As the singer in I Am Kloot from 1999 to 2014, John Bramwell achieved a Mercury Prize nomination for 2010’s The Sky At Night, a Top 10 chart position for 2013’s Let It All In, numerous UK and European tours and a triumphant farewell at the Queen Elizabeth Hall with an orchestra in 2014. Now, as a solo artist, Bramwell travels a very different path, a path that criss-crosses the length and breadth of the UK with a humble agenda of taking his heart-warming songs to the stage and enjoying another moment in time with his devoted fans.

Eleanor McEvoy has been exposed to music from a very early age with a musical upbringing playing the piano, violin and performing on stage with her older siblings. Eleanor graduated in music from Trinity in Dublin and set out to pay her way through life as a musician writing her own songs while waiting for the opportunity to branch out on her own. Eleanor spent four years in Ireland’s National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), she recorded studio sessions as a singer, fiddle and keyboard player and joined Irish diva Mary Black’s touring band. Embarking on full time song-writing she’s co-written with Rodney Crowell, Lloyd Cole, Henry (The Christians) Priestman, Johnny Rivers and Dave Rotheray of the Beautiful South.

Overlooking the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles Sunset Strip, Laurel Canyon hosted a community of musicians through the 1960s and 70s forming a hive of creativity in the age of hippies and flower power. Among Laurel Canyons residents were the likes of Neil Young, James Taylor, The Byrds, The Mamas & The Papas, Eagles, The Doors and Joni Mitchell. Performed by a live 6-piece band with vocals, in the first half of this concert you will hear music from the artists listed above as well as many other Laurel Canyon residents during this time. In the second half, we will perform in its entirety Carole King's 1971 masterpiece Tapestry . Of all the albums released at this time in the Laurel Canyon community, Tapestry, arguably, sums up this counterculture best. Jill Andrews gives the unsung moments the voice they have always deserved. From her days fronting Americana group, The Everbodyfields, to her successful solo career, Andrews’ music has taken her far from her East Tennessee home.

The Poozies first burst onto the folk scene in 1991, when folk music wore elaborately patterned woolly jumpers and was only seen in dingy back rooms and very late at night on BBC2 - yet from the word go they were breaking out and happily exploring the musical universe.The folk scene was then, as now, very male-dominated and so it was a conscious decision back then to be an all-female band. The name came from a den of iniquity frequented by Robert Burns, called Poozie Nancys, and there is some debate amongst the four founder members as to whether the now-obvious meaning of Poozie was realised back then but the feeling now is that its pretty rock and roll!!As with all bands that have been on the road for so long there have been various line-up changes, and although its probably fair to say a male may feel its slightly strange to be in a band with this name, there has also always been a natural choice of who will join the band and these people have also just so happened to be female. Throughout the years The Poozies have toured worldwide and attracted recognition and appreciation for their eclectic choice of material, unusual and exciting arrangements, and heart-tugging vocal harmonies.

Devoted to recreating the atmosphere of a live Joy Division gig, Transmission emulate the sound of one of the most inventive, evocative and influential groups of their era. Joy Division were formed in the late 1970s and dissolved in 1980 after the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis. The remaining members went on to form New Order and have achieved much critical and commercial success. The influence of Joy Division, however, was far reaching. They were considered the pioneering band of the post-punk movement of the late 1970s and early 1980s. AGMP presents Penetration Penetration are a punk rock band from County Durham, England formed in 1976. Their debut single, "Don't Dictate", is now acknowledged as a classic punk rock single and their debut album, "Moving Targets" (1978), is still widely admired. The band took their name from an Iggy & the Stooges song and played their first gig in October 1976. Their second gig was supporting The Stranglers at Newcastle City Hall. Significantly, the band also played at the now-legendary punk club The Roxy during its first 100 days. On the 9th of April 1977, the band appeared on the same bill as Generation X. Early in their career, the band also supported The Vibrators and toured with the Buzzcocks and they boast the original Buzzcocks drummer, John Maher in the current line-up. Their long awaited 3rd album "Resolution" was released in 2015 and has received a great response from critics and fans. Penetration are Pauline Murray, Robert Blamire, Steve Wallace, Paul Harvey & John Maher.

