After graduating from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama two years ago, Elijah has established himself as one of the UKs most exciting male jazz singers. Elijah released his debut EP, One of Her Clowns in June 2023. The EP marks Elijahs first foray into writing and releasing original music, fusing his love of jazz with soul, singer-songwriter and folk sensibilities. Elijah has a wonderful voice - with an almost Randy Newman-like quality, yet with an engaging sense of fun and Swing. Expect classics from the songbooks of Nat King Cole and Mel Torm, selections from the likes of Kurt Elling and Muse, as well as Elijahs own writing from his debut EP and beyond. The other half of this excellent quartet are top rated drummer Mark Whitlam and bassist Paul Jefferies.

Since then, weve received numerous requests to invite him back - this time as a featured artist. Were delighted to welcome him for his acclaimed show 'Shades of Miles', a celebration of the legendary trumpeter Miles Davis (remember the best selling jazz album of all time Kind of Blue)? The performance showcases how Davis' was a pioneer of several major jazz movements in the 20th century, ultimately becoming a global icon. Paul Higgs' subtle and lyrical trumpet style is perfectly suited to Miles music, and hell be performing both well-loved classics and some lesser-known gems from the Miles Davis repertoire. Joining Paul on stage will be a stellar rhythm section: Jonathan Taylor on piano, Paul Jefferies on bass, and Charlie Stratford on drums.
