Goon

Goon

21 Mar 2026 - 29 Mar 2026

We always think we have a plan. We will walk into a situation with a purpose and an idea, only to find that life has other things in store for us. Goon frontman and creative mastermind, Kenny Becker, had a record’s worth of new songs ready to record, studio time booked, and a vision for how it would all play out. But weeks into the recording, life hit him like a lightning bolt in the form of the sudden dissolution of his marriage and his subsequent psychic spiral. Blindsided by heartbreak, the music Becker had written for the record began to take on new meaning. What had come from joy was now something closer to agony. In the friction of that moment, Becker pushed his band-and his songwriting-into stranger territory. Facing down the pain and disappointment of life, the band created a masterpiece with their new album, Dream 3. Presented by DUST. This is an 18+ event
Ailbhe Reddy

Ailbhe Reddy

21 Apr 2026 - 21 Apr 2026

Ailbhe Reddy has announced details of her new album Endless Affair the follow-up to her critically acclaimed Choice Music Prize-nominated (Best Album) debut album Personal History and shared the video for new single Shitshow. Endless Affair is due out on 17 March 2023. 2022 has already seen Ailbhe Reddy make her debut at The Great Escape, Visions Festival and Latitude Festival, winning great swathes of new fans along the way. New single Shitshow a humbling account of a party's aftermath set to fuzzed-up, down-trodden guitars officially heralds the announcement of her new album. Ailbhe comments on the single: Shitshow came from a lyric I played with for a few months which was my god, look at the state of me, this is so embarrassing, wont you take me home It's kind of addressing another person and kind of addressing myself from the perspective of the morning after. I had those lyrics for a while and while working with Tommy McLaughlin on the record he jokingly said we should call the album Shitshow and I vowed to work that word into a lyric so it perfectly fit into this song. It's about looking back on a night out with regret while also addressing and apologising to an ex-partner about my antics. The first verse is to myself and the second verse is to someone else. It's kind of a tongue in cheek examination of a bad hangover. Tell me how did I get here This endless pitiful affair. It's quite the lyric for Ailbhe to open her new album Endless Affair with, but one that smartly captures the central idea it addresses: the challenges we face in letting go and accepting finality. With her new album Ailbhe poses these ideas across a spectrum covering the playful and up-beat to the sombre and heart-wrenching, plotting the album's path in a way that mirrors life's own evolution from the care-free to the serious. Its opening run of tracks in particular single Shitshow and Inhaling crave revelry and reflect on the wilder side of a youth increasingly viewed in the rear-view mirror. The likes of A Mess soar atop a swell of fuzzed-up indie-rock and a chorus of joyous hollers, while the come-down hits on the quietly brutal Last To Leave. Once the final notes of the album's arresting centrepiece Shoulder Blades ring out, there is a palpable sense that the struggle to let go is shifting away from the backdrop of the party and into that of relationships and mortality. This is where Endless Affair leaves the party and matures further into a story of more certain endings and letting go of life. When the album reaches its penultimate song, the stunningly vivid Pray For Me penned after the passing of Ailbhe's grandmother the strength of her song writing ability is laid out starkly. She instinctively straddles the line between emotional honesty and vulnerability, while delivering tongue in cheek moments, youthful stupidity, anger, defiance and heartache. Endless Affair exists as many of these things and leaves us with the final thought that we also do: you can be a party animal, a f★★★ up, a good partner, a bad partner, sensitive, unkind, a good daughter, and a bad one. All of this is rendered impressively in Endless Affair.
The Ukrainians

The Ukrainians

8 Apr 2026 - 4 Jun 2026

The Ukrainians’ unrelenting energy and cross-category appeal has meant that they have wowed audiences at more than a thousand festivals and clubs throughout Europe and North America over the last three decades, including both Glastonbury and Womad in the UK. As well as exploring the traditional Ukrainian folk repertoire The Ukrainians play Ukrainian language versions of Western pop songs, including their brilliantly danceable interpretations of classic tracks by Joy Division, T-Rex, The Sex Pistols, The Smiths and The Velvet Underground. The majority of their songs are self written in their unique cross-over style. The Ukrainians’ most recent, and arguably best album, ‘Summer in Lviv’ deals with themes that reflect the Ukraine of today: conflict, populations on the move, immigration, and a struggle for identity. It is also - like all Ukrainians’ albums - bursting with fabulous danceable tunes!

