A day and night of live music curated by local folk label Basin Rock, with artists travelling as far as field as Norway, Ireland, Scotland and Yorkshire.

Following on from the success of 2024’s “Any Port in a Storm” tour, King Creosote’s 2025’s follow-up “Any Storm in a Teacup” promises a night of modular synth, I DES tracks and KC classics.

Penguin Cafe was founded in 2009 by Arthur Jeffes, following in the footsteps of his father, Simon Jeffes of the iconic Penguin Cafe Orchestra. Arthur formed Penguin Cafe with a brand new line-up, bringing together a talented and disparate group of musicians from the likes of Suede, Gorillaz and Razorlight.

Named after the old Northumbrian word for twilight, The Darkening comprises four North-East England-based members: Kathryn Tickell (Northumbrian smallpipes, fiddle, vocals), Amy Thatcher (accordion, synth, clogs, vocals), Kieran Szifris (octave mandolin), Joe Truswell (drums, percussion, programming, plus Stef Conner from Cambridge (vocals, lyres, sistrum) and Josie Duncan from the Isle of Lewis (vocals, clarsach). (Live concerts feature either Stef or Josie).
