How Does It Feel To Be Loved? Christmas Party
Our Christmas Party! At long, long last, we can meet up once again in The Phoenix and dance to indie pop, northern soul, Motown, 60s girl groups and more. To ease our way back into the life we used to know, we'll be capping capacity for this to ensure that everyone has lots of space and feels comfortable. Tickets will be limited so please snap one up while you can. We play: Belle & Sebastian Dusty Springfield The Magnetic Fields Love Orange Juice The Ronettes Ramones The Supremes Aztec Camera Beach Boys Buzzcocks The Cure The Temptations Velvet Underground Felt The Shangri-Las R.E.M. Allo Darlin' Otis Redding The Field Mice Dexys Midnight Runners Camera Obscura The Four Tops The Go-Betweens Pixies Tammi Terrell Jens Lekman Jonathan Richman Le Tigre Pat Powdrill The Sea Urchins Sleater-Kinney Os Mutantes Neutral Milk Hotel The Left Banke The Associates Martha Reeves & The Vandellas Thee Oh Sees Teenage Fanclub The Pastels Shop Assistants Covid Safety Precautions We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable at our nights, so here are the rules for anyone who'd like to come to HDIF in the next few months. We will ask you to provide proof of a double vaccination (via the NHS app or by bringing your card or a print out), a negative lateral flow test (via the app or a print out, which you can get from here: https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result), or proof of having had Covid in the last 3 months (via the app). We're limiting the capacity for the first few nights to make sure everyone has lots of room. Some people will have been out in the last few weeks and will feel comfortable with being in a club again. For others - myself included - this will be the first month they've been out dancing. So please be respectful of everyone's personal space and remember that we'll all be at different stages of returning to the life we used to know. It's no longer a legal requirement to wear a mask. If you'd like to wear a mask, you're welcome to. If not, that's fine too. Staff will be wearing a mask for your safety. We'll have the air con units on and will take measures to increase natural ventilation. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us do everything we can to keep everyone safe.
Age Against The Machine

Age Against The Machine

17 Jan 2026 - 16 May 2026

For over a decade now Don and Reg have been holding their underground pirates for those who do not want to go gentle in to that good night and are still fighting hard for their right to party! Don't tell the kids! Dropping the finest: pop, indie, rock, disco, Motown, rock ‘n’ roll, power ballads, soul, punk, ska, northern soul, funk and anything we think will get the floor moving. You’ll hear artists like: Wham, Prince, The Clash, Kate Bush, Chic, Bon Jovi, The Cure, Stevie Wonder, Human League, Blondie, The Killers, Dolly Parton, The Spice Girls,Pet Shop Boys, Tina Turner, Blur, Rolling Stones, Pulp, The Smiths, Specials, Kylie, The Strokes, Elton John, Joy Division, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, KC and the Sunshine Band, Fleetwood Mac, Duran Duran, Gloria Gaynor, Soft Cell, Bee Gees, Belinda Carlisle, Madonna, Beach Boys, Queen, Meat Loaf, Soft Cell, Phil Collins,Beatles, Frankie Valli, Whitney Houston, The Kinks, James Brown, Cher, INXS, New Order, ABBA and loads more. Age Against The Machine has appeared at numerous festivals over the years including Isle of Wight, Latitude, Standon Calling, Brighton Fringe and more.
Hdif Family Disco - Pretend New Year's Eve Party
We've held the HDIF Children's disco at the End Of The Road festival since 2011, and they've been lots and lots of fun. We play our usual mixture of indie pop and soul, and the discos are a wonderful opportunity for kids to bop around to Belle & Sebastian, Allo Darlin', Ramones, Pixies and more, and for their parents to bop along with them. It can often be hard to get out to club nights once you become a parent, so these discos are as much a chance for the parents to go out dancing as they are for the kids. We also want to provide an alternative to the many rave-themed kids discos that are on offer in London. If you'd rather dance to your favourite indie pop and Motown songs with your children, then we're the disco for you! Music will be played at a reasonable level. We'll make sure that the songs aren't played too loud, but if you're worried about volume please do bring along ear defenders for your kids. Everyone is welcome at our kids discos - children, parents and family friends - but we follow similar rules to Coram's Fields - so no admission for adults unless they are accompanied by a child. About The Phoenix: The venue is a wonderful basement bar with a wooden dancefloor. Entrance is via a short flight of stairs. It's three minutes walk from Oxford Circus tube station.