Charlie Parr

Charlie Parr

19 May 2026 - 26 May 2026

An easily confused and very shy individual, Charlie Parr has been traveling around singing his songs ever since leaving Austin Minnesota in the 1980's in search of Spider John Koerner, whom he found about 100 miles north at the Viking Bar one Sunday night. The experience changed his life, made him more or less unemployable, and brings us to now: 13 recordings, 250 shows a year or more, 200,000 miles on a well broke in Kia, and a nasty fear of heights. Resonator fueled folk songs from Duluth Minnesota.

Matt Pryor (of The Get Up Kids)

Matt Pryor (of The Get Up Kids)

30 Apr 2026 - 8 May 2026

Kansas City, Missouri native, Matt Pryor, is a household name for anyone who was attuned to the second and third waves of emo. His genre-defining band, The Get Up Kids, were among a small and legendary group that has shaped the musical landscape for years. However, after growing tired of the boundaries it so needlessly applied, the internationally recognised frontrunners eventually transcended the genre with their later albums and found themselves at home with a more indie sound. Most recently, on his latest album under his given name, Matt Pryor has presented the world with The Salton Sea, and it is abundantly clear that this is the continuation of a decades-long love affair with music and being outright obsessed with song-writing. Steadfast fans of Pryor's prolific career will also find themselves treated to a style that is more reminiscent of the works of Paul Westerberg and Red House Painters, that is of course laden with Pryor's signature style, whose DNA is deeply rooted in artists like Elvis Costello and The Afghan Whigs.

TIDETIED

TIDETIED

19 Mar 2026 - 28 Mar 2026

TIDETIED, formerly known as WHITEHORSE, is the Sheffield-based 5-piece rock band formed in October 2024. After self-releasing their first two singles they quickly caught the attention of BBC Introducing followed by plays on BBC 6 Music, Radio X, and KEXP, and have built their early reputation along with their live shows as a viscerally channelled swirl of feeling marked by poetic lyricism and gripping musicality and mood. Born under the shadows of the disused colliery towers of the north of England, TIDETIED have effortlessly cemented an unapologetic understanding of who they are and what they are not and have already begun to gather momentum and sell out shows.
An Experiment On A Bird In The Air Pump
After 15 years away, An Experiment On A Bird In The Air Pump return to the stage with renewed power and urgency, and the same uncompromising spirit that made them one of London’s most fearless underground bands. Formed in 2008 and named after the Joseph Wright of Derby painting, the band broke boundaries from the start - with no designated front person, drummer or bassist, and an instinctive approach to switching roles mid-performance. Each member’s voice and instrument carries equal weight, creating a sound that is communal, raw and rhythmically hypnotic. Composed of British-Filipino twin sisters C-Bird and X-Bird, and D-Bird, who is of British Nepalese-Indian descent, the band channel no wave, punk, soul and grunge into a stripped-back fusion of bass, drums and voice that evokes both ritual and rebellion. An Experiment On A Bird In The Air Pump have previously collaborated with Steve Albini on an unreleased album, and recorded EPs with Steve Mackey (Pulp) and Tim Burgess (The Charlatans). Their performances have been described as magnetic, confrontational, and impossible to categorise. The band will play a headline show on Thursday 23 April 2026 at The Lexington, with a new single set for release in April 2026. The event is promoted by CLUB.THE.MAMMOTH. 'In times when everything seems sewn up, we need someone to tear it apart. In an age of smoothly sellable corporate indie, we need someone to take a knife to the facade... the band stepping up to that challenge are An Experiment On A Bird In The Air Pump.' Simon Price, The Independent 'Bad Seeds meet The Shangri-Las nightmare. A No-Wave Ronettes....Bewitching.' NME 'Their sound retains something of this primal, basic immediacy, thick, low and urgent. A thousand amateur musical Freudians will tell you that if the guitar is the male instrument then bass, drums, earthbound and heavy rhythm is the female principle.' The Quietus 'With a tendency to switch places and take turns behind the mic, they create a sparse, monochrome voodoo rumble, all thick, low, booming bass and primitive tribal rhythms over which they bellow indecipherable lyrics-cum-war-cries, mysterious mantras of female empowerment, like Spice Girls had they teamed up with Southern Death Cult. The Jesus and Mary Chain meet Kim Gordon in a post-apocalyptic world. Watch them through your fingers." The Guardian No front person. No hierarchy. Just bass, drums, and defiance. Golomb

