The Ukrainians

The Ukrainians

8 Apr 2026 - 4 Jun 2026

The Ukrainians’ unrelenting energy and cross-category appeal has meant that they have wowed audiences at more than a thousand festivals and clubs throughout Europe and North America over the last three decades, including both Glastonbury and Womad in the UK. As well as exploring the traditional Ukrainian folk repertoire The Ukrainians play Ukrainian language versions of Western pop songs, including their brilliantly danceable interpretations of classic tracks by Joy Division, T-Rex, The Sex Pistols, The Smiths and The Velvet Underground. The majority of their songs are self written in their unique cross-over style. The Ukrainians’ most recent, and arguably best album, ‘Summer in Lviv’ deals with themes that reflect the Ukraine of today: conflict, populations on the move, immigration, and a struggle for identity. It is also - like all Ukrainians’ albums - bursting with fabulous danceable tunes!
Bibi Club

Bibi Club

7 Apr 2026 - 12 Apr 2026

Bibi Club is the musical project of Adèle Trottier-Rivard on vocals and keyboard, and Nicolas Basque on guitar. They explore the liminal spectrum between the here and beyond, pointing to love, nature, and community as the unifying purpose. The duo now reveal themselves through avant-pop and electronic body music with elements of dark wave and neofolk, simultaneously borrowing from baroque sounds with harpsichords, trumpets, and ritual chants to be learned by heart. The pair named themselves “Bibi Club” for the discotheque in their living room, where their “bibis”-loved ones-come to dance. On their third album, Amaro, Bibi Club invites us to brave the dark beasts that shadow us beneath the surface and devote ourselves to the therapeutic power of a fierce will to live. It explores the sensitive spectrum between the here and there, pointing to love, nature, and community as the unifying purpose. The songs draw a map of a world of its own, following the trajectory traced by the Bibis in recent years. Now out of the living room, we dance in a mental space overloaded with grief and fear in their rawest forms. Following the death of two loved ones in the last year, the mantra “I want to love, I want to live” resonates intensely in each melody; if the heart is a place that never dies, we must reach it as quickly as possible. Inspired by memorable artistic encounters, tours with Blonde Redhead and Circuit desyeux, and a collaboration with Calvin Johnson, Bibi Club now reveals itself in avant-pop and electronic body music with elements of dark wave and neofolk, simultaneously borrowing from baroque sounds with harpsichords, trumpets, and ritual songs to be learned by heart. Supported by a caring community, including saxophonist and activist Dimitri Milbrun (George Sand) and singer-songwriter Helena Deland (A Different Light), Amaro allows Bibi Club to define itself in both intimate and collective terms. Presented by Love Thy Neighbour. This is an 18+ event
Deaf School

Deaf School

17 Jul 2026 - 18 Jul 2026

Who are Deaf School? It's strange that we still need to ask. Deaf School are an unclassifiable collective, a band apart who are a genre unto themselves. They formed at Liverpool art college over 40 years ago and won disciples from Madness and Dexys to the KLF and Frankie Goes To Hollywood. Among their most ardent supporters is the co-creator of Peppa Pig. The music that Deaf School make is both kaleidoscopic and wildly entertaining. It's a rock'n'roll cabaret with punk and pop art in its bloodstream. If you sat down and made them up you'd awake the next day and decide it was the weirdest dream you'd ever had. But also, perhaps, the nicest. In those four decades and more Deaf School have been the best-kept secret in British pop. (They're not a secret everywhere, though: this is the band the term big in Japan was originally coined for.) They have recorded sporadically since 1976, and are now releasing their first full-length album of all-new material since 1978. It's called Let's Do This Again Next Week... Brace yourself for an addictive cocktail of exotic fantasies, brutal guitar noise, John Betjeman reveries and crisp melodic freshness. Their two lead singers, Bette Bright and Enrico Cadillac Jnr (all of Deaf School's members seem semi-fictitious) continue the stage romance that has enchanted fans from Tokyo to Camden Town. Before this year is over Deaf School are playing some more sell-out shows that will leave the audience wishing they really could do this again next week. And every week after that. As those fans will agree, Deaf School never knew when they were beaten and have thus proved indestructible.
Memorials

Memorials

23 Apr 2026 - 1 May 2026

Memorials is the new band of Verity Susman (Electrelane’s frontwoman) and Matthew Simms (Wire, Better Corners, It Hugs Back, UUUU). As a duo these multi-instrumentalists cover plenty of ground on stage, juggling instruments in a set up resembling that of a 5-piece band. Their sound touches on the many points for which they are known, veering from melodic songwriting to psychedelic noise, free jazz freakouts, tape loops and drones, and then back again. This is an 18+ event .
Youth Killed It

