The Northern Academy of Performing Arts

A registered charity and nonprofit organisation that runs classes in dance, drama and musical theatre for young people aged 3--19. Performances are staged in the 120 seat theatre and various rooms and studios are available to hire. NAPA is situated next to the side of Hull railway station.

Napa Open Event - Napa Professional Diploma
UAL Level 4 Professional Diploma in Performance Thinking about studying performing arts? Come along to our open event to find out more about NAPAs full time performing arts course delivered in collaboration with Wilberforce College. This is your chance to meet our team, learn about our training and ask any questions you may have. NAPA has been preparing students for their next steps into degree level training by providing a tried and tested pathway into the industry for over 20 years. Taught by industry professionals and based at our Hull City Centre campus and Wilberforce College, this course focuses on practical based learning. Our small class sizes put individuals at the centre of our focus allowing us to support our students and help them grow as people and performers.
Newsies Jr - Musical Theatre Production Class
This 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 film is inspired by the rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City. It features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys' expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what's right. Including the now-classic songs "Carrying the Banner," "Seize the Day," and "Santa Fe,"Newsies JR.is a timeless story full of spirit and heart.
Charlotte's Webb - Acting Production Class
What makes a true friend? When Wilbur the pig is born the smallest of his litter, his future looks uncertain. Saved by a kind-hearted girl named Fern, Wilbur is sent to live on a farm where he meets an unlikely friend, Charlotte, a wise and caring spider. As Wilbur grows, he learns that life on the farm is not as simple as it seems. With time running out, Charlotte sets out to change his fate in the only way she can, using creativity, determination, and the power of words. Filled with warmth, humour, and heart, this much-loved story explores friendship, loyalty, and what it means to truly care for someone.