28 Aug 2026 - 28 Aug 2026

Molded in the fertile rock crescent of Columbus, Ohio, three-piece Golomb (rhymes with Column) channel Midwest friction into an album that seeks to find a genuine connection. The band boasts not one, but two bonded dynamics, something of an aberration among most trios. Siblings Xenia (bass) and Hawken (drums) tie down the rhythm section with songwriter/guitarist Mickey Shuman and Xenia turning their tags to spouse after years of dating. The close bonds between the members have fed into the band's process family and friends first and band second, leveraging years of trust to turn The Beat Goes On into an album that never wavers in its sincerity. Bounding through bluster like Loop one minute and hunkered down like Pixies pummeling pop's soft spots at Fort Apache the next. The underlying buzz on Real Power dips a few miles south of Columbus to channel Dayton's favorite sons, stitching together some clear-eyed clamor from the GBV playbook. The band lays it bare on Dog with a slow slink that builds toward the singed elegance of Spiritualized and a lyrical labyrinth that's cut and pasted into a Burroughs-esque blur of rock motifs. The song peaks in pure maelstrom with a glorious glut of feedback foaming out of the speakers. The familiar specter of The Velvets rears its head in the shambolic beat of the title track, and Other Side Of The Earth gets gooey with dub, but never loses the band's ability to feed the fray. Then, they wind guitar around their rhythms with the grace of early Built To Spill on Be Here Now, letting the sax twirls of Henry Ross send the song into the ether. Golomb was formed in 2019 by Mickey and Xenia. The couple briefly moved out of Ohio, before coming back in 2020 and settling into Xenia's folks house. Hawken joined the fold and the trio began a working relationship with engineer Keith Hanlon, capping off a series of self-released recordings with the 3-song Love EP in 2024. Hanlon is behind the board for The Beat Goes On, recorded at Musicol and Secret Studio in Columbus, showcasing a bigger, bolder dynamic that captured the band's live energy to tape. The album was then mixed by Drew Vandenberg at Chase Park Transductions in Athens, Georgia.

20 Jun 2026 - 20 Jun 2026

The Del Fuegos are an American rock and roll band. Formed in 1981, the group came of age in Boston and its members still consider themselves products of one of the city’s many musical golden ages. After signing with Slash Records, home of X, the Blasters, Los Lobos, Gun Club and more, the band released three records on the label, including their charting songs “Backseat Nothing,” “Don’t Run Wild” and “I Still Want You.” Touring internationally with acts including Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, ZZ Top, and INXS, the group made friends and fans among such notables as Robert Plant, Sam Phillips, Tom Petty and comedian Steven Wright. The relationship between brothers Warren Zanes and Dan Zanes, then and now, has been described as both “fractious” and “electric,” but the brothers, along with founding band member Tom Lloyd and drummer Woody Geissmann, have gone on to notable post-band successes. Dan won a Grammy and continues to record with his wife Claudia for Smithsonian/Folkways. Warren, a New York Times best-selling author of Tom Petty’s biography and more and Grammy-nominated documentary producer of Twenty Feet from Stardom and more, is an executive producer of the cinematic adaptation of his book, Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska. Tom, living in California, earned a Ph.D from CalTech and quietly remains the most successful of the bunch. Woody, a Boston-area fixture, founded Right Turn, an organization focused on recovery. Alice Costello

