The Place
A centre for contemporary dance uniting dance training, creation and performance in one space. The venue hosts dance classes for adults and children, vocational training as part of London Contemporary Dance School and is home to touring company Richard Alston Dance Company. The in-house theatre, the Robin Howard Dance Theatre, presents over 200 performances a year, including a new year platform season Resolution!, and Spring Loaded, a season of works by independent UK artists supported by The Place.
The nearest tube stations to The Place are Euston and King's Cross St Pancras, where there are also car parks. There are metered parking spaces in the roads around The Place and reserved spaces for Blue Badge holders outside each entrance.

Bollywood Dance with Krupa Chavda
Join us for a week of movement, expression, and high-energy fun in our Bollywood Dance Intensive with Krupa Chavda. Designed for young dancers aged 7-10, this dynamic experience blends Bollywood choreography with Indian folk dance and expressive storytelling. Throughout the week, participants will build confidence, coordination, and dance skills while learning energetic Bhangra and Garba-inspired moves. With live musical accompaniment and a joyful final sharing for family and friends, this is a celebration of rhythm, culture, and creativity not to be missed.

Folk and Street Dance with Folk Dance Remixed
Join us this summer for maypole dancing and street dance moves, all tied together with live beatboxing. This exciting week with Folk Dance Remixed for ages 11-14, will be led by Natasha Khamjani. Explore the fusion of traditional folk dance and Ceilidh dances with street dance, remixing traditional steps and adding your own creative twist. With live music, beatboxing, and plenty of teamwork, you’ll build confidence and have fun while creating something truly special. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn, dance, and express yourself!
Throughout dancers will experience dancing with a maypole and collaborate with live beatboxing to create a bespoke track for their Folk Dance Remixed piece.
