Loacted in Yorkshire Thirsk Racecourse offers competitive flat racing as well as a family day out with lots of children's entertainment in the summer. The venue is used for a wide variety of events, including weddings, conferences, banquets, Christmas parties, concerts, charity functions, sports events, exhibitions, markets and caravan rallies. Thirsk railway station is half a mile from the racecourse and a free shuttle bus runs two hours before the first race and up to an hour after the last race. There is free parking for all enclosures.