Alice Costello

8 Oct 2026 - 16 Oct 2026

Alice Costelloe is breaking free on her upcoming EP 'When It's The Time'. The first release under her full name (previously operating under the Al Costelloe abbreviation) and her first having signed to much-heralded indie label Moshi Moshi Records, 'When It's The Time' - out 25th October finds Costelloe skilfully rendering nuanced emotions rooted in desire, and death. Sonically, the EP presents a captivating progression - introducing elements of art-pop (in no small part due to the EP's producer Mike Lindsay's "treasure chest of synths") to her optimistic, soothing indie-pop. Thematically, the EP poses questions about mortality, and "how to make yourself a better life in a world that often feels apocalyptic".Balancing a playful sense of optimism against the looming spectre of death; pillowy synths and celestial organs provide a warming backdrop for Alice's pristine voice and deft examinations of humanity. Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter

Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter

19 Apr 2026 - 27 Apr 2026

Jesse Sykes and The Sweet Hereafter is the result of an enduring musical alchemy between singer-songwriter Jesse Sykes and guitarist Phil Wandscher, which began in Seattle, Washington in 2001. Blending folk, blues, orchestral pop and various psychedelic stylings, their sound culminates in what the New York Times has described as 'spellbound music, rapt in fatalism and sorrow. Known for her dusky, otherworldly vocals and lyrics that touch on the metaphysical, she was once described by MAGNET as being less like a performer and more like a sage and whether the sonic setting is one of doomy distortion or fragile finger picking, Sykes remains a truly unique vocalist whose dusky voice is capable of imparting a transcendent, almost spiritual quality to almost any tune it touches. The band has released five critically acclaimed albums; Reckless Burning (2002), Oh, My Girl (2005) and Like, Love, Lust and the Open Halls of the Soul (2007), while their fourth album Marble Son (2011) was released through Thirty Tigers in Nashville, on their own US imprint (Station Grey). Most Recently they have released, Forever, Ive Been Being Born, UNCUT magazine has featured it as Americana Record Of The Month calling it rapturous psyche-folk melancholia. Prior to his work with Jesse Sykes, Phil Wandscher help co-found the influential alt- country band Whiskeytown with Ryan Adams, in which he appears on the groups first three records, co-writing some of the bands most beloved songs, most notably songs on Stranger's Almanac, which many say was also arguably the band's most beloved album. Jesse Sykes also plays in a band with guitarist and Grammy winning songwriter Dave Alvin (a project called the The Third Mind, on Yep Roc Records,) alongside members of Camper Van Beethoven, Counting Crows and Richard Thompson's band.
Dear Nora + Tai Haf Heb Drigolyn

