The third largest racecourse in Britain with a capacity for 60,000 spectators. The highlight of the annual calendar is the three day Ebor Festival (featuring the Juddmonte International Stakes, Nunthorpe Stakes and the Yorkshire Oaks) every Aug. Featuring regular post race and stand alone music, comedy and party nights as well as toy, antique and food fairs. The spacious venue is also available for business, private and wedding events. With over 2,000 free parking spaces York Racecourse is located within a mile of the A64. York train station is just a 1.5 mile walk or bus ride away.

Yorks very own Oktoberfest - Yorktoberfest - makes a welcome return to York Racecourse this October, for its fifth successive year! Step inside the giant marquee on the Clocktower Enclosure, fill your stein with refreshing beer, grab a tasty bite from our German-inspired food stalls and head to your table for some hearty fun with friends.With the Bavarian Strollers live oompah band and the hilarious drag artist Velma Celli, a thigh-slapping, foot-stomping, feel-good time is guaranteed. Dancing is encouraged, as is the wearing of Lederhosen, Dirndls or any other fancy dress! So come and enjoy all things Bavarian at Yorktoberfest!
