiachna and Liam are enjoying a broadening of their horizons. Fiachna has been producing and presenting radio and television programmes and working as a composer of music for television. Liam has been collaborating with the Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre Company. Still Hothouse Flowers has not yet fulfilled her destiny. The possibilities are endless. The will is there. Ni fada go bhfeicfear.
The Wildhearts

The Wildhearts

2 Apr 2026 - 31 May 2026

For 3 decades The Wildhearts have remained at the forefront of the British rock scene. From their classic debut album ‘Earth Vs’ (voted number one album of the year in Kerrang! back in 1993, and number 20 in the best rock albums of all time in a Kerrang! Special in 2006), through to now with the release of ‘Renaissance Men’, their first full-length studio album in 10 years, their creative output and legendary live shows have been second to none. Although the 90’s saw the band covered like a living soap opera in the press with tales of sex, drugs, bust ups, fights (both with labels and themselves), splits, more drugs and a lot more controversy (one such incident including entering and then proceeding to trash the Kerrang! Offices!), the recent years have seen the band more focused than ever before and firing on all cylinders. The Wildhearts and their incendiary shows have cemented their reputation and legacy as one of the best bands the UK has ever produced. Welcoming back their long-time bandmate and brother Danny McCormack on bass; Ginger and CJ on guitars and vocals, with Ritch Battersby on drums released their new album ‘Renaissance Men’ on May 3rd to critical acclaim.

Tom McRae

Tom McRae

2 Oct 2026 - 1 Nov 2026

British singer-songwriter Tom Mcrae, along with his regular touring musicians ‘The Standing Band’, has been quietly moving up the ranks of the most respected songwriters in the world today after releasing 7 critically acclaimed studio albums over the last 15 years and writing for a variety of artists and singers. Mcrae’s eponymous debut album in 2000 was nominated for a The Mercury Prize, a Q Magazine Award, and a Brit, and the subsequent two years of touring cemented his reputation as one the most entertaining and powerful artists touring today. Mcrae’s second album, Just Like Blood, released to wide acclaim, with every track being licensed for TV and film use, his style of music fitting perfectly the darker output of LA’s film studios. Since then, Essex-born Mcrae has released five more albums, relocated internationally three times and set up his own label Buzztree Studios in Cornwall- and there’s no sign that he’s going to be slowing down anytime soon. Mcrae and his tour mates, The Standing Band, a collection of incredible musicians and loyal friends, released their latest record ‘Did I Sleep and Miss The Boarder’ this Autumn. The album and its accompanying tour have further added to the cult that is rapidly springing up around this talented and dedicated artist and his ragtag band. For an artist working in a genre often considered by the music press to be ‘sensitive and self-indulgent’, Mcrae possesses the talent to blow the roof off a venue with his passionate performances, as well as the innate ability forge a strong humorous bond with his audience.

Hypnotic physical theatre and dazzling production design combine to tell the tale of a doomsday cult, and what happens when belief is shattered. In a small town in the American Midwest, the disciples of a suburban housewife are convinced that the world is ending and that they alone know the truth that can save humanity. Discover the true story of the world’s first UFO doomsday cult, inspired by a groundbreaking 1950s study into the concept of cognitive dissonance. Award-winning Scottish ensemble Groupwork combines astonishing visuals with powerful movement to create a timely performance investigating what happens when cold, hard facts meet the chaotic power of belief. Described as ‘near-perfect’ by The Scotsman, Groupwork blends movement, voiceover, music and stage and video design to present a woozy, melancholy tale of religious sects, clandestine observers and collective need. Vicki Manderson and Finn den Hertog’s claustrophobic staging combines with Lewis den Hertog’s visuals and the near wordless interplay of five actor-dancers to create a thrilling exploration of the crisis that follows the shattering of belief.
