Heart of Rust Tribute to Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Heart of Rust have been playing their tribute to Neil Young and Crazy Horse for over 16 years now. The line up has changed over the years but the sound and spirit remain. Currently this is, David Henderson, Jamie Uchima, John Bremner and Trevor Newport. Widely praised for their authentic sound, they have played at venues and the odd festival, throughout the UK. The band were headliners at Rustfest in 2015. Also, headliners for the Old Man event in London in 2025, a celebration for Neil Young's 80th birthday. Among the artists playing Rustfest in Edinburgh in 2015 were, Ian McNabb, who joined us onstage for a couple of numbers. Thrum (Johnnie Smillie and Monica Queen) also performed a set of Neil young songs. Nils Lofgren was also in town that day and generously gifted us some items to raffle, including signed CD's. He had hoped to make a surprise appearance but, he was busy! David played the part of Neil Young in a celebration of "The Band's Last Waltz" at "Stramash" in Edinburgh in 2019 £8 adv / £12 door 8.30pm start

LORD BISHOP ROCKS is a high-energy rock trio based in Germany, led by American musician Lord Bishop. Formed in the late 1990s, the band has built a reputation for powerful live performances and an eclectic musical style. Their sound blends elements of hard rock, funk, blues, punk, jazz, and reggae into a unique style they call Hendrixian Motör Funk, inspired by the spirit of Jimi Hendrix. Known for relentless touring, the band has performed thousands of concerts across dozens of countries, earning a reputation as one of the most dynamic modern rock trios. Their music combines heavy riffs with groove-driven rhythms and expressive vocals, and recent releases include the 2024 album Tear Down the Empire. Blackballed are a three-piece rock band from Oldham, formed around 2012. The group centres on brothers Marshall Gill (guitar/vocals) and Leon Gill (drums), alongside bassist Tom Wibberley. Their sound is typically described as groove-heavy blues rock, blending influences from classic acts like Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top and Cream with a modern, high-energy edge. The band's music is driven by thick guitar riffs, bluesy hooks and a raw, powerful live feel, often characterised as full tilt rock with a strong groove backbone. BLACKBALLED quickly built a reputation on the live circuit, touring across the UK and Europe and appearing at festivals such as Bearded Theory and Beautiful Days. Their early releases include a self-titled EP (2013), followed by albums like Colossus (2015) and Fultons Point (2016), which helped establish their sound and growing fanbase. Frontman Marshall Gill is also known for his work with New Model Army, and Blackballed serves as a platform for a heavier, blues-influenced style. Overall, Blackballed are recognised as a hard-touring, high-energy band with a strong reputation for dynamic live performances and a distinctive blend of classic and modern rock influences. £8 adv / £12 door
An Evening With Chris Layhe (Co-Founder of the Icicle Works)
Chris Layhe is a singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is co-founder and bass player with The Icicle Works. In 1984 the Liverpool act charted in the UK Top 20 with the song Love Is A Wonderful Colour. The Icicle Works also achieved success on the US Billboard Chart with the Top 40 entry, Bird's Fly / A Whisper To A Scream. The latter being featured in the sci-fi horror series Stranger Things. Performing solo and with guest musicians, Chris has to date released two EPs, It's My Way and Caught the Spirit. An intimate evening with Chris who will playing playing a mixture of his solo material, well chosen covers and of course Icicle Works classics live. Plus a few tales and stories from his days from the bands heyday. Chris will also be available for questions, chat and greet. 8pm start - doors 7pm £5 adv / £10 door

Now celebrating over 10 years on the UK Tribute circuit, 2025 will be the bands busiest yet. Sabbotage Black Sabbath Tribute deliver the most powerful and most authentic Ozzy era Sabbath show. With well over two and a half hours of Ozzy era Sabbath in the bands repertoire, Sabbotage never fail to entertain and are the closest you can get to the God Fathers of Heavy Rock in their heyday. Sabbotage arrived on the scene in November 2014. Formed from the ashes of the already established Sabbath Tribute Snowblind. Immediately it was obvious that this band would become the most authentic and the best Black Sabbath tribute in the UK. All of the band are highly accomplished and experienced musicians sharing a great passion for early Black Sabbath in particular, which results in an unforgettable experience for all having the privilege to see them perform live. For those that missed Black Sabbath in their first incarnation this is definitely the closest you are likely to get to the real thing. Sabbotage have a repertoire of well over two and a half hours’ worth of early Black Sabbath classics to draw from and are still adding to this to keep creating the ultimate Black Sabbath tribute. Death Or Glory - Tribute To The Clash
Death or Glory are a young tribute to the only band that mattered - The Clash. Formed on International Clash Day in 2023 by Tom Mannion, Death or Glory was created with the aim of creating a tribute to The Clash that is as like-for-like as possible. He was soon joined by Sam Smith, a Joe Strummer tribute act with an eye for detail and love for The Clash that matched that of Mannion. With the addition of Jack Newton’s razor sharp drums and the multi-faceted abilities of Matt Baron (Keys, Guitars, Harmonica, Percussion) the band had all the ingredients they needed to recreate the studio sound of The Clash in the live arena. Early gigs in Manchester proved incredibly successful with attendances more than doubling with every gig and reviews and hype surrounding the band getting louder and louder. By the just the 4th show, they were playing to sell out crowds and the tour-de-force that is Death or Glory - Tribute to The Clash raced into 2024. The band pride themselves on not just recreating the sound of The Clash but the look and feel too with equipment, stage antics, clothes and attitudes that match their counterparts delivering a sound and experience as close to the spirit of The Clash that you will ever see. Death or Glory - Tribute to The Clash have just one aim; to keep the music, spirit and message of The Clash alive and in music venues for All the Young Punks (and not-so-young) to experience a show as close to the real thing as possible. Described by Bob Harris as one of Britain's greatest singer-songwriters, Angie's music has been dubbed English Americana and whilst she has been compared to Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell, she is actually like no-one else. When you listen to the depth, scope and sensitivity of her songs, you immediately recognize someone whose singular talent has been nurtured by her own extraordinary travelling life. Angie has been playing and singing all her life. From busking her way round Europe at 18 to playing at Glastonbury Festival, she gathers fans where ever she plays. With her striking looks and commanding stage presence she creates a musical force that is hard to ignore. Female guitarists are rare, those who play as well as Angie are rarer still. Angie's voice encompasses the blues growl of Janice Joplin through to the clear high tones of Joni Mitchel. Mora and The Fabulous Wonderfuls are a dynamic duo / band from Manchester, known for their unique blend of righteous anger and soul-lifting songs.
