Steve Conte has been one of the best kept secrets in the music biz since taking on the NYC scene in the 1990s. Solo Career: Currently signed as a solo artist on “Little Steven” Van Zandt’s label, Wicked Cool Records, Conte’s songs are featured on The Underground Garage radio program & numerous indie stations worldwide as well as on internet radio, music blogs & tastemaker playlists. His upcoming release, The Concrete Jangle (Spring 2024), includes 5 songs co-written & arranged with his songwriting hero - Andy Partridge of XTC. Diverse Collaborations: Conte has avoided mainstream conformity by working with iconic acts like New York Dolls, Willy DeVille, Robert Gordon, and Michael Monroe, showcasing his mastery in guitar, vocals, and songwriting. Conte’s music blends Rock ’n Roll, American Soul, Brit-Pop, & Punk, refusing to be confined to a single genre. He draws inspiration from diverse influences like The Beatles, Prince & David Bowie. Steve made his major label debut with his band Company Of Wolves in 1990 and has made hundreds of records since, with his own bands and other legendary artists.
