The YMCA Theatre is part of the Scarborough YMCA complex. It is a very well-equipped 290-seat theatre which plays host to numerous productions each year. As well as these productions, we produce and present many of our own productions throughout the year including a packed summer season and traditional pantomime.

Humdinger Words for Whippersnappers and Guttersnipes
A comedy-cabaret poetry extravaganza led by stage hypnotist-turned-primary school teacher, Ben Dali. Framed as a school day with an unusually entertaining supply teacher, experience this fast-paced journey through elements of the Key Stage 2/3 curriculums. Using sharp wordplay, mind-bowing trivia and visual humour, 'Mr Dali' combines performance poetry, comedy and his hypnotic past to celebrate language, curiosity and confidence. Including a balloon-modelling lesson, joyful exploration of English's finest 'Humdinger Words' and genuine improvised rhyming mentalism. There's also a Show-and-Tell, for children to perform their own poems.
