Robert Vincent

Robert Vincent

14 May 2025 - 11 Oct 2025

Robert Vincent is one of the most acclaimed new voices on the Americana music scene. Born in Crosby Liverpool, his upbringing inculcated him with a very Merseyside culture of storytelling and language. In 2013 Robert Vincent released his debut album Life in Easy Steps. Critically well received, the title track was play-listed by Radio 2. After meeting Whispering Bob Harris at an event called ‘Bluebird at the Bluecoat’ that brought the concept of the bluebird cafe in Nashville to The Bluecoat Chambers in Liverpool, the legendary radio presenter invited Robert to perform a live session on his Radio 2 show and in 2016 awarded him with his ‘Emerging Artist’ of the year award at the inaugural UK Americana Awards show in Hackney London. In 2018 his Sophomore album ‘I’ll Make the Most of my Sins’ was named UK Americana Album of the Year. Meeting and performing with musical director Ethan Johns at the award ceremony would shape his future career. In February of 2018 Robert was invited to perform on the BBC ‘Old Grey Whistle Test, For One Night Only’ closing the show. It was this performance that would propel him to number 1 and 2 in the iTunes Album and Singles Charts. Robert's latest release ‘In this Town You’re Owned' charted at number 2 in the UK Americana Charts been critically praised both in the UK and Europe and USA. At the midway point of the year American Songwriter Magazine named ‘In this Town You’re Owned’ in its top 20 albums (every genre) of 2020 to date. ‘In This Town You’re Owned’ has also picked up Americana Music Association UK Album & Artist of The Year 2021, plus Americana UK Album & Artist of the Year 2020.

Dirt Road Band

Dirt Road Band

22 May 2025 - 15 Oct 2025

The Dirt Road Band is the brainchild of guitar legend Steve Walwyn, mainly known as the longest serving guitar player in Dr Feelgood (32 years). During this time, he has amassed a massive reputation as a guitar hero in the UK, Europe, and beyond. He says, "I'd always liked the idea of the power trio-stripping everything back to the basics. Guitar, bass, and drums. To help him in this he has recruited the services of drummer Ted Duggan - professional since the 60s, including stints with Badfinger and world techno giants Banco de Gaia. I'd worked with Ted before, Steve says "I knew he would fit the gig perfectly. He certainly does. Bass player Horace Panter is unavailable for this weekend so in his place steps Norman Watt-Roy, one of Britain's best-loved bass players. He is best known today for his work with The Blockheads and Wilko Johnson. Over his long career, however, he has worked with the Clash, Madness, Nick Lowe, The Selecter, Rodger Daltrey, and provided the original bass line for Frankie Goes to Hollywood's smash hit 'Relax'. This then is Steve's dream team rhythm section that swings as hard as it rocks. We have started to develop that musical telepathy that makes a band more than just the sum of its parts. It is a really thrilling time and keeps music alive.'

A hugely popular Wirral comedy night returns for another serving of hilarity on Friday November 14, 2025. After full houses during a successful debut season in 2024 DBN Events will be serving up five more nights of comedy throughout 2025. At 6ft 1, with the longest wingspan in comedy (probably), Kate's a naturally engaging, energetic performer with effortlessly tight gags to match. Her unique background in mental health and being the only northerner in her family have given her a fresh take on the world, a distinctive voice, and fuels her high energy storytelling, whip-smart punchlines and razor-sharp observations of life's quirks through in her words queer eyes. Our opening act is daft as a brush DAVID SMITH. The circuit stalwart is Hull's answer to Bridget Jones, a self-deprecating warm and energetic comedian and in his words 'sprinkled with a pinch of council estate. Comedy is therapy for Dave and his audiences are the therapists ... regardless of the fact if they want to listen or not! Smith's delivery is strong, gives a real bouncy and energetic performance - Notts Comedy Review. And support comes from loveable Liverpudlian JACK MILLER. Jack is an observational comedian from Liverpool whose sharp wit, crowd interaction and storytelling has seen his stock rise with comedy clubs up and down the country. "On point storytelling and great delivery" -The Stand MC for the night is quick-fire gag merchant Ben Turner - a World One Liner Championship and Comedy Cellar Yorkshire New Act of the Year finalist who has racked up 3m views on Facebook Reels and was included in the Daily Telegraph and The Poke's funniest jokes of lockdown. Gary Delaney on acid Jack Gleadow Laughed so hard I snorted my tea through my nose Nick Page The comedy night is the brainchild of Dean Boodaghians-Nolan - an actor who lives in the village as part of his passion to ensure the community he loves has a wide-range of entertainment options in a venue that is already renowned for attracting brilliant performers for its live music nights. Doors on November 14 will open at 6.30pm and the comedy starts at 8pm prompt. Tickets, expected to sell fast, can be bought via the booking page Wegottickets.com