Youth Killed It

17 Apr 2026 - 16 May 2026

Uncover Presents: A meeting three years ago in a studio in Norwich, resulted in a united front of millennial madness. Introduced to each other through their mutual love of music; they bought a van the same age as themselves, named it Dorian and headed out on the road. Combining their razor tongue wit, cheeky bravado and undeniably danceable licks to form indie rock band Youth Killed It. The band put together two EP’s entitled “The Sad Boys Club” and “The Happy Girls Club”, and what can only be described as a chance meeting with Rude Records, they snapped the band up for a two album deal. They boxed up the EP’s and put them out as the riff fuelled album we now know as “Modern Bollotics” (2017) and just over a year later followed the indie focused “What's so Great, Britain?” (2018).They have since moved forward as an independent outfit and are now focused on a single driven ethos. Having toured the UK and Europe with The Frights, The LaFontaines and MassMaticks, and many of their own shows, a Youth Killed It gig involves 100% crowd participation and gets better the more you drink or the less you think. You won’t see a wall of death or circle pit, but you will see conga lines, dad dancing and anything else that is shamelessly brilliant including front man Jack Murphy’s charisma and charm between songs. Its function is to have fun, alienate fans from any outdoor judgement, let them scream, shout and do whatever is contrary to the social norm at a live show.
Lande Hekt

Lande Hekt

5 Apr 2026 - 23 Apr 2026

Lande Hekt’s natural state of being is in the writing of a song. Having crafted politically aware, heart-on-sleeve, punchy yet tender, punk-flecked songs with her band Muncie Girls, Lande turned her hand to an even more personal songwriting approach as she embarked on writing a solo record - 2021’s ‘Going to Hell’. The debut full-length documented her experience coming out as gay. It set out her stall as a solo artist with supreme storytelling abilities and a knack for understatedly luminous melodies. Lande’s music sits beautifully alongside such essential artists as The Wedding Present, The Sundays, The Replacements, Sleeper and Sharon Van Etten With her debut album barely a year old, 2022 sees Lande armed with a whole new collection of song-form vignettes and musings on her life and experiences. Kicking off where the last record left off, the opening track of new album ‘House Without a View’ is ‘Half With You’ which “is about growing into yourself as a queer person, and enjoying who you are after not enjoying it for so long,” says Lande. ‘Cut My Hair’ is about how her relationship with her gender has changed over the last few years, becoming more comfortable in herself and understanding more about what makes her happy. “It’s also about how easy it is to not talk to people when you’re struggling, which is something I did for a long time,” admits Lande.

Chris Brain

Chris Brain

23 Apr 2026 - 27 May 2026

Chris Brain emerged out of Leeds’ vibrant folk scene in 2022 with his debut, critically acclaimed and widely distributed album, Bound to Rise, reaching Number 22 in the UK Folk Charts. His much-anticipated second album, Steady Away, moves inward and takes on a more self-reflective quality, whilst retaining glimmers of soaring figures and pastoral imagery. Brain’s distinctive warm vocal and finger-picked guitar style are sustained alongside expansive strings and delicate piano arrangements, taking shape through evolving and introspective impressions on tenderness, loss, pain and awe in nature. Glancing off The Nave’s eaved ceilings with natural reverb, Steady Away’s 11 tracks, recorded by Tom Orrell, capture the intimacy of Chris’ songwriting. Steady Away further embeds Chris Brain within the contemporary folk scene, whilst gesturing towards the folk tradition. His commitment to folk is only deepened by the two folk clubs and folk festival in Leeds that Chris founded and runs, attracting a wide range of audiences and musicians alike.

Wonk Unit

Wonk Unit

10 Apr 2026 - 17 May 2026

Wonk Unit have recently recorded their newest – and possibly heaviest - album 'Uncle Daddy,' which was largely written and recorded during the Covid-19 pandemic. It's perhaps their most collaborative work, which captures a year of isolation and sadness, as others laugh together around Alex's backyard skate bowl. The album features the singles 'Cyclists', 'Summertime', 'Strength' and 'Raise My Glass', which received widespread praise and coverage by the likes of Steve Lamacq and Rodney Bingenheimer. Uncle Daddy captures everything that has made Wonk Unit a cult favourite in the UK punk scene- it's heavy but also experimental and humour-tinged, political but highly personal. Supporting are Yur Mum, who make their Fine City debut. The Brazilian punk-rock duo are arguably one of the heaviest acts we have ever booked, but they are fantastic. Think a multi-cultural band who share hopes, dreams, anger and anxieties through thunderous punk with a polished metal edge, performed in their own inimitable style. Opening the night are local favourites I Said Goodbye, who make a welcome return to our local music world. Post punk/power pop for a post pandemic population.

Skinner

Skinner

29 May 2026 - 6 Jun 2026

Skinner is Aaron Corcoran, based in Dublin, who writes, records and produces songs about growing up and overcoming a dirt-flecked 21st century existence. The DNA of no wave and post-punk acts like The B52s, James Chance and the Contortions and ESG through to alt-rock touchstones Pixies and Morphine com-bined with an talent for grunge-nodding self-production and pockets of elevated in-strumentation is oozing from Skinner’s music. Debut album New Wave Vaudeville, released January 2025 on Faction Records, references the New Wave Vaudeville music variety freak show that took place at the 57 Club in New York from 1978 to 1983. The club was known for its free-form art shows, a debaucherous wild riposte to creeping commerciality of modern culture of the time, an era that perfectly reflects the rambunctious nature Skinner has brought to this new collection. Presented by JOY. This is an 18+ event

