You Have Been Summoned. Dead Time Stories is a darkly comic horror anthology play, homaging The Twilight Zone, Inside No. 9 and Tales of the Unexpected. A mysterious unnamed host, together with her silent, but ever-watchful skull companion, John, invite you to a night of unsettling storytelling, organised by the Powers That Be. Our host will open her storybook and morph into three distinct female characters, each with her own macabre story to tell. For centuries, they built a peaceful society by the water... only to have the men of Sarnath destroy them. The moon is full... and it's time for revenge. HP Lovecraft's tale of dark idols and watery doom, transported to an age of steam and incipient ecological catastrophe, is brought to life by TL Wiswell's dreamy silhouette puppetry. "The Doom That Came to Sarnath" is then proceeded by storyteller Ben Sohawon's original adaptation of "The Haunter of the Dark," Lovecraft's final, and most terrifying, work, with experimental musician Kinga Janicka adding to the creeping horror.
