Their live performance is to be held in awe, purely in anticipation of the live operatic architecture they consistently unfurl upon their willing audiences. Having invaded venues ranging from The Royal Albert Hall (on multiple occasions), playing alongside Elton John, The British Rock Symphony Orchestra and Blues festivals, Wembley Arena supporting The Who, The Viper Room in LA and Euro-fests galore, Never The Bride have amazed and floored audiences and peer groups alike over their 25 years of service – these ladies are true rock and roll royalty. Roger Daltrey broadcast “Nikki Lamborn has the best female rock voice since Janis Joplin and I know what I’m talking about, I knew Janis”. The legendary Dame Shirley Bassey called the girls “inspirational”, they have performed private shows for Cher and Liza Minnelli and Bob Harris from BBC Radio 2 referred to them as “one of the best live bands in Britain”; the ladies’ roll-call list is simply mind blowing – as are the stories the ladies readily share.

Salena Jones and her Trio

Salena Jones and her Trio

11 Apr 2026 - 11 Apr 2026

"A superb singer who effortlessly delivers the lyrics with grace, charm and innate swing" - _Ronnie Scott`s_ Regularly described by critics as one of the world`s great jazz singers and, occasionally as “not altogether a jazz singer”, Salena Jones is almost impossible to categorise. The attraction lies in her voice quality pure and simple. Salena Jones` cool, relaxed phrasing and delivery is wonderfully free from artifice. At the lower end of the register, her voice is smoky and sensual; not for her, though, vivacious displays of double-time gymnastics or virtuoso scat choruses; she is a storyteller who allows the lyrics to speak for themselves and although ballads are her strongest suit, she swings with the very best. Salena's outstanding career now spans seven decades of performance; she has worked with numerous music legends around the world including Louis Armstrong, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Sarah Vaughan as well as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. To date, Salena has made forty-three solo albums and twenty-two singles. She is totally comfortable in diverse styles that she makes her own: blues, jazz standards, pop, latin, big band and orchestral are all in her repertoire.

She then pursued a successful solo career in the early ’90’s signing to Sony UK’s Soho Square imprint, enjoying success with a further five UK hits including ‘Feel Like Making Love’, ‘Too Many People’, ‘Can’t Take Your Love’, ‘Love Hangover’ and ‘Never Knew Love Like This’ (ft. Wayne Marshall). Shift forward to now and as well as being a successful recording artist, Pauline is now one of the country’s top vocal coaches and runs regular singing masters classes. She continues to work hard in the industry she loves and in recent years has played live at Festival on the Isle Of Wight, as well as still touring the UK extensively. Pauline more recently hooked up with the Groove Odyssey record label to remix and re-release ‘Heaven’ with new mixes from DJ Spen and Will ‘Reelsoul’ Rodriquez. Bono of U2, himself saying "At last, someone is singing it how it was meant to be sung ”. Pauline scored big hits with The Chimes, ruling the dance charts, both sides of the Atlantic. Hits like like “1-2-3," produced by the pioneering Jazzie B of Soul II and Nelly Hooper, “Heaven”, and “Underestimate” all made it onto the US Billboard Hot 100 charts, while also dominating the UK charts in the 90s. Going solo was a natural step, and she didn’t disappoint, with the huge success of "Feel Like Making Love," "Sugar Free," and “Happy”. “It’s the stage where I truly feel I shine, says Pauline”, bringing her infectious energy and soulful vibes to stages around the globe, from Festival to the iconic Sydney Opera House.