Ian McNabb

Ian McNabb

22 May 2025 - 22 May 2025

Singer/guitarist Ian McNabb cannot erase the memory of "Birds Fly (Whisper to a Scream)" from the minds of music listeners. Released in 1984, "Birds Fly" was McNabb's highest-charting single with the Icicle Works in America. In fact, with the exception of minimal alternative radio airplay for "Understanding Jane" and "Evangeline," it provided the Icicle Works' only U.S. exposure, tagging the band with a misleading one-hit wonder label.
Chris Difford

Chris Difford

23 May 2025 - 26 Sept 2025

Chris Difford is a rare breed. As a member of one of London’s best-loved bands, the Squeeze co-founder has made a lasting contribution to English music with hits such as ‘Cool For Cats’, ‘Up The Junction’, ‘Labelled With Love’, ‘Hourglass’ and ‘Tempted’.
Steve Pilgrim

Steve Pilgrim

22 May 2025 - 18 Jun 2025

Steve Pilgrim is an artist and musician with over 15 years global touring experience. Starting out as a drummer with Liverpool 'Bandwagon' band The Stands (alongside bands like The Coral and The Zutons), Steve went on to play with John Power and Cast, and over the last 12 years has been a central part of Paul Weller's touring band, sharing the stage with the likes of Noel Gallagher, Corrine Bailey-Rae and Tom Jones (to name a few). As a solo artist and singer-songwriter he's produced five studio albums, receiving the praise of fellow musicians and critics alike. The material sits proudly in the song-writing idiom of the acoustic folk/pop artists of the 60s while exploring the challenges of living and loving in the 21st century. Steve's songs are simultaneously celebratory and melancholy, intimate and honest, bringing into focus the struggles we all face and the humility that unites us.
The Worried Men

The Worried Men

2 Aug 2025 - 2 Aug 2025

In the winter months of 1994, guitarist JAMIE THYER took time out from playing on demonstrations for Marshall amplification and Rotosound strings. He began writing and rehearsing with a rhythm section under the ironic name of THE WORRIED MEN. Initially, they considered that the originality of their style and direction would place them on the outer peripheries of fashion motivated rock music, yet, because of their ability to entertain and not merely play, enthusiastic audiences, promoters and even record companies swiftly disproved this! Their live album Fear and Loathing at the Wünder Bar was recommended by Venue and AWOL magazines, and despite a lack of formal promotion, their local gigs attracted an avalanche of press and an ever-growing mailing list. As a direct result of this, THE WORRIED MEN embarked on a relentless succession of nationwide dates, averaging around four or five gigs per week at such venues as NOTTINGHAM ROCK CITY, London's famous MARQUEE CLUB, etc, alongside some of the worlds leading rock and blues musicians, including ROBIN TROWER, CHICKEN SHACK, WILKO JOHNSON, ROBERT CRAY, JEFFERSON STARSHIP, besides many others - always to an overwhelming reception. (Partly due to the practice of constantly adding to their repertoire, thereby ensuing no two shows are the same). It seemed as though a tired and jaded rock scene needed their fresh approach! THE WORRIED MEN continue touring around England and Ireland, often seen in the company of PETER GREEN, JOHNNY WINTER, NINE BELOW ZERO, WALTER TROUT, etc. Recently, Jamie was invited to join forces with MOTT THE HOOPLE'S VERDEN ALLEN on an adventure which produced the album Love You and Leave You (Angel Air Records), taking in many gigs at top venues, BBC radio broadcasts and an opportunity to headline the main stage at Cambridge Rock Festival; each episode earning Jamie much praise, much press and many plaudits.

Findlay Napier

Findlay Napier

7 Nov 2025 - 7 Nov 2025

Widely regarded as one of the finest performers on the UK music scene, Findlay's as comfortable on the main stage of Cambridge Folk Festival with folk rock supergroup The Magpie Arc as he is in an intimate acoustic show in the back room of a pub. This fact was further highlighted when Napier was the first solo act ever to be nominated for Live Act of the Year at the Scot's Trad Music awards in 2018. Tirelessly creative, he has been touring and releasing music since the early noughties. First with groundbreaking trad folk band Back of the Moon, then with Nu-Folk pioneers Findlay Napier and the Bar Room Mountaineers and most recently as a solo act working under the guidance of legendary songwriter Boo Hewerdine. His breakthrough solo album VIP: Very Interesting Persons (produced by Boo Hewerdine), was number two in The Telegraph's top folk albums of 2014. He followed it with 2017's Glasgow described by The Scotsman as 'a paean to his adopted hometown' which led to a number of high-profile gigs including five tours as the opening act for Eddi Reader. In 2021 he released It Is What It Is, a collaboration album in all but name, with producer and multi-instrumentalist Angus Lyon, which Folk Radio UK called 'a captivating, indispensable work; it is what it is and what it is, is magnificent.' The Outsider album project, which raised £11,000 in fundraising through Creative Scotland's Crowdfunded programme in 2023, will be released by The Bothy Society. Produced by Napier's long-term mentor and co-writer, Boo Hewerdine, and featuring performances from Liam Chapman (C-Duncan, Billy No Mates), Kevin McGuire (Eddi Reader) and Neil McColl (The Bible, Peggy Seeger) and Angus Lyon (Blazin Fiddles). Recorded in four short sessions between July and December 2023 at Saltwell Studio, Chem 19 and Gran's House it's Napier's most ambitious recording project to date. The deluxe version of the album features sixteen original tracks celebrating outsiders in love and outsiders in life.