Treeboy & Arc

Treeboy & Arc

29 Apr 2026 - 5 May 2026

Some things take time. Like a fine wine or a slow cooked meal, the maturity they gain from that time add depth, flavour and character. The same could be said for many forms of art, it takes time to explore the different corners of expression and fine tune your creative processes. It's easy to fall into routine and habits when it comes to making music and Treeboy & Arc had noticed themselves falling into that trap, writing songs that felt the same as before, like little progression had been made and the last thing they wanted was to follow up their debut with an album that was simply more of the same. The decision to re-explore the tools already in front of them, to attempt to relearn songwriting and view it from a different angle is where Goose was born, the band's sophomore album and best offering to date. Conscious to explore the space between the instruments, the fat has been trimmed from these songs and what's left is Treeboy & Arc in their most refined and mature form to date. With influences and inspirations coming from more electronic and industrial artists, Goose sees Treeboy & Arc focus more heavily on synthesisers, allowing driving and robust sequences to take centrestage. Each guitar part now feels considered and respectful of its counterpart, the band playing with intention instead of impatience. Lyrically and vocally, the album seeks solace in simplicity. Focusing on repeating themes and hooks rather than getting bogged down in complex wordplay. Treeboy & Arc have been admired by many for their ferocious live performances which have seen them receive invites to tour alongside the likes of Bodega, Crows, Ditz, Cola and others, whilst also receiving praise from Clash, DIY, So Young, BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 1 and many more. ...It's the sound of a band simultaneously treading new ground and never having looked more sure of themselves - DIY ...a leading light out of the north - So Young [Treeboy & Arc] could be the next great art-punk outfit. Wildly infectious and brilliantly conceived - The Revue

The Metatrons / Simon Love & the Old Romantics
The Metatrons are a delightfully fuzzy Riot-Pop band from Hertfordshire. After signing to Chapter 22 Records they released their "Deconstruction" album, which was a fantastic critical success, being called "The pinnacle of quality pop" and "a thunderous slice of pop majesty". Vive le Rock said the album was "bursting with bright, breezy driving rhythms...you should hear them". The band toured the album, opening for Altered Images on their UK tour in 2022 to add to the list of great bands they've worked with - Shonen Knife, Echobelly, The Primitives, Dodgy, The Blockheads, The Darling Buds, The Membranes, Steve Craddock, The Lovely Eggs and Glen Matlock to name but a few. 2023 and 2024 had more great shows and a summer full of festival appearances, as they released their 4th album "Lumination" on Chapter 22 Records in June. Album no.5 "The Ever-Present Now" coming in June 2026! Simon Love & the Old Romantics: Imagine Randy Newman's epic storytelling filtered through the Britishness of Ray Davies, with music that veers from mid-60s pop and country to ELO, served up in a style that bears similarities with a sardonic post Britpop Jarvis Cocker. After imagining all that, please lower your expectations and you wont be disappointed by Simon Love. Simon Love and his group, The Old Romantics, play songs from his latest album, "THE ONE TRUE PRINCE OF WALES (in exile after abdication)" which is out on Hurrah Musica in April 2026. All Ages, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult

Ohtis

Ohtis

8 Sept 2026 - 10 Sept 2026

Ohtis' new album Curve of Earth (out 29th March via Full Time Hobby) is a reunion record for the band and tells the tale of songwriter Sam Swinson's autobiographical journey through indoctrination and addiction. Each song an endlessly inviting confession from his past battles with substance abuse and the religious demons lingering from his upbringing in a fundamentalist evangelical cult. Ohtis formed when Swinson and co-founder Adam Pressley were sophomores at high school in Normal, Illinois. Sam would ride his bike over to Adam's house where they made experimental folk music with primitive home-recording gear. Their partnership has defined Ohtis, accompanied by a revolving cast of local musicians joining the live act over the years including rejoining mainstay member and multi-instrumentalist Nate Hahn. By around 2009, Swinson's addiction had become life-threatening. Weighing the odds of maintaining a creative partnership in those conditions, Pressley and Hahn decided to distance themselves. Pressley moved to Detroit to work on new projects; Hahn reversed course entirely and took a job at a drug treatment center, where, at one point, Swinson was briefly admitted. The band dissolved. Redemption eventually came in the form of sobriety for Swinson. After making 9th step amends to both of his rejoining bandmates, they brought Ohtis back to life, unfazed by the 2000 miles that now separate them geographically, with Pressley and Hahn in Detroit and Chicago and Swinson in Los Angeles. The record's lyricism is where Ohtis shine brightest, with stories of family, love, loss, personal abuse, self-loathing, betrayal, recovery, Swinson's religious hangover, and journeying across America with his late-dog Bobo. The first verse of 2018 single 'Runnin was written for Adam by Sam while he was in rehab in 2011. It foreshadows a reunion of the band, and it signals a reincarnation of Sam. Sam's beautiful encapsulation of recovery principles among the descriptions of his own struggle and redemption with sobriety in the song 'Runnin was a major factor drawing me back to the band when they reformed, Nate explains. Swinson went to a self-made hell, and when he came out the other side he found a support group waiting for him, which had always been there, as Ohtis.