After breaking onto the scene with a Mixmag ‘Tune of the Month’, The Allergies (DJ Moneyshot and Rackabeat) continued in their mission to bring re-fuelled funk and feel good hip-hop to the masses. The three LPs that followed, on Brighton’s Jalapeno Records, were sonic steps forward for the pair, winning them die-hard fans and BBC 6 Music ‘Album of the Day’ and ‘Album of the Year’ awards along the way - Diplomats of Sound.

Singer/guitarist Ian McNabb cannot erase the memory of "Birds Fly (Whisper to a Scream)" from the minds of music listeners. Released in 1984, "Birds Fly" was McNabb's highest-charting single with the Icicle Works in America. In fact, with the exception of minimal alternative radio airplay for "Understanding Jane" and "Evangeline," it provided the Icicle Works' only U.S. exposure, tagging the band with a misleading one-hit wonder label.

Jon Gomm, based in Leeds, West Yorkshire in the UK, is an acoustic singer-songwriter with a revolutionary virtuoso guitar style, where he uses one acoustic guitar to create drum sounds, basslines and twisting melodies all at the same time. The emphasis is still on the soulful vocals and songwriting, and his original material is influenced by everything from Robert Johnson to Radiohead. His live shows combine deeply personal performances and a natural wit, with a once seen, never forgotten two-handed guitar style, both physical and complex, producing sounds people can barely believe are coming from a humble acoustic guitar. Jon first laid his hands on a guitar at the age of two (actually it was a ukulele - his parents couldn't find a guitar small enough). He wrote his first song at the age of six, and was soon accompanying his father, a music critic, to gigs in his hometown of Blackpool. Touring musicians would often stay at the Gomm household on the understanding Jon would get a guitar lesson, meaning he had one-to-one instruction from such blues legends as BB King and Jack Bruce of Cream. Nowadays, Jon tours worldwide. In January 2012 his song Passionflower went viral online, with the video passing 6 million hits, resulting in national TV appearances in the UK, Portugal, Holland, Brazil and Turkey.

Toby Lee - Winner of the Young Blue Artist of the Year 2023! Toby Lee is an English guitarist from Oxfordshire and has appeared on the television shows Little Big Shots and Ellen Show, as well as starring in the musical School of Rock. Magnetic Skies are a UK synth-pop and darkwave band whose cinematic electronic sound blends vintage analogue textures with soaring modern songwriting. Formed by vocalist/keyboardist Simon Kent and keyboardist Jo Womar, the project began as a studio collaboration inspired by a shared love of 80s synth-driven post-punk and electronic pop. Thomas Giles Robinson is a British singer, bassist, radio presenter and long-time LGBT rights activist, best known for the hits "Glad to Be Gay", "2-4-6-8 Motorway", and "Don't Take No for an Answer", with his Tom Robinson Band. He later peaked at No. 6 in the UK Singles Chart with his solo single "War Baby".

