The Shaw Theatre

Opened in 1971 as a purpose-built theatre within St Pancras Library, the Shaw was refurbished in 1998 and now seats 446. It has played host to Dionne Warwick, Kerry Ellis, Eartha Kitt, Boy George, Van Morrison, Harry Connick Jr, Ron Moody, and Janie Dee.

Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation is proud to present the worlds largest youth drama festival at The Shaw Theatre. Join us on 18th November 2025 for a thrilling theatrical event, featuring a series of abridged Shakespeare plays, performed by local schools. See Shakespeares timeless stories brought to life, and support young people from your community as they take to the stage in a unique evening of live theatre. If Shakespeare had been sitting in the audience, he would have loved everything he saw. Ben Willbond, actor and screenwriter (Ghosts, Horrible Histories, The Thick of It) Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation is a national cultural education charity, dedicated to transforming young lives through the unique power of Shakespeare. We exist to instill curiosity, empathy and aspiration - and give children across the UK the confidence and essential skills to succeed in life. Our 2025-26 Theatre Festival will give students from more than 350 schools a platform to further their oracy and teamworking skills, grow in self-esteem and express themselves on a professional stage. Performances start at 7pm.
