All In Good Time by Bill Naughton

'All in Good Time' is a classic, heartfelt Northern-comedy, penned by Bill Naughton (who is also known for 'Alfie' & 'Spring & Port Wine'), and was originally staged back in 1963.
The story follows a young, newly-wed couple, Violet and Arthur Fitton, as they navigate the early parts of married life, while living in the Fitton family home. The play looks at working-class life in the 1960s, tackling themes of intimacy and family relations with a sense of humour and a lot of heart. The play, originally presented here at TLT in 1981 and once again in 1998, was brought to the 'silver screen' in 1966 as 'The Family Way' starring Hayley Mills & Hywel Bennett, and was actually filmed locally in and around Naughton's 'home town' of Bolton.
Directed by Alex Haymes.