The Real People, from Liverpool, England, were one of the very first bands to play what is today known as Britpop, and have been quoted by Oasis as being one of their major influences. They were formed in 1988 by brothers Christopher and Anthony Griffiths, the original line up consisted of Chris Griffiths (guitar and vocals), Tony Griffiths (bass and vocals), Dave Reilly (drums)(ex China Crisis), Jay Norton (keyboards)(ex Its Immaterial) and Gordon Morgan (guitar)(ex Black). Tony Elson (drums) replaced Dave Reilly (and he was replaced by Garry Ford) and Gordon Morgan was replaced by Sean Simpson (guitar) (later to be replaced by Alan Gillibrand and then by Ian 'Sitar'). Of his 12th studio album and its enigmatic title, Destroyer's Dan Bejar offers the following: Sometime last year, I discovered that the original name for The Wild Ones (one of the great English-language ballads of the last 100 years or so) was Ken. I had an epiphany, I was physically struck by this information. In an attempt to hold on to this feeling, I decided to lift the original title of that song and use it for my own purposes. It's unclear to me what that purpose is, or what the connection is. I was not thinking about Suede when making this record. I was thinking about the last few years of the Thatcher era. Those were the years when music first really came at me like a sickness, I had it bad. Maybe The Wild Ones speaks to that feeling, probably why Suede made no sense in America. I think ken also means to know. ken was produced by Josh Wells of Black Mountain, who has been the drummer in Destroyer since 2012. The album was recorded in its entirety in the jam space/studio space that the group calls The Balloon Factory. However, unlike Poison Season, ken was not recorded as a band record, though everyone in the band does make an appearance. ken will also be available as a Deluxe LP: Pressed on opaque yellow vinyl and includes a bonus 7-inch single on black vinyl that contains solo acoustic versions of the album tracks A Light Travels Down the Catwalk and Stay Lost. An idiosyncratic, challenging and richly lyrical singer/ songwriter, Junior Brother is the pseudonym of Co. Kerry, Ireland singer Ronan Kealy. Chosen as The Irish Times’ Best Irish Act of 2019 and nominated for the 2019 Choice Music Prize for Album of the Year, Junior Brother has built a rabid following thanks to unmissable live shows, and music both excitingly forward-looking and anciently evocative. His strange stories unfold with reckless abandon upon a distinctive guitar and foot tambourine accompaniment, influenced as much by the avant-garde as music from the Middle Ages and his home place in rural Ireland.

Francis Dunnery is a world-renowned multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer whose career spans over four decades of musical evolution. Originally rising to prominence as the frontman and primary composer of the British progressive rock band It Bites, Dunnery co-wrote and performed the classic Top 10 UK hit "Calling All the Heroes," cementing his place in rock history. As a highly sought-after collaborator, Dunnery’s technical brilliance and creative versatility have seen him record and tour with some of the most iconic names in music, including Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Carlos Santana, Lauryn Hill, and Ian Brown. His ability to traverse genres—from progressive rock and pop to soul and classical guitar—has made him a respected peer among industry legends. Hailed as “one of the greatest singers” (Antonio Carlos Jobim), Joyce is a ground-breaking singer-songwriter who helped revolutionise Brazilian pop. Joyce Moreno has written songs recorded by a host of other greats - Elis Regina, Maria Bethânia, Gal Costa, and more, racking up over 400 written pieces. The legend of Brazilian music introduced a first-person feminine voice in MPB, accompanied by artful guitar mastery. In the 90s, her music gathered new life in leftfield European clubs, where the likes of Gilles Peterson and Joe Davis helped instigate a new coming of Brazilian music, resulting in her albums from the 70s and 80s being reissued and her acclaim spreading further afield.

Eddie Lundon and Gary Daly are the founder members of the band which started in Kirkby, Merseyside back in 1979. China Crisis found major success in the UK with five Top 40 singles, ten Top 50 singles and three Top 40 albums and hits across Australia, Europe and the Americas. The band are known for their string of hit singles, including African & White, Christian, Working with Fire and Steel, Black Man Ray and Wishful Thinking, The RETROspective tour will see the band performing these classics alongside songs from all of their seven studio albums.

Martin McAloon is a founding member of Prefab Sprout. Martin will be performing a 2-hour show featuring a large selection of hit songs from the bands extensive archive celebrating over 40 years of his brother, Paddy McAloon's writing. This will be a rare opportunity to hear these incredible songs performed in their natural state.

Pebbledash are a 6-piece shoegaze indie band from Cork, Ireland. The band incorporates elements of noise rock and dream pop to create textured and melodic soundscapes. Grumbling basslines and cries of guitars juxtaposed with a wash of synth submerge you in their introspective lyricism, stirring up emotion and catharsis.

There’s a difficult to describe, yet timeless quality to certain songs that transcends genre or era. It’s something that you can’t fake or contrive and it’s what lies at the core of Skating Polly’s music. Admittedly the female-driven alternative acts that inspired the band such as Veruca Salt, X, The Breeders, L7 and Babes In Toyland (the later of whom Skating Polly toured with in Europe) aren’t typical reference points for most of today’s up-and-coming bands, but maybe they should be.

