Freestyle Embroidered Beaded Brooches Workshop
During this workshop you will have the chance to make your own freestyle hand beaded and embroidered brooch. The technique you learn can also be applied to bigger items such as collars or clothing panels. We will show you how to create a unique decorative brooch using a combination of a few simple embroidery stitches beads and findings. All materials will be provided.
Bath Bomb and Bath melt Guardian and Child workshop
Join us for a fun and interactive guardian and child workshop where youll learn how to make your very own bath bombs and bath melts in this beginner friendly session. Youll create 2 customized bombs and 4 melts that you can take home with you, with a variety of vibrant scents and colours to choose from. Theyll be perfect to enjoy at home or to give as gifts. Suitable for children ages 7 and over and to be accompanied by one guardian - the price is for one adult and one child.
Cappuccino and Casual Crafts: Pressed flower jars and bookmark
Join us for another Cappuccino and Casual Crafts morning. This session you will decorate a glass jar with pressed flowers and create a laminated bookmark. These craft sessions will be held in our picnic area and are designed to be a comfortable and relaxed crafting atmosphere. Ticket price includes materials and a cup of cappuccino (or latte, or even a tea if you prefer!). This workshop is suitable for beginners and is for adults (16 years and older).
Cappuccino and Casual Crafts: Folk decoupage vase
Join us for our next Cappuccino and Casual Crafts morning. This session will be decorating a glass vase with folk inspired decoupage. These craft sessions will be held in our picnic area and are designed to be a comfortable and relaxed crafting atmosphere. Join us for our next Cappuccino and Casual Crafts morning. This session will be creating a needle felted scene inspired by the natural world. You will create a piece of work big enough to be mounted on a card or put in a small frame as a memento. These craft sessions will be held in our picnic area and are designed to be a comfortable and relaxed crafting atmosphere. Ticket price includes the fleece and use of equipment and a cup of cappuccino (or latte, or even a tea if you prefer!). This workshop is suitable for beginners and is for adults (16 years and older).
Cappuccino and Casual Crafts: Air Dry Clay Tealight Holder
Join us for another Cappuccino and Casual Crafts morning. In this workshop you will create an air dry clay tealight holder. Please note these can only be used for electric tealights not real ones as they will be flammable. These craft sessions will be held in our picnic area and are designed to be a comfortable and relaxed crafting atmosphere. Ticket price includes the tealight holder, an electric tealight and a cup of cappuccino (or latte, or even a tea if you prefer!). This workshop is suitable for beginners and is for adults (16 years and older).

Inspired by this years exhibition focusing on folklore, create your own folk tale shadow puppets to tell a story. These will be group tickets- 1 ticket is for up to 4 attendeesand at least one of the four must be an adult (eg. one adult with 3 kids or 2 adults with 2 kids) Times & ages: (Two separate sessions) 10.30am-12.30pm forages 8-10 1.30pm-3.30pm for ages 11+ Our workshops are very popular. Tying in with our folklore themed summer exhibition, today we are making Green Man inspired faces using collage techniques. Please note that the minimum age for the activity is 5 years old - we can usually accommodate under 5s, we have crayons and paper available to keep them occupied but they will not be able to complete the activity. Large child-minding groups (6 or more children) please call in advance. Our workshops are very popular. Our new series of Afternoon Arts workshops for ages 12+ explores different approaches and techniques to creating 2D and 3D artworks. This series of workshops cover abstract art, Pen & Ink, clay, Life Drawing, screen printing and Landascapes. Workshop 1: Abstract Art - Using the medium of acrylic and the inspiration of abstract art, well explore the use of colour to create different moods and effects. Workshop 2: Pen & Ink -An introduction to the technique of creating images using pen and ink. Includes the use of ink, pens and biros! Workshop 3: Mythical Creatures in Clay - Using this years museum exhibition theme of folklore, we thought it would be great to create a mythical creature in clay. To allow more time we have split this session over two consecutive days, and have charged this as pay for one day and get the second free! Workshop 4: Life Drawing- Explore the human form and how to draw a person. Model will be clothed! Workshop 5: Pop Art Screen Printing - Taking inspiration from the Pop Art movement, well use the screen-printing technique to create a t-shirt. This session will be slightly longer to allow for the use of two colours in the printing. 4-6.30pm. There will be a small charge to cover the cost of the t-shirt. Workshop 6: Landscapes - For this session we will be out on location (most likely at the town park) with a variety of media to enjoy creating in the outdoors. This session will be slightly longer and run from 4pm-6.30pm and subject to good weather. Therell be an indoor option if its raining! The workshop cost includes all materials and resources excluding the t-shirt for workshop 6, however, you are very welcome to bring your own sketchbooks and artists materials. You are welcome to accompany your child if they are a little lacking in confidence.