Dear Nora + Tai Haf Heb Drigolyn

22 Apr 2026 - 22 Apr 2026

DEAR NORA is an ever-evolving indie-pop band fronted by songwriter/producer Katy Davidson, and features a rotating cast of collaborators. Davidson was born in Arizona and has also lived in Oregon and California. The energy, intensity, and vastness of the western United States landscape imbue the songwriting and recordings. Dear Nora has existed in two distinct eras 1999-2008 and 2017-present with roughly a decade break in the middle (the Lost Years) in which Davidson fronted various side projects, and played session guitar/keyboards in the bands YACHT and Gossip. Dear Nora's early music leans more pop-punk, DIY, confessional, youthful. The contemporary music leans more poetic, expansive, genre-bending, wise. The through-lines between Dear Nora's two eras are: melodic hooks, vocal harmonies, and lyrics about time, space, capitalism, the internet, daily life vérité, ancient things, real vs. unreal or surreal, and all kinds of relationships. Partially because Dear Nora's early years happened before the rise of smartphones and social media (prior to hyper digital documentation), and because very little content survives this era aside from the analog recordings, the group is often described as legendary" (as in, "legend/myth"). Rediscovered via streaming platforms and word of mouth, Dear Nora's music has influenced many young songwriters. https://dearnora.bandcamp.com/ TAI HAF HEB DRIGOLYN are a band from Wales. Built atop of a DIY Ethos, THHD have a fantastic ability to merge their musical brain with real life surroundings, perfectly represented by Ein Albwm Cyntaf Ni recorded straight onto tape directly sampling the sounds that they recorded over. It's rare that music so genuine and human arrives with this quality and quantity; this is a special act that has to be seen to be believed. THHD are obsessed with the elephant 6 collective, and as such has members spread across the country, they also stumble after the footsteps of R. Pollard and D. R. Green Note Presents... Dustbowl Revival
It's a fresh and exciting record, a celebration of spirit and soul. ★★★★ ALL MUSIC Dustbowl Revival are a seven-piece Americana Soul band from Venice, CA. Their fourth studio album, which is self-titled, was produced by Flogging Molly founding member and Grammy winning producer Ted Hutt, and features Grammy winning blues legend Keb Mo. The album was released last summer via Signature Sounds Recordings to glowing reviews, five radio chart debuts, and two Billboard chart debuts on the Heatseekers Chart and Americana-Folk Chart. While the band launched with an old-time style and deeper bluegrass roots, they recently departed toward a more modern soul sound, still with their mixture of New Orleans sounds, Americana, a little blues, and roots-rock. The album has over 3 million streams on Spotify and the band had 260K+ monthly listeners for six months. In late 2017 they were honored with a special night sharing their story and music at The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. From Outside Lands Music Festival: It was an old-time medicine show featuring the kind of roots musicwhose Americana swing was so fun I went back to see them again the next day. Rolling Stone Over the last five years Dustbowl has toured over 200 days per year and become known for their free-flowing and joyous live shows, combining their funk rhythm and brass section with a fast-picking string band section. Theyve opened for bands as diverse as Lake Street Dive, Trombone Shorty and The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, toured China as a guest of the state department and headlined festivals like Delfest, Floydfest, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Bergenfest (Norway) and Tonder Festival (Denmark). The band received a big wave of attention with their music video that featured famous actor Dick Van Dyke for Never Had to Go, which garnered over 10 million cumulative views. Subsequently the band, song, and video were featured in HBO doc, If Youre Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast which stars Jerry Seinfeld, Dick Van Dyke, and Mel Brooks. AWARDED BEST LIVE BAND IN LA! In a city like Los Angeles, home to musical stars in nearly every known genre, handing out the Best Live Band title is not easy. But the free-thinking local collective Dustbowl Revival's upbeat, old-school, All-American sonic safaris exemplify everything shows should be: hot, spontaneous, engaging and, best of all, a pleasure to hear. Marlon Funaki