Rob Green is a soul/pop artist from Nottingham who draws from the R&B, Soul, Indie, Rock and Gospel music he was raised on to inspire the music he makes.

Sam C is well known Scottish Elvis Tribute Artist. After competing internationally from the UK to Memphis, Norway and Canada- Sam has produced a show with his band that showcases the stage presence and power of how it would be to see Elvis in the 50s, 60's and 70's. Changing 3 times throughout the show, those in attendance will experience Elvis hits from each time period and authentic clothing The King wore during these times! The snazzy shirts and blazers of the 50's, the unforgettable 68 comeback special leather outfit and of course the notorious flashy jumpsuits. Sam adjusts his voice to how Elvis sang in each stage of his life as he is a massive fan himself. The band have worked tirelessly to learn each element of every song and commit to the energy just as much as Sam. Formed in 1978 with a core line-up of Jez Kerr, Martin Moscrop and Donald Johnson, A Certain Ratio emerged from the hallowed grounds of the late 70s punk scene, and from that day on they’ve moved forwards with gleeful disregard for the boundaries of style and genre, their eye fixed firmly on constant progression. It’s an ethos that’s open-minded over all else, and that’s seen the band take everything from experimental electronica to vintage funk, and filter it through their own Mancunian lens.

The Deep Forest story began in the early 90’s in the North of France with the intention of mixing ethnic music with their own electronic and jazz sounds.

The three sisters can't recall when or why they started playing, the music’s always just been there. In their late teens, the sisters joined forces with their dad, who for decades was a one man band playing old blues and country tunes for a living. This foundation of classic "roots music and Americana" settled in their hearts, but also awoke the urge of breaking the rules of traditional music. Baskery is a band built on what three people can do together and it's all about turning the music on its head, blending the straightforwardness of punk with the subtlety of singer/ songwriting. The first album, "Fall Among Thieves" (2008) was recorded in Stockholm, co-produced by Lasse Mårtén (Pink, 'Peter, Bjorn and John', Kelly Clarkson, Lykke Li, Primal Scream ). "New Friends" (2011) the follow up, the band referred to it as the "gypsy album" since it was mainly tracked on the road in various hotel rooms and band apartments, then mixed in Berlin by Blackpete (Depeche Mode, Joe Jackson, Peter Fox). As a contrast to the first two albums which took several months to make, the third one "Little Wild Life" (2013) was recorded during ten days in an old dance studio converted to a studio in former east Berlin, co-produced by Matt Wignall (Cold War Kids, J. Roddy Walston, Wargirl). All three albums received great acclaim by the press and are released in numerous countries. The releases in combination with relentless touring have given the band a reputation as one of the music scene's most noticeable live acts.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, four-times Grammy nominee, singer, composer, arranger, and instrumentalist Joyce Moreno has in her portfolio over 400 recordings of songs she has authored, interpreted by the greatest names in Brazilian popular music: from Elis Regina and Gal Costa to Milton Nascimento, Sergio Mendes, and countless others. Beyond Brazil, Joyce’s work has been recorded by Annie Lennox, Wallace Roney, Omara Portuondo, Black Eyed Peas, David Sanchez, Jon Lucien, Claus Ogerman, Gerry Mulligan, Till Brönner, Flora Purim, to name a few. Joyce’s compositions have been featured in film soundtracks (e.g., The Player by Robert Altman and Legally Blonde by Robert Luketic), animations (the Japanese anime Wolf’s Rain, in partnership with composer Yoko Kanno), TV programs, and theatrical productions. In the early 1990s, her music was embraced by DJs all over the world, starting from London, and her tune "Aldeia de Ogum" became a massive worldwide dancefloor hit, with numerous remixes. Since the beginning of her career, Joyce’s registered trademark has been the first-person feminine voice, which she pioneered; she was the first Brazilian female songwriter to express herself in this form, opening the way for countless other artists who followed. Joyce Moreno has received four nominations for the Latin Grammy (2000, 2004, 2005, 2010), and numerous awards, worldwide and in her native Brazil.
