The Small Space Presents : Glastonbarry Fringe - Louise Clare Marshall
From the artist herself: "My career so far has been pretty varied. People say you should focus on one thing and get really good at that, but for me grabbing all opportunities with both hands and leaping in has been all part of the fun! From the west end to touring gigs, countless recordings and live work with my own line up. I decided to break the mould and do what I fancied doing. I mean why not ? Its kept me afloat for almost 30 years. QUIRKY AND A BIT CRAZY?! I have to warn you though, I am a quirky musician who loves the experimental craziness that comes with the harmonious stories in my head. Sometimes I dont even know when they are going to end! Free spirited and fully embracing the sprinkles of emotion! You might find yourself surprised and moved when you come to a live gig as a lot of stuff happens off the cuff anything and everything can happen! It tends to be an eclectic mix of improvisation and organic flavours. If you can handle it, then book a ticket cause Id love to meet you! I really love having the variation in my life where I am able to be part of so many elements in the music industry and bounce off ideas and intermingle my childhood basic disciplines into the person I am now. JOOLS & M You will probably have seen me on Hootenanny at the Annual Jools broadcast singing in the new year. Its been such a ride with Jools since 2006 and I absolutely love headlining with him plus backing some of the greatest performers in the world. The vibe in the band is joyous and LOUD! Being pregnant with my daughter singing at the Royal Albert Hall in my first year with Jools was a special highlight. (shes now a teenager and a mini dancer/singer). Jools Holland says, I have been fortunate to work with some of the greatest singers in the world. I can truly say that Louise Marshall is one of these. Im so delighted to hear the first flowering of her solo recorded work and its as wonderful and enchanting as she is. OTHER LIVE PERFORMANCES One of the six singers for Adiemus Concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London, 1996. Plus, Back up singing for these iconic legends, David Gilmour, Beverley Knight, Marc Almond, Dionne Warwick, Chaka Khan. THEATRE I have been blessed to perform in 3 West End Shows in my career which led me to another way of performing. When I auditioned for Jesus Christ Superstar, I did feel like a little girl on a gigantic stage, and to be part of an amazing cast was daunting but I was ready to try a new challenge and new adventure into the 8 shows a week world. At that stage, I was happy to be in the ensemble, and hide behind everyone else, enjoy singing the chorus parts. Now Im ready to sing those lead vocals MY OWN SONGS After decades working with famous people (Paul Weller, Michael Ball) I developed my own sound, my own flavours and enhancements, I literally absorbed all the experiences and it inspired me to write my own albums. My song ideas wake me up and I have to get my phone, record the basic tune and play the chords so I can come back to it later" It's going to be an unforgettable night from a truly world-class performer, so grab a ticket, grab a drink at the bar and relax in our unique intimate venue. Louise will be accompanied by some of our incredible regular jazz players. DOORS OPEN 7PM - MUSIC STARTS 8PM - EVENING FINISHES AROUND 10PM - BAR SERVES UNTIL 10.45 - VENUE CLOSES 11.30PM - UNRESERVED SEATING N.B. PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU HAVE ANY MOBILITY ISSUES AND PLEASE NOTE THE TOILET IS UPSTAIRS BY THE BAR - WE ARE (ON MOST OCCASSIONS) NOW ABLE TO GIVE YOU ACCESS TO A GROUNDFLOOR TOILET AT THE NEXT DOOR RESTAURANT BUT PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU NEED THIS FACILITY PRIOR TO ATTENDING. N.B. - IT HAS TAKEN A FEW YEARS TO FIND A DATE FOR LOUISE TO RETRUN TO US, AND AT THE TIME OF BOOKING LOUISE IS COMMITTED TO PERFORMING THIS GIG, BUT IF FOR ANY REASON JOOLS HOLLAND OR ANY OF HER OTHER REGULAR COLLABORATORS NEED HER FOR A HUGE EVENT, UNFORTUANTELY WE WILL HAVE TO CANCEL THIS EVENT AND FULLY REFUND EVERYONE, IT'S THE NATURE OF THIS CALIBRE OF PERFORMER.

YES - you read that correctly, we have a full 90 minute juggling show at The Small Space! After Jon visited our theatre, we were astounded to discover that the height of the venue is perfect and the space is beautifully challenging. But how can this work? simply because incredible skill and entertainment is on show. Jon Udry is a World-Class Juggler and stand-up comedian and his charming, frank and funny performances leave his audiences on the edge of their seats and laughing hard. This winning combination has won him the award for British Young Juggler of the Year and has led to appearances on radio and television, as well as appearing all over the world to international acclaim. He's the first juggler (in 2025) to perform on the UK's Largest stage - Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage, in over twenty years, so he couldn't pass up the opportunity to also appear on the UK's Smallest Stage - The Small Space. Don't miss this opportunity to see this fantastically funny and entertaining show in our unfathombly small venue - how can it possibly work? Buy a ticket and find out!