Marlon Funaki

27 May 2026 - 27 May 2026

Communion ONE presents: Marlon Funaki Born and raised 40 miles east of Los Angeles and hailing from a multicultural, music-loving family, singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Marlon Funaki has long been fascinated by the exploration of sound. From a young age, Funaki was obsessed with the music his father played around the house while doing household chores and voraciously absorbing everything within earshot. Hearing bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, My Bloody Valentine, and Pink Floyd, along with reggae, ‘70s Afro-funk, and ‘90s hip-hop, became significant influences, rather than the music he had played as a middle school student in symphonic and marching bands. As much as he loved playing his first instrument, drums, Funaki needed a creative outlet to explore the sounds he was interested in. Eventually, he left those restrictive band structures to join the school jazz band, which allowed at least a little more creative space where he’d play until he graduated high school. “Once I left band, I started digging into my own ideas or the sounds that I liked,” he says. Following the purchase of his first electric guitar (for which he sold his Xbox) when he was a sophomore in high school, Funaki became completely immersed with playing music. “Playing guitar was way cooler than gaming and it became an addiction,” he says, “my real passion. After learning guitar, I had to teach myself how to play all the instruments on my own.” Using the skills he learned as an avid gamer, Funaki pored over each note. He began mastering bass, drums, keys and started composing his own original material. After high school, Funaki started busking in downtown Redlands with a friend as often as he could, in hopes they would collect enough money in their guitar cases to fund their ride home. It often worked. People began to stop and listen as if entranced by what they heard. That became “enough of a success” for him to decide that making music was now his chosen full-time vocation. Funaki landed a job working at the local Guitar Center which allowed him to buy instruments and recording equipment and immediately invested endless hours into learning how to produce, mix, master, and record by himself. He took what he learned from listening to his father jam and started weaving his own disparate influences and tastes into something all his own. “My father never forced music on me,” he says. “I adapted and started loving it on my own. Eventually, I kind of branched out, did my own research to discover things that meant something to me.” Funaki’s skills and mastery of instrumentation blossomed exponentially. Once his brother moved out of the family home, he built a make-shift recording studio in the vacant bedroom; his prowess and confidence grew. So much so that he’d break and blend various styles to create a distinctly personal sound signature of his own design. With the wide-eyed motivation of a sonic scientist and the control of a skilled surgeon, Funaki was eager to finally deliver his songs to the unknowing world. He set aside four weeks off from his Guitar Center gig to immerse himself in his studio only taking breaks to eat and maybe sleep. He came away with enough good material which would become his first EP. In 2020, he self-released his debut 6-song EP, The Universal Language followed by his first full-length album Monterey Village, in 2022. Listeners around the globe would soon discover and embrace his ethereal yet emotive brand of floaty psychedelia, mixing equal parts atmospherics with youthful, guitar-driven energy into cinematic songflow. New tracks continued to follow, along with self-financed coast-to-coast tours powered by word of mouth buzzing about his passionate live shows that filled house and basement parties, which grew into warehouse shows and soon propelled onto the national club circuit, where every show would sell out well in advance. The word was no longer underground. Now signed to Warner Records, Funaki follows his own singular path, constantly searching and exploring new soundscapes that will continue to evolve and push the limits of creative expression free from any kind of genrefication. “I still don't think I've truly found my definitive, specific sound,” he says. “Yet I don't know if I ever will, which I think could be a good thing.” He craves being in a studio creating, allowing him to connect with his true self, free from restrictions, with only a pure passion to explore and grow in all directions that feel right to Funaki. “In a studio is where I can think and be the most vulnerable person I can be,” he says. “I can channel that into my art and my music.” A magnetic, engaging, natural on-stage personality backed by an equally potent band of like-minded friends that have the ability to kinetically respond to his compositions, Funaki has become one of the hottest and sharpest young musicians to emerge onto the indie scene. As much as he loves being on the road, creating and composing is where he’s at his most comfortable. It shows in his meticulous attention to detail, which has been channeled in his recordings. Funaki estimates that when composing his first recordings, he would dissect every aspect of each track and play every instrument himself in search of a perfect sound. “I'm a hermit crab,” he says. “I like to be in my studio. I love to make music. This is what I do when I’m not on tour.” After spending the better part of the past couple of years on the road playing to packed clubs filled with enthusiastic young fans, Funaki is excited to return to his Southern California home studio preparing his next set of genre-melding releases. His unique blend of soulful, psychedelic indie rock, with R&B, hip-hop and flourishes of shoegaze and jazz allows his muse to move in any/all directions at once and still come away sounding only like Marlon Funaki. His Warner Records debut track is a dreamy, Latin groove-infused “Let You In,” set for a January 9th release. In the months ahead, his yet-untitled forthcoming major label EP, finds the artist unafraid to explore all sonic possibilities, including the proggy “Skin,” are texturized, dizzying soul-driven journeys, while the deliberate melodies of “Trillion Things” and “Meant to Be” highlight Funaki’s lyrical prowess. “It still amazes me to this day that something that I made in my bedroom traveled this far,” he says of his rising popularity with an ever-growing global fan base. “It’s cool to see how far that music travels.” This is just the beginning of the next exciting chapter in a truly exciting musical universe. Weird Nightmare

