Presented in an informal and engaging way, these concerts are designed to be accessible for people who may find a formal concert setting challenging. These performances will be particularly appropriate for people living with dementia and their carers. After the performance, enjoy tea and cake (included in the ticket price) with new and old friends alike or explore the Museum of Making on a self-guided tour. The concert is presented by Caroline Welsh, and is perfect for everyone, especially for those living with dementia and their carers, or people with additional needs. The Venue Hire team would like to invite you to The Museum of Making for our Corporate Open Day. Sessions will begin with a welcome to Derby Museums, followed by an introduction from our Venue Hire Team, showing how your contribution and support helps us stay vital and relevant to our communities. You will then be invited to enjoy a bite to eat, journey exclusively through the museum galleries whilst closed to the general public, view the wonderful collections and mingle with existing and new contacts. The opportunity to view and receive further information of the hireable spaces will be available throughout all sessions. We are hosting three sessions throughout the day! Choose from the below options with complimentary catering and refreshments from our very own River Kitchen team: 10 - 11.30am - River Kitchen Brunch Selection of pastries, fruit platters, overnight oats, open bagel bites, fruit juices, teas and coffees 12.30 - 2pm - Working Buffet Lunch Selection of sandwiches, salads, hot and cold savoury nibbles and sweet treats, soft and hot drinks 3 - 4.30pm - Afternoon Tea Selection of finger sandwiches, River Kitchen fruit scones served with clotted cream and house jam, River Kitchen cheese scones served with house pineapple or caramelised onion chutney and cheddar, sweet treats, soft and hot drinks We look forward to welcoming you!
