This’ll be their first time back in the capital since then, so why not celebrate with a free show at the Sebright? “Don’t mind if I do”, I hear you say. Really Big Really Clever

Really Big Really Clever

6 Sept 2025 - 17 Sept 2025

Brighton-based quartet really big really clever have quickly cemented themselves as a vital force in the UK emo and grunge scene. Since their explosive debut in 2023, the band has turned heads with their dynamic sound and relentless energy. Releasing their debut LP via Beth Shalom Records (home to acts like itoldyouiwouldeatyou, Buds., and Regal Cheer) teaming up with producer Tom Hill, the record showcased a seamless blend of grunge, indie, punk, and emo, earning the band a growing legion of fans. Influenced by artists such as Deftones, Reuben, PUP and Violent Soho, the core duo of Jared Tomkins and Jordan Lilford formed the project after the split of their previous band, Gender Roles. Lacking the correct amount of limbs for full live performances, they brought in Brighton scene stalwarts Chris Childs and Sam Perkins to round out the line up, ensuring their onstage energy matched the power of their recordings. Since their formation, really big really clever have played and toured alongside notable acts like Tigercub, Sweet Pill, Have Mercy, Gaffa Tape Sandy, Church Girls, and Family Dinner, solidifying their reputation as one of the most exciting live bands in the scene. 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year, with the release of their single, “floss is boss” and a string of UK tour dates. With whispers of a second full-length album on the horizon, really big really clever are poised to take their sound to even greater heights. JOY. Present 14+, under 16s accompanied by an adult

Jack Cheshire

Jack Cheshire

21 Oct 2025 - 21 Oct 2025

Acclaimed indie artist Jack Cheshire returns to the Sebright Arms for another full band show. His approach of 'juxtaposing softly bewitching psychedelic pop, folktronica and lo-fi indie rock' serves up a dazzling array of genre defying sound pictures and poetic allusive lyricism. He released his sixth album 'INTERLOPER' in November 2024 to raptuous critical plaudits and played a live Maida Vale session for Cerys Matthews on BBC Radio 6 Music along the way. No to be missed. ‘I fell in love straight away...it all sounds gorgeous, if you like a bit of laid back psychedelia then Jack Cheshire’s new album is going to be for you.’ Cerys Matthews, BBC Radio 6 Music ‘Interloper offers a blend of dystopic psychedelia and vividly coloured electronica...at times dizzying...at times hypnotic...finds and offers solace in getting lost in the spaceyness.’ Shindig! ‘Softly bewitching psychedelic pop, folktronica and lo-fi indie rock. As ever, he pulls together the patchwork quilt with charismatic conviction.’ uncut ‘...hallucinatory...mesmerising...Thrown for a loop, battered against psychic rocks, his music is unruly and uncompromising in its journeys through the workings of the soul and the heart.’ KLOF Magazine ‘Magical, innovative, intelligent and sensual, another unique, unusual gem of a record’ The Song Bar Presented by Loose Tongue. Ead Wood + Moon Balloon + Glass Eel
Triples Is Best is excited to return to the Sebright Arms on November 2nd for a special show with Bristol indie-folk legend Ead Wood. Support comes from the excellent Moon Balloon and Glass Eel. An unwavering fixture of Bristol’s indie scene, Ead Wood debuted as a solo project of songwriter Ed Soles (Langkamer, Gork). Over the last half a decade they’ve maintained a prolific output of lauded singles and EPs, notable highlights being last year’s EP ‘A Sparkling Gift’ and double A Side ‘Menu’/’Peace In The Pines’. Other highlights include performances at Glastonbury, Left of the Dial, Ritual Union, Dot to Dot, not to mention support slots for Surf Curse, The Clientele, Dougie Poole, Oracle Sisters, Siv Jakobsen and Blood Wizard. Their upcoming debut album ‘Cash Mountain’, out on the 11th June via Breakfast Records, sees the most refined vision of Ead Wood to date, as Soles embraces a new vision of Americana across the pond. From the rousing country-rock chorus of its self-titled lead single, to the ruminative folk of its closing tracks, there’s a renewed commitment to alt-country experimentation that marks out Soles as a subtly original force in the UK independent scene, with plenty of charm and ideas still up their sleeve Presented by Triples Is Best.
