Guitar Heads is a new project formed by virtuoso Paul Rose (Band of Friends, Paul Rose Band) and Jim Kirkpatrick (FM, Bernie Marsden, Band of Friends). They will perform two blistering sets of guitar-driven classics from the eclectic to the popular but always highlighting the guitar and the gear. A band for guitar heads! Joining them on this UK 2024 run is the powerhouse rhythm section of Chris Childs and Harry James on bass and drums respectively from the legendary British rock band Thunder.

The third member to join this amazing band is Guitar Genus Ken Nicol. Ken's background is to say the least very varied from the realms of Steeleye Span and Magna Carta to Al Stewart. Ken is regarded as one of the finest acoustic players around. Last but by no means least is Simon Hough the former lead vocalist of Big Country for over a decade. Simon took over the Big Country vocal duties after Mike Peters left the band. Legendary singer Tony Christie has found international fame with hits like I Did What I Did For Maria, Walk Like A Panther, Las Vegas and of course the number one single (Is This The Way To) Amarillo. Tony’s Irish roots (his grandmother and grandfather played in a ceilidh band) are celebrated on the album The Great Irish Songbook that came out in 2015. Collaborating with crossover folk band Ranagri, Tony produced a stunning set of traditional songs. Following on from the success of The Great Irish Songbook, Tony Christie and Ranagri have recorded a second album together, The Great Irish Songbook Vol II. In celebration of this they will be doing a short tour together in November and December at a number of venues from Glasgow to Southampton. Ranagri are Eliza Marshall, Donal Rogers, Eleanor Dunsdon and Jordan Murray, and are already well known and much loved to audiences in Greater Manchester. We are really pleased to be one of the few venues selected to host this short joint tour.

The Frank and Walters Paul Linehan is one of Irelands most talented and inspirational singer / songwriters. For nearly 30 years Paul has penned and performed hundreds of songs with The Frank and Walters which have captured the hearts and minds of generations. The band originally became world famous on the 90s indie scene and have produced seven studio albums. Paul has lost none of his talent or motivation to produce fantastically crafted and catchy indie songs and continues to write new material to this day. Fronted by Buster Bloodvessel (born Douglas Trendle), the band was formed in 1976 while the members were at school together, and among their early incarnations were known as Stoop Solo and the Sheet Starchers. None of the members had any formal musical training, not even the ability to play any instruments. They were popular during the late 1970s and early 1980s, a period when lots of similar ska bands filled the charts. Some of their hits include 'My Girl Lollipop', 'Lip Up Fatty', 'Special Brew' and 'Ne-Ne-Na-Na-Na-Na-Nu-Nu'. One of the main reasons for their notoriety was because of their outlandish, larger-than-life, huge-tongued & shaven-headed front man. Buster´s exploits got them banned from the British TV chart show Top of the Pops (which included dressing as Henry VIII and singing to a blow-up doll for the song 'Lorraine', pouring a large can of baked beans over his head, and dressing in a can-can dancer´s dress to promote their single 'Can-Can').
