Fat Dog

Fat Dog

1 Nov 2025 - 1 Nov 2025

Fat Dog’s particular brand of chaos seems a fine antidote to the remains of pent-up lockdown frustration. The collective scream has found a mouth; the potential energy has been activated. Joe’s singing, his words slurred and distorted in the time-honoured tradition of delta bluesmen, melds to Jazz’s wordless vocals, high and keening like some punk banshee princess, equal parts Grace Slick and Yoko Ono.
LIBERATO

LIBERATO

19 Sept 2025 - 19 Sept 2025

Eat Your Own Ears presents LIBERATO at Troxy. Who is this anonymous act who's shaking Italy right now called LIBERATO Valentine's day, 2017. NOVE MAGGIO is released on LIBERATO's youtube channel. No one knows who he is. The track, a heart-wrenching take on a love story gone awry, is completely sung in Neapolitan. The production sounds like nothing else out there, smoky, dirty but inherently dramatic. The track takes Italy's sleepy musical scene by storm in a matter of weeks. LIBERATO's songs have now reached more than 100 millions of streams both on his official YouTube and on Digital platform channels. From the start, his songs and his videos have created a new Neapolitan aesthetic, way far from the stereotypical grime-and-crime view of the city. More than the messenger, the important part is - as almost always the message. And right now that message is FORZA NAPOLI Age restriction 14+

Patrick Watson

Patrick Watson

7 Nov 2025 - 7 Nov 2025

‘Chamber-folk’ doesn’t quite do it justice; 'indie-pop' isn’t entirely accurate. Watson is musically omnivorous – he’s produced lush orchestral pop, experimental junk percussion, mariachi brass and even sci-fi R&B. But whatever mode he’s in, he achieves an impossible balance of maximalism and subtlety, with meticulous arrangements supporting his tender songcraft. Tonight Patrick Watson is joined by his full band, with whom he’s been performing for over a decade. In 2007, they were recipients of Canada’s prestigious Polaris Music Prize for their album Close To Paradise. Outside of his band, Watson has composed a number of scores for film and TV, notably for The Walking Dead and Wim Wenders’ Everything Will Be Fine This concert will start at the advertised time and set times will be confirmed closer to the event.

Matt Berninger

Matt Berninger

25 Aug 2025 - 27 Aug 2025

Matt Berninger is the vocalist and lyricist for Grammy Award-winning band The National. His songwriting has long garnered praise for its poignant clarity, jagged-edged wit and intimately emotive melodies. The band’s career spans ten studio albums, including First Two Pages of Frankenstein and Laugh Track, both issued in 2023. Late 2024 saw the release of The National’s first proper live album, Rome. Together with his wife Carin Besser, Berninger produced the band’s 2013 feature-length documentary Mistaken for Strangers, directed by Matt’s brother Tom. Outside of The National, Berninger formed EL VY with Brent Knopf (Menomena) in 2014. The duo released their debut album Return to the Moon the following year. Berninger’s “gorgeous” (Rolling Stone) solo debut, Serpentine Prison, came out in 2020, produced by the legendary Booker T. Jones. His second solo effort, Get Sunk, is due to be released in May 2025. Berninger is also a visual artist, and spent a decade as a creative director in New York City. There’s a fluidity between his work as a painter/sculptor and lyricist/vocalist: he paints on white boards of song titles and lyrics while working in the studio, and he created a massive canvas of a pink rabbit before he ever wrote the National song of the same name. Berninger's latest medium is baseballs, on which he pens lyrics and poems across their white leather and red stitching. His songwriting is deeply rooted in his artmaking, as both lean toward fragmentary, collage-like curiosity. There is a porous boundary between artist, poet, lyricist and singer, and all contribute to Berninger’s creative wanderings. Booking fees include a £2.25 venue restoration levy per ticket. Guardian Football Weekly Live

Guardian Football Weekly Live

11 Sept 2025 - 11 Sept 2025

It’s almost two years since Football Weekly’s last live show and we are returning for One Night Only to Troxy in East London on September 11th and we’d love just shy of two thousand of you to join us (please). A break of almost 24 months surely means that Max, Barry and the assembled Football Weekly glitterati are brimming with new anecdotes, opinions and video content ideas... doesn’t it? The show will feature the podcast’s unique take on the world of football - plus, audience interaction, special guests and stories the lawyers don’t let us tell on the podcast. To give you a flavour of what to expect, previous iterations of the live shows have featured Mark Langdon’s Meat Raffle, Steve Claridge’s fruit eating marathon and a t-shirt that got us in trouble with one of football’s major governing bodies. A little more about the hosts: Max Rushden: Max has moved to Australia (but he doesn't like to talk about it) so we are capitalising on his extended summer in the UK by putting him to work and staging a live Football Weekly extravaganza. Max plays Sunday League football (he doesn't like to talk about that either). What better way to spend an evening than hearing a middle-aged man compare the struggles of marking Lamine Yamal to the challenges he faces when chugging around the pitch for 45 minutes against East Heatherdale 4th in Melbourne’s local vets League D. We’ve even got some footage of him in action. Barry Glendenning: Munich. Donning a blonde wig in his local. Lip syncing to Call Me Maybe. When it comes to Football Weekly live shows people always leave seeing Barry in a new light. This show will be no different. Barry lives in a state of constant irritation that Max stereotypes him as the pod ‘clown’, who no one takes seriously and then proceeds each live show to tell an anecdote so humiliating and revealing the gear change Max has to pull off to get us back to talking about Manchester United’s transfer window is extraordinary. You won’t want to miss it. Booking fees include a £2.25 venue restoration levy per ticket. Accessible Bookings: Tickets for Troxy’s step-free seated accessible area are available directly from this listing as Accessible Area tickets. Gig For Gaza Feat. Paul Weller, Primal Scream, Inhaler & More
Venue presale: Wed July 30th @ 10am General sale: Fri August 1st @ 10am A special night of music and solidarity will take place at East London's historic Troxy on Friday, October 17th, 2025, to raise urgent funds for those affected by the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Curated once again by Paul Weller, this benefit concert follows the success of last year’s Gig for Gaza at Brixton Academy, which featured performances by Weller, Kneecap, Primal Scream, Paloma Faith, Liam Bailey and raised over £125,000 for aid efforts. This upcoming event promises another unforgettable lineup, including Primal Scream, Inhaler, a stripped-back acoustic set from Maverick Sabre, and a performance from Paul Weller himself - bringing together some of the most compelling voices in music for a vital cause. Every penny raised from the evening will go directly to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) and Gaza Forever - two highly respected organisations providing essential on-the-ground support in Gaza. Their work includes delivering food parcels, critical medical supplies, and emergency shelter to civilians facing the devastating impact of ongoing conflict, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system. This event offers more than just an incredible night of music - it’s a chance to stand in solidarity with those enduring unimaginable hardship, and to contribute meaningfully to life-saving humanitarian aid for those facing displacement, violence, and genocide. Every ticket sold and every donation made will help bring relief and hope to people who need it most. The evening will also feature guest speakers and short films. The artwork has been designed by Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack, who have consistently used their platform to demand an immediate end to the brutal occupation and oppression of the Palestinian people. Booking fees include a £2.25 venue restoration levy per ticket. Accessible Bookings: Tickets for Troxy’s step-free seated accessible area are available directly from this listing as Accessible Area tickets.
