Brilliant satirical play set in an alternate universe in1992, imagining a Britain where a Republican party wins the general election and abolishes the monarchy. The royal family, stripped of their titles and wealth, is relocated from Buckingham Palace to a gritty council estate in the Midlands, dubbed "Hell Close" by locals. The royals find it hilariously difficult to adapt to the new life as commoners. The play blends sharp social commentary with absurd comedy, poking fun at class divides and the monarchys place in society.
Quiz by James Graham

Quiz by James Graham

16 Jun 2026 - 20 Jun 2026

Very sharp, comedic drama that revisits the infamous 2001 "coughing scandal" on the British TV show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The play centers on Charles Ingram, a former army major who won the million-pound jackpot, only to be accused of cheating when suspicious coughs from the audience. Blending courtroom tension with game-show glitz, the story unfolds through the trial that gripped the nation, questioning guilt, innocence, and the blurred line between entertainment and justice. Graham cleverly incorporates audience participation, inviting viewers to vote on Ingrams fate, while satirizing Britains obsession with quiz shows and media sensationalism. "Quiz" is a witty exploration of truth, deception, and the thrill of the game.

Martyn Joseph

6 Nov 2025 - 24 Jan 2026

Juxtaposition is a key theme in Martyn's work. The simplicity and the complexity of the human condition and all that it encompasses is underpinned with a heady promise of hope. There is a versatility to Martyn's music that is hard to categorise. Many have tried, resulting in labels such as folk, rock, soul, folk-funk and Americana; all of which somehow miss the mark. But sometimes music doesn't need a defining genre and with the ability to articulate a sense of the bigger picture, Martyn's music and social commentary manage to empower and speak for many. His songs are pictures, and stories, and feelings all put to music and delivered by a master craftsman. Martyn Joseph. A unique talent driven by passion and love for his trade, continues to write, sing and play from the heart.
