Alfie Moore: Acopalypse Now

Alfie Moore: Acopalypse Now

17 Apr 2026 - 26 Nov 2026

The Four Horsemen of Rising Crime, Global Warming, AI and Culture Wars are galloping towards us. Are we on the road to hell? And can we avoid the potholes? In his brand new tour show 'Fair Cop' Alfie has the antidote to the breakdown of law and order, fake news and the price of baked beans. Somewhere in a parallel universe little Alfie’s natural comedic performance skills were recognised by his doting parents who encouraged and developed his blossoming talent. After several years as a stage school brat Alfie’s angelic face was launched on stage and screen and the rest is history. Meanwhile, in this universe Alfie Moore was told to stop messing about in class before being ‘encouraged’ into the grinding, grimy world of an apprenticeship in the Sheffield steelworks. When recession hit he traded steel for copper by joining Humberside Police. In his 40s the two universes collided when Alfie made a bid for showbiz success – but unfortunately 30 years of shift-work and being punched in the face quite a lot, had left him with ‘a face for radio’. A face not so much ‘lived in’ as inhabited by a settlement of squatters with little regard to property maintenance and repair.

Ian Stone - Looking for the Wow

Ian Stone - Looking for the Wow

2 May 2026 - 23 Nov 2026

Life can’t just be the humdrum, the mundane and the routine before the inevitable slide to disease, decay and death. Why can’t we sneak in a bit of awesome, a tad of amazing and maybe a smidge of wonderful? A forest canopy opening onto a huge vista would be enchanting for some but my ancestors wandered in the desert for forty years, I think we’ve been outdoors enough. Others get their fix from the spiritual but I’ve been harbouring a grudge against God since my mother stopped me going to Arsenal after my Barmitzvah. Forty nine years ago. ’God will be watching’ she said. Well, at least he got to see the game. The point is, life could be so much better so I’m on the lookout. Come and join me on the hunt.

Shakatak

Shakatak

2 May 2027 - 2 May 2027

Shakataks unique fusion of jazz-funk and pop made them one of the most influential bands of the 80s. From dancefloors to airwaves, their music became a soundtrack to the decade, with hits like "Down On The Street", "Night Birds", "Dark Is The Night" and "Easier Said Than Done" still instantly recognizable today. Despite over four decades in the spotlight, Shakataks sound remains as fresh as ever, thanks to their signature blend of smooth vocals, tight rhythms and soulful keyboard melodies. Their live shows are a masterclass in musicianship, overflowing with the same effervescent energy that first brought them fame. Throughout their long career Shakatak have released over 50 CDs plus several DVDs and most of the band's extensive back catalogue is available world-wide on Spotify and the usual outlets. For live performances the band consists of original members Bill Sharpe (keys), Jill Saward (lead voc, perc & flt), Roger Odell (drs), George Anderson (bs gtr) and Keith Winter (gtr) augmented with Jacqui Hicks (bvs & sax) or Debby Bracknell (bvs & flt) producing a musically dynamic and entertaining show from the 6 piece line-up. Shakatak have enjoyed a level of success and career longevity rarely paralleled in contemporary music but then Shakatak is a particularly unusual group. Because of the nature of their music their fan base is one that is far reaching while always retaining an underground element. This paradox sees the band, who are known primarily for their musicality, enjoying both high cult status and instant recognition as a household name due to their numerous hit recordings. Taking only the last decade of a 40 year plus career the band performed at the Cape Town International Jazz festival and they headlined at the Swansea Jazz Festival. After their annual trip to Japan the band played several dates in Mexico and in August Shakatak performed in Jersey for the first time. In September they returned to Germany and Holland for a two week tour and further concerts in Budapest, Kosice and Minsk plus UK dates finish off a busy 2014. Having had a few years to tour the world and get new ideas the band recorded a new album through 2022 and 2023. After a 4 year wait the new Shakatak album Eyes of the World was released at the end of October 2023. Featuring 14 new songs it was received with great critical acclaim and appeared in several charts around the world. 2026 continues to see the band tour worldwide taking in Africa, Indonesia, Germany, Holland, France and of course an extensive tour schedule for the UK. So life is good for the Shaks!

Dan Owen

Dan Owen

27 Nov 2026 - 27 Nov 2026

Known for his arresting, husky vocals and gritty, blues-infused pop/rock, Dan Owen is a British alternativesinger/songwriter from Shropshire, England. Owen became interested in music at an early age, taking up guitar at nine years old and performing with his sister, who had taken up singing. Their Dad encouraged them to perform at open-mike events at local pubs throughout their teens. After his sister left for University, Owen took to performing solo and began appearing at live events at various pubs and clubs throughout the area surrounding Shropshire. Performing under the name "Bluesboy Dan", he gradually earned a committed fan base with his passionate versions of songs by artists such as Robert Johnson and John Lee Hooker while also focusing on writing his own material. In 2012 an online video of the young guitarist performing Bob Dylan's "The Ballad of Hollis Brown" began to generate widespread attention. After a couple more years of relentless performing in which he began to include his own songs, he was signed to Atlantic Records in 2015 and put out his debut EP, Bad for Me, later that year. In 2016 he put out his second EP, Open Hands & Enemies, before a European tour with Birdy as support act. He then spent 2017 writing and recording his debut full length effort. The album -- titled Stay Awake with Me -- arrived in August 2018. Owen promoted the record with a U.K. and European tour that fall. Seriously, the guy was that good. - ONE ON ON Plus support act Maddie Jane Warren, 28 year old singer songwriter from North Devon. Her original music captures the essence of heartfelt storytelling and Americana-inspired melodies, drawing inspiration from her surroundings and personal experiences.