Weird Nightmare

2 Sept 2026 - 5 Sept 2026

Every band worth its salt has a member who worked in a record store. In METZ, the fearless noise rock trio who released five full-length albums on Sub Pop between 2012 and 2024, it was singer and guitarist Alex Edkins. Slinging indie rock and hardcore records in his hometown record store while attending university, Edkins became an ardent student of rock 'n' roll; from the psychedelic 1960s to the DIY 1990s and beyond. The new Weird Nightmare album, Hoopla, mixes and matches these wide-ranging influences in fun, exhilarating combinations, showcasing his sophisticated musical mind. Bursting to life with hooks and earworms. Co-produced by Edkins and Spoon's Jim Eno at Seth Manchester's Machines With Magnets in Providence, RI. Edkins expands Weird Nightmare's dimensions to new heights, gilding the direct emotions of his straightforward songwriting with musical textures such as piano, bells, and castanets, giving these well-wrought tunes a shiny luster. Following the previously released single "Forever Elsewhere," which Stereogum called "... an undeniably infectious power-pop anthem", Weird Nightmare has shared an official video for their new song, "Might See You There," which was directed by CC Mulligan. Edkins shares about the track: "'Might See You There' is about going back to visit my hometown and being flooded with teenage nostalgia. Small-town boredom and isolation almost feel like a gift in today's highly connected world. I feel fortunate for that time spent idly, down in the basement, learning the entire Rancid 'Let's Go' album on guitar with my friends. I find it easy to romanticise that time in my life, even though I was, without question, a disgruntled kid who badly wanted to escape my surroundings and see the world. "I was listening to a lot of the Irish bands The Undertones and Protex while writing this one, and I think there is a fair bit of their influence. Just the simplicity and big bar chords mostly. Seth Manchester and I were very into the idea of adding piano and bells to the outro, akin to the Phil Spector-produced 'End of the Century' album by The Ramones. The great Julianna Riolino sings with me on the choruses, too!" Age restriction: 14+ / U16s accompanied by an adult
Linda Smith & Band + Trash Kit

Linda Smith & Band + Trash Kit

20 Aug 2026 - 20 Aug 2026

LINDA SMITH is a pioneer of home recording who self released her music originally on cassette starting in 1987. In the early 90's, indie labels Slumberland and Harriet Records expanded her reach with the release of two seven inch EPs. Recently, Brooklyn label Captured Tracks has reissued two complete albums on vinyl and she has begun to tour in the US and internationally for the first time. Upset The Rhythm released a recent split single between Smith and The Smashing Times last year too. Paste magazine called Linda Smith a hidden treasure of America's pop underground, while Jangle Pop Hub has written that essentially this is the best bedroom pop you are ever likely to hear, directly from an age that did not really know what to do with it. For this rare UK show Linda will be joined by her live band. https://lindasmith2.bandcamp.com/ TRASH KIT are Ray Aggs (guitar, vocals), Rachel Horwood (drums, vocals) and Clémentine March (bass). Three deeply creative individuals who play in a multitude of other groups including Bas Jan and Sacred Paws, not to mention their solo outings. Their songs once succinct, patchwork post-punk numbers of an honest diary-like nature now tussle more with long-form songwriting, expeditious polyphony and cascades of sung-spoke vocals. Although Trash Kit have their forebears in bands like Sleater Kinney, The Ex and The Raincoats, their sound is still very much their own take on facing forwards and relies as much on the naturalism of an internalised folk music as on their sincerity of vision. Since forming in 2009, Trash Kit have released three albums for Upset The Rhythm and a selection of singles. Trash Kit's approach to life as with music is one of openness, inclusion and potential and most recent album Horizon has this in dutiful abundance. https://upsettherhythm.bandcamp.com/album/horizon
Voxtrot