Blue Rose Code

Blue Rose Code

10 May 2025 - 18 Aug 2025

A nomad, both geographically and musically, songwriter Ross Wilson aka Blue Rose Code writes straight from – and to – the heart. His songs address universal themes of love, loss, travel, home, accepting the past and embracing the future in a deeply personal way. They are variously painted with the vibrant colours of folk, Americana, jazz, country, soul, pop and, increasingly, celtic traditions; an eclecticism that has seen him compared to John Martyn, Van Morrison and Tom Waits amongst
Pat Fulgoni Blues Experience

Pat Fulgoni Blues Experience

4 Jul 2025 - 4 Jul 2025

Acclaimed singer Pat Fulgoni makes his debut with his top-notch 5-piece blues band, already with European blues festival dates under their belts and equally at home in UK clubs, venues, and festivals. Over at SXSW in Texas, Billboard Magazine declared, Pat Fulgoni could sing a pearl from its oyster. Domino Club, Leeds says, Pat is the real deal. You wont find a finer blues singer working today. Indeed, Pat has sung across many styles, including major dance floor collaborations with the likes of festival headlining acts Camo & Krooked, Zion Train, Technimatic, London Elektricity, and Murdock. But it's truly magical when he sings the blues, especially when backed by the stunning musicianship of his band featuring Jacob Beckwith on guitar, Rory Wells on bass, Sam Bolt on keys, and Zebedee Sylvester on drums. Dont miss their first appearance at Wirral Blues Club: In 2021, the "Dark Side of the Blues - Pat Fulgoni Live In Prague album reached #2 in Roots Music Report's UK albums chart (approx 300 US radio stations), with Chicago Blues Guide maintaining it's a collection of impeccably reworked blues and rock covers, and Blues Matters Mag writing, I was completely blown away because he can sing, I mean, really sing. Ridiculously well. Expect soaring soulful vocals over vibey guitar and piano-oriented blues. Sometimes balls out, sometimes deeply heart-wrenching, Blues In Britain magazine is quite right to say it's "a blues rock set to cherish... Pat and co just do them so well. The Pat Fulgoni Blues Experience set includes original compositions alongside glorious renditions of Ray Charles, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Sonny Boy Williamson, John Lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson, and more.
Xander and the Peace Pirates

Xander and the Peace Pirates

9 May 2025 - 5 Oct 2025

Xander and the Peace Pirates are a testament to musical integrity and personal strength. Combining soul, blues and rock, their pervasive blend of inspired song writing and memorable performances has already seen them enrapture audiences from around the world. Brothers Keith and Stu Xander were discovered on YouTube by Gibson Brands CEO Henry Juszkiewicz and during their subsequent performances for the company at numerous international events from LA to Dubai the band caught the attention of not just an ever-growing collective of fans but also industry legends such as Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Kiss, Rolling Stones) and Rick Allen (Def Leppard). Defying all expectations, lead singer and guitarist Keith Xander was born without a right arm below the elbow and plays guitar using a prosthesis and hook with a pick attached at the end. Although many who have seen Keith play believe him to be an extraordinary guitarist despite of his perceived 'disability' he is a virtuoso musician in his own right and his playing rivals the best in the industry. In 2014 the band ended their 5-year tenure as the resident band at Liverpool's iconic Cavern Club pub and went on to support the likes of Joe Bonamassa, Joe Satriani, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, The Temperance Movement, ex-Whitesnake's Bernie Marsden and even Bon Jovi at Old Trafford Stadium to name a few. 2016 saw the band release their debut album, titled '11:11', on V2 Benelux Records, recorded at the world-famous Wisseloord studios in Hilversum, outside of Amsterdam. The album went on to receive critical acclaim from the likes of Classic Rock, Planet Rock Radio and from BBC Radio's Bob Harris. With haunting riffs, genius melodies and a uniquely infectious charisma, Xander and the Peace Pirates continue to share their musical passion to standing ovations, while spreading a universal message of peace, love and harmony.
Katy Hurt

Katy Hurt

25 May 2025 - 20 Jun 2025

Haunting blues vocals, towering country rock guitars, even a reggae vibe can be found in live performances. Katy Hurt is one of those rare talents that can write and perform with equal impact. Her 2019 single Revved Up prompted Roland Monger, Music Blogger, to say “Hurt’s voice takes Dolly Parton’s twang and Beth Ditto’s soul, wraps it all up in a basket with a bow before setting fire to it and leaving it on your door step.”
