The Wind in the Willows - A One-Man Performance
Dive into summer with Mat Joness sparkling one-man performance of Kenneth Grahames classic The Wind in the Willows. Mats sensational single-handed storytelling makes the original 1908 text leap from the book to the stage, bringing to life the timeless characters of Mole, Ratty and Badger as they follow the irrepressible Toad on his hapless misadventures. Indulge in the tale afresh, straight from the authors own words, as youve never heard it before! This performance will be staged outdoors in the summer sun, the bar will be open for refreshments and you're welcome to bring blankets or chairs but please be considerate to other visitors in their placement. In the case of severe weather the performance may be moved inside.

All the members of this long running group are also accomplished multi-instrumentalists and singers - with something to appeal to everyone in the family, young and old. Set in Diss, Norfolk, the play tells the little-known true story of Robert Carleton, a 17th-century tailor and his secret relationship with his apprentice Jon Lincoln. The story takes a dark turn when Jon's fiancé, Mary, comes for dinner with the two tailors. Through powerful storytelling and poetic language, Meat reimagines Carleton's experience with heart and humanity challenging audiences to confront the past while reflecting on how far weve come, and how far we still have to go.