Voxtrot

25 Sept 2026 - 26 Sept 2026

Kili Presents by Arrangement with Pitch & Smith: Voxtrot Nearly two decades after their 2007 debut and a 2010-2022 hiatus, Austin, TX’s Voxtrot return with Dreamers in Exile, a new LP that turns an underdog story into a true second act. The band who quietly became cult heroes in the streaming era deliver a record that carries the electric rush longtime fans remember while speaking directly to the new generation of youth who discovered them through playlists and word of mouth. Musically, Dreamers in Exile folds Voxtrot’s classic DNA-C86 sparkle, Sarah Records romanticism, the pulse of The Velvet Underground, the elegance of Felt-into a sharper, more confident sound. Guitars chime and sprint, rhythms push forward, and Ramesh Srivastava’s literate, heart-forward lyrics trace the distance between youth and maturity, exile and home, regret and renewal. Mixed by Dean Reid (Lana Del Rey, James Blake), it reads as both reintroduction and redemption. For a band born of the 2000s blog wave alongside Vampire Weekend, The National, and Grizzly Bear, Dreamers in Exile is less nostalgia than proof of life. It’s the sound of a beloved group returning on their own terms and finding their songs resonating more widely than ever. Presented by Kilimanjaro and Pitch & Smith. This is an 18+ event.

Heavenly are an indie pop band who released four critically acclaimed albums between 1991-1996, becoming key figures in the independent music scenes of both the UK and US through their associations with seminal labels Sarah Records and K Records. Highly influential on what has become known as twee pop, they inspired generations of musicians with their perfect blend of punk energy and pop sensibility. Originally forming in Oxford in 1989 from the ashes of legendary punk pop combo Talulah Gosh, Heavenly features Amelia Fletcher (vocals/guitar), Peter Momtchiloff (guitar), Robert Pursey (bass), Cathy Rogers (keyboards/vocals) and Ian Button (drums). Members of the indiepop scene in the UK and the burgeoning Riot Grrrl scene in the US, Heavenly created a unique blend of infectious melody and sharp-edged lyrics. The band's original catalogue ran from jangly debut Heavenly vs. Satan (1991), through the harmony-rich Le Jardin de Heavenly(1992) and riot grrrl-influenced The Decline and Fall of Heavenly (1994), to the Britpop-era Operation Heavenly (1996). Heavenly reformed in 2023, after a 27 year hiatus. Amelia and Rob had been angrily approached by their daughters, wanting to know why their parents old songs were all over their TikTok timelines. Having established that this was not an algorithmic blip, and that there was genuine interest in their old songs, the band decided to play a few shows. Reunion shows in London, Paris, Madrid and New York sold out quickly, with both original Heavenly fans and a much younger audience clamouring to see the group live. Newly rejuvenated, the band started writing songs again. A new 7 single, Portland Town, was released in July 2025 and their fifth album comes out in February 2026. For their spring 2026 dates, the band will play songs from their past career alongside tracks from the new album. This combination is important to the group. If youre just doing your old songs and nothing else, youre almost like one of those cover bands but of yourself. That would have felt pretty weird pretty quickly, says Amelia Fletcher. Their spring 2026 tour also marks three decades since the release of Operation Heavenly. The band had expected their fourth album to be their most successful but they never promoted it properly due to the death of original drummer Mathew Fletcher just before its release. Drummer Ian Button now completes the Heavenly line-up. Alongside Heavenly these days, Amelia, Rob and Ian currently also play in Brian Bilston and The Catenary Wires and Swansea Sound; and Peter plays in The Would-Be-Goods and Tufthunter. Special guests are Tulpa. Tulpa are very new: nothing has been released up until now, not even a digital single. Despite this, they attracted the attention of Marc Riley & Gideon Coe, who invited the band to record a live BBC 6 Music session this summer. Around the same time, Skep Wax Records were sent the finished album, Monster Of The Week, and knew they had to release it. Meanwhile, in the creative hotbeds of the UK's DIY festivals and indie venues Tulpa are quickly gathering a loyal following. They have recently supported Throwing Muses, Pale Blue Eyes and Bug Club and will be playing a series of headline gigs in October and November 2025.
