The YMCA Theatre is part of the Scarborough YMCA complex. It is a very well-equipped 290-seat theatre which plays host to numerous productions each year. As well as these productions, we produce and present many of our own productions throughout the year including a packed summer season and traditional pantomime.

London, 1844 Her gutters run with effluent and blood and her skies are choked with the smoke of a hundred factories and foundries, but above the smoke, the stars still shine. George Williams is a country boy who comes to the city to find his place in the world and to make his mark. Appalled by the spirit-crushing rhythms of the Workers life he fights to spread the light of God, and create a place where the soul can be nurtured. This is the story of how YMCA began this is our story. Commissioned by YMCA, Created by Saltmine Trust, The Soul in the Machine is a play for anyone who works for a living.

You wouldnt think it was possible for this rag and boning duo to still be at it after all this time, but here they are! Albert is still a dirty old man and Harold is as pretentious as ever! Come and join Steptoe & Son for all the hilarious conflict that our four classic episodes have to offer! See your favourite moments from the smash hit BBC television series, being performed for you live on stage just make sure you dont step in a present from Hercules the horse on your way in Steptoe & Son was first seen on our screens in 1962, running for 8 series and 57 episodes, ending in 1974. It starred the wonderful Harry H. Corbett and Wilfred Brambell, as the warring father and son, trying to cope with their ailing business and having to put up with each other along the way! Cattle Productions Ltd. brings you their adaptation of the original episodes in a brand-new production, from Director Dan Lewis. The show has many hugely funny moments and we hope were going to make the original writers, actors and programme, very proud! Wed love for you to join us!

Variety By The Sea! Ladies and gentlemen. boys and girls please do take your seats for East Yorkshires grand evening of Entertainment, YMCA Theatre, Scarborough presents Thats Variety. After 7 years of fab fundraising you do not want to miss our feast of Entertainment on Saturday 14th June, in aid once again of Cancer Research UK. The evening will feature marvellous magic, cracking comedy, dynamic dance and incredible vocalists both locally and from the national variety circuit. Just look at our incredible poster! There will also be a wonderful raffle with amazing prizes, raising even more money for the charity.
