Cud

Cud

27 Aug 2026 - 7 Nov 2026

Emerging from the same art/design cauldron that produced fellow Leeds legends Soft Cell, Scritti Politti, and The Mekons, CUD were the pre-Britpop answer to doleful shoegazing bands fun-loving, light-hearted, romantic and downright catchy. Alternatively loved or loathed like a yeast extract, CUD are indie rock for the unpretentious pleasure seeker, boasting as they do the rich deep-lunged voice of Carl Puttnam, edgy guitars of Mike Dunphy and tight, funky rhythm section of William Potter, bass and Gogs Byrn, drums. CUD were initially lauded for their quirky Peel session cover of You Sexy Thing in 1987. They soon built up a huge live following and buffed up their repertoire with a string of unstraight pop beauties, best exemplified by the 1990 album Leggy Mambo. This led to a major-label deal with A&M in 1991, front-page NME coverage, massive sellout gigs and proper Top 30 hits, Rich and Strange and Purple Love Balloon. Misunderstood by record companies and press, CUD packed away their guitars and sticks in 1995 but, bolstered by a greatest hits anthology (Rich and Strange) in 2006, they agreed to tread the boards again, with a further reunion following in 2012 (now with original guitarist and key songwriter Mike Dunphy) and continue to find an army of Space CUDets still eager to sing along, dance like fruitcakes and invade their stage.

MVT Everywhere at Once Festival Dead Reynolds & Modern Haze +
We start the weekend featuring the best in local original bands and artistes DEAD REYNOLDS - Dead Reynolds 2026 So Far: Loud Nights, Bigger Crowds and a Yellow Weather Warning Across the UK 2026 has already been massive for Dead Reynolds. What started as the build-up to the release of Yellow Weather Warning quickly turned into one of the biggest and most important periods the band has ever had. From packed venues and festival appearances to new music, sold out shows, chaotic music videos and unforgettable crowd moments, this year has felt like a band stepping into a new level. And the best part? Were only getting started. Yellow Weather Warning Finally Arrived Everything this year has revolved around one thing: the release of our album Yellow Weather Warning. This wasnt just another release thrown online and forgotten about a week later. These songs came from real experiences, difficult moments, long nights, personal battles, and everything life has thrown at us over the years. Throughout the campaign we released tracks including Face Me, Parasite, Count Me Out, HideAway and Hesitate, each one giving a different glimpse into what this album is really about. From heavy riffs and raw emotion to honest lyrics and massive live energy, these songs became the soundtrack to one of the biggest periods the band has ever had. MODERN HAZE Modern Hazes members take inspiration from all music genres. Jack Diggle, the lead singer and guitarist, listens to bands like Oasis and the Britpop era and the 2000s indie. Jake Webb is a true classic rock and metal fan calling inspirations from Black Sabbath, Cream, David Bowie. Learning to play bass from Geezer Butler and Jack Bruce he would follow along to their music, developing the skill straight from the source. Devon Arnold, Modern Hazes drummer, I grew up in Atlanta in the states so a lot of jazz and a lot of Earth Wind and Fire, a lot of Motown and all that music as well, and so that kind of driving sound and style of play influenced me for sure. MVTEverywhere At Once Festival The Winonas & RJ Archer & The PM
Ready to raise the roof with Day 2 of the Everywhere at Once Festival with more great bands The Winonas are a raw pulse of noise and nerve a post-punk eruption born from the tension between beauty and abrasion. Channeling the restless spirit of Nirvana and the precision chaos of Helmet, they twist melody through distortion until it bleeds something entirely their own. Their sound growls with Fugazis moral urgency and PJ Harveys emotional gravity equal parts confession and confrontation. Every riff feels handmade, every lyric scratched out in a moment of truth. The Winonas live by the DIY ethos: no polish, no compromise, no middlemen just conviction amplified through cranked amps and cracked voices. Onstage, they trade control for catharsis, turning dissonance into devotion. Its not nostalgia; its rebirth post-punk resurrected in sweat and static, a reminder that sometimes the dirtiest sounds hit the cleanest nerves. Up and coming hard rock band R.J. Archer & the Painful Memories play their debut Met Lounge show supporting Peterborough rock legends Austin Gold who sold out the venue in 2025 - and ticket sales are suggesting the same thing is going to happen again. Hailing from Huntingdon, R.J. Archer & the Painful Memories have been steadily building momentum since their third album The Cost of Loving Crisis - receiving lots of airplay on radio stations like Total Rock, Rock Radio UK, Emerging Rock Bands, and Amazing Radio; and critical comparisons being drawn to everyone from MC5 to UFO to Dr.Feelgood! A single from the album, 'Out of Line' was selected from thousands of submissions to compete in the Kerrang! and Marshall-sponsored competition 'The Deal'. Live shows with cult rock bands like Slady and Gypsys Kiss plus numerous festival appearances, have earned them their reputation as a band to look out for. Listen to Out of Line (from The Cost of Loving Crisis) About the Festival Everywhere At Once is not a festival in a field. It's a festival on your doorstep, no tent required.
