Meet Steph Goodwin a London based jazz singer whose soulful voice and captivating performances have been enchanting audiences in and around London. Likened to Karen Carpenter, she has a wonderfully resonant voice and a beautiful musicality to her performances. Steph has a life long love of music. Her talent became apparent at the age of 3 when she walked up to a piano and started to play a tune she had heard. Steph’s working life was in medicine but she was involved in music throughout that time. Now she has decided to concentrate fully on her music career. She has been taught over the years by wonderful teachers – Linley Weir, Anita Wardell and Imogen Ryall. She has spent a year studying jazz musicianship with the amazing bass player and educator Dave Jones. Steph has done several recordings with Grammy nominated musician and producer Mike Stevens. This includes in 2023 recording a duet with Marc Almond. She has been a regular performer at the Pheasantry Jazz club both as a solo performer and as part of an a cappella vocal jazz group. She has regularly played with some of the UK’s greatest jazz musicians including pianist John Crawford, bass player Andy Hamil and percussionist Andres Ticino. She has also performed at PizzaExpress Soho and other venues in and around London. Steph’s influences range from Sarah Vaughan to Lianne Carroll, Ella Fitzgerld to Karen Carpenter. Her study of jazz music has also ignited in her a love of instrumental jazz and writing lyrics to instrumental pieces.

For over a decade, nu-soul/RnB band The Foo Birds have taken their infectious in-the-pocket, move-your-body sound across the UK and Europe. Their music seamlessly blends elements of Corinne Bailey Rae's soulful melodies, the captivating energy of Lake Street Dive, and timeless allure of Norah Jones. In two decades of eminence on the UK jazz vocal scene Laura Zakian has stamped her mark with inimitable and sophisticated readings of classic songs. More recently, she has found her original voice as a thoughtful and original lyricist in collaboration with prolific and eclectic composer Martin Pyne. Together they create genre-defying music, which is at once meditative and expansive, and a springboard for masterful embellishment of this accomplished quintet. Laura’s mature and intelligent lyrics range far beyond hackneyed themes into sometimes surprising territory, crystallising the frustrations and joys of ordinary moments in our lives. Dreaming Life, Laura’s latest album, adds five new songs to five reprised and sometimes rearranged compositions from Zakian’s first released collaboration with Pyne, the critically acclaimed Minor Moments (2019). Zakian also covers Coming Home by American folk artist Patty Griffin, displaying her ease in imprinting her style on a wide range of musical idioms. Laura Zakian has lived and worked in London for more than two decades, teaching as well as practicing her art. The R'n'B singer sensation Babs Savage, who was born and brought up in London and grew up singing in nightclubs, won the 2018 international Chicago Music Award for her Outstanding Contribution to Music. Babs hit the London stages when she opened for George Michael’s band Wham at the Camden Palace. After meeting Rickey Rainbow, a highly acclaimed producer/singer songwriter, they produced Babs debut album 'London Kisses.’ She released her first single LA LA in America which reached the top 40 in the Urban charts over there and after releasing her club version it reached No 1 in her home territory of London. She went onto release ‘Hot Apple Pie’ which made it to No 1 in Chicago. She won the Chicago Music award for best creative artist of 2019.
