The List

Wyndham's Theatre

Wyndham's was opened in 1899 by the actor-manager Charles Wyndham, who with engaging egotism named it after himself. William Sprague designed the grade II listed building in a classical style using Portland Stone. Many renowned thesps (and also Madonna) have trodden its boards; the young Charles Laughton made a name for himself here, Diana Rigg banished the shade of Emma Peel with her terrifying Medea, and it saw the record-breaking London run of Art. The theatre seats 759 over four floors and has three licensed bars. Leicester Square Tube (Northern / Piccadilly) is directly adjacent, and Charing Cross surface rail is nearby. The theatre is served by bus routes 24, 29 and 176.

All My Sons

14 Nov 2025 - 7 Feb 2026

Arthur Miller’s All My Sons is his first and most abiding hit play. This November it returns to the West End in a new production from visionary director Ivo Van Hove (A View from the Bridge, A Little Life), who reunites with Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Network) alongside Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Hard Truths, The Amen Corner) and Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You, Death of England: Delroy). Respected, self-made businessman Joe (Bryan Cranston) prides himself on providing for his wife and their two sons. While wartime delivers profits for the family, it comes at a price when his partner is charged with criminal manufacturing deals, and his eldest son goes missing in action. Peacetime brings little peace of mind as Joe’s true involvement in the activity begins to surface, and he is suddenly confronted by the consequences of his actions. Arthur Miller skewers the dishonest promise of the American Dream in this disturbingly prescient play. Born with Teeth

13 Aug 2025 - 1 Nov 2025

In these dangerous times, who will burn brightest — and who will burn out? Winter 1591. It is a dangerous time for artists: the country is full of conspiracy and paranoia. In the backroom of a pub, writing sensations Kit Marlowe and Will Shakespeare are forced together in a creative union. Alone, with the table as their stage and battlefield, they sharpen their pens – and let their genius fly. Across three secret meetings, the rivals duel and flirt like their lives depend on it – and with spies everywhere, betrayal is so tempting. Marking its West End premiere this summer, Liz Duffy Adams’ Born With Teeth is a thrilling imagining of the relationship between two literary icons at odds with their time. RSC Co-Artistic Director Daniel Evans directs Ncuti Gatwa (Doctor Who, Sex Education) and Edward Bluemel (Killing Eve, My Lady Jane) as the poets who square off in a game of wits, words, and powerplay. Performances begin 13 August for a strictly limited 11-week season at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre. AUDIO DESCRIBED: Saturday, 20 September, 2:30pm CAPTIONED: Saturday, 4 October, 2:30pm
